One of the most challenging albeit both entertaining and rewarding parts of developing a game is to listen to the player's feedback about everything. And I usually take requests very seriously as in the case I'm announcing you today.
In a few days I will complete an extensive overhaul (one of many which I already did and I will do in the future as well) of the Medical Examinations. Since this is one of the main features of the game it's quite obvious that it's going to take a deeper development and big improvements over time.



As you can see in the picture above the boring wall of texts which were present during the final review of the exam are going to be replaced by this screen, where you will be able to see every examination available in the game and its outcome.

There's also a section to display points earned, your base income and total one, how much the agreement with Mr. Xhuan is going to cost you and how much you earned selling medicines yourself. Last section shows the Medical Board rating for the exam and the clinic's fame you lost or gained.

But that's not all.

One of the major complaints I receive are that without the proper equipment most exams fail and the player has no way to pre-determine this and to act in advance. This was originally intended to work like this as it would've simulated the damage occurred to the clinic by a lack of equipment and personnel, but I heard you when you said it was way too punishing for the player.

Starting from the "Review screen" update (in 0.0.19 before it's final release) you will now be able to perform each exam even if you don't have the proper equipment for it. The game will have you refer the patient to an external clinic/hospital.



Of course you will lose some trust from the patient as she will be disappointed about the lack of equipment of the clinic but it won't affect your fame nor the outcome of the exam.

These changes are huge since I had to make them on all 50 released examinations, but I think they are a necessary addition which will add to the fun and entertainment of the whole General Practitioner experience.

- Fixed a missing image issue in Beatrix exam
- Fixed an uncommon issue in Monique's 2nd exam that caused the game to report an error
- The stat screen no longer shows trust levels above 100, which is the intended maximum amount of trust for each character towards the doctor.
- Removed a label during Erika's dinner date that wrongfully made players believe to be stuck in a loop
- Fixed an issue during Rita's date at the Movie Theater that caused the date to switch to the pool without notice
- Page 5 of the patient's Codex was a mess. Now it isn't.

- Fixed a small issue in Fanny's exam giving an incoherent reply to a question during her interview
- Fixed an issue with Elisa's pregnancy test behaving erratically.
- Fixed an issue that caused the days to behave erratically while skipping to next exam
- Fixed an issue that made hard-working staff members take too many days off
- Technicians now grant a -8 fame penalty in case of their Skill Test failure (from -20)
- Technicians now grant a +5 fame bonus in case of their Skill Test success (from +10)

Hi guys! While always working for new features to introduce in General Practitioner, today I'll show you some screenshots of the upcoming 0.0.19 update of the game.

As release 0.0.19 is being developed, today I wanted to share the news about two new recurring patients, or patients who will return to the clinic after the first time you examine them.

The first one which you discover in the game is Monique, as she needs to return to the clinic since her eye problem worsened overnight.



Another patient you should expect to see again is Katia, with her depression problems and two more will be added in 0.0.19: Kenny and Maryanne.

Kenny is a police officer who's concerned about having Varicocele, a fairly common condition amongside law enforcement personnel. If untreated, varicocele could cause fertility issues. Depending on how you play his exam will determine if he will come back to the clinic, this time bringing her (hopefully) beautiful wife with him to be checked out.



The other patient is Maryanne, a 13-years-old girl who's basically asking for help with the situation in her family. This exam will make you face the often underestimated problem of child abandonment and its consequences.
Your choice, and yours only, will determine the outcome of this situation and its consequences that will be brought over the next time you'll meet Maryanne and her family.



General Practitioner is like a doctor's job. It's made up of examinations, it's about meeting new people, it's about getting some knowledge about medicine and health-related topics... but it's also made of choices, and each choice will reflect on the game at some point.

Hi guys.

First of all let me thank you for the very good reception of the game on Steam. I can say the game has ben well received and the first reviews are coming in. I want or maybe even better I need your feedback about the game since this is an Early Access and feedback is the most important thing.
