it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce, that the playtest for Wild West Dynasty is coming to an end. Thank you for playing. And thank you even more for all the support that reached us through the playtest period.
But unfortunately, now we have closed the gates. For one simple reason: We want to honor your much appreciated feedback and your valuable suggestions, how to further improve Wild West Dynasty and give you more updates.
But that will distract us a little from the big picture - which is preparing the game for it's release into version 1.0.
We have much more in store for you. And based on the feedback we got so far, we are sure you are going to like it. Because by now Wild West Dynasty is much more than just "our" game. It is your game as well. Most of the changes, additions and fresh content is based on your feedback and input.
We consider ourselves very lucky to have a community like you.
Welcome once again to the mid-year community update!
First Half of 2024: A Review
Before sharing what’s coming in the second half of 2024, we would like to discuss our experience with the content launched in recent months. We know that communication is very important to you, a topic we’ve discussed extensively on platforms like Discord. Therefore, we want to expand these biannual updates with more information about our most relevant projects.
Act 9
Shortly before this year began, Act 9 Part 1 – Secrets of the Undercity arrived, introducing new quests, levels, an underground world with new maps and monsters, two challenging raids, fresh gear, and an enhanced fairy system. With each new act, our goal is to continue expanding the wonderful world of NosTale and provide a new dose of fun, exploration, and exciting battles.
However, areas, instances, and enemies are not the only things we have worked on this first half of the year. In June, we released Act 9 Part 2 – Heroes of the Undercity, which brought a new generation of specialist cards with innovative mechanics and a new raid boss which will test your preparation for the end-game.
Quality of Life Changes
With the latest update, we have implemented several modifications to various aspects and systems of the game. These include adjustments to Pollutus and Giant Arma’s mechanics, and better rewards in raid boxes from Act 8 and 9 raids. We have also increased the drop rates of several items such as Mystic Power Crystals and Moritius Obsidian, as well as upping the gold limit in the NosBazaar and player inventory, among other changes.
Many quality-of-life changes have been introduced with this release. Some updates contain more noticeable changes than others, but this remains an important aspect of every addition to the game, so we appreciate you continuing to send us your suggestions and ideas via Discord.
NosFire Event Servers
This Easter we introduced a new kind of event – the NosFire temporary event server. This event server was designed to help returning and new players quickly catch up with end-game content. Thanks to your motivation, the first edition was an amazing success, and we greatly appreciate all your positive feedback about it. We will evolve it based on your comments for a future edition, also adding some more surprises to spice things up.
International Servers
Recently, we also merged the two international servers to ensure a balanced population across all servers, although some might have preferred different plans.
While a mega-server with all communities might seem appealing, it would likely lead to overcrowding and a worse experience. Rest assured, the other servers remain well-populated, and we will continue to monitor server numbers closely.
Second Half of 2024: What to Expect
For the second half of this year, you will notice some familiar content, some expected changes, as well as a few surprises. We want to ensure that the content we release meets both your expectations and our own high standards, so we won’t provide specific dates, just an overview. As we approach each release date, we will share more detailed information, so stay tuned to our channels!
NosTale is more alive than ever and will continue to receive updates actively. With all that said, here’s what’s coming in 2024!
Hardcore Raids
The main novelty for the second half of this year will be Hardcore Raids, new content designed to test the skills of the most advanced players. The current game raids will have a version with increased difficulty, which will require special conditions to access.
Additionally, this update will include a series of changes to systems closely related to raids, such as an increased family level, new family achievements, and a renewed token shop with exciting rewards.
Summer Oasis
Speaking of servers and merges, we can already inform you that this summer, a new special server will be available to welcome adventurers and help them progress faster. It will combine elements from NosFire, such as double events during weekends and the extra boosts that you enjoyed, along with a planned merge after a set period! This ensures that fresh characters are swiftly prepared for the hardcore raids, new specialists, and end-game challenges. More information will be provided as we approach the server launch.
Rework of Act 4
We know how eager you were for the Act 4 update, so it is especially satisfying for us to announce its arrival in 2024. There are still many details to be finalised about the definitive content, so at the moment, we cannot offer you a preview of what it will entail. What we can tell you is that our goal with this update is to revitalise the act’s content, making it relevant again for players in both PvE and PvP.
Quality of Life Improvements
As mentioned earlier, we greatly appreciate all the suggestions you send us on Discord. They are a valuable source of information about the state of the game and which content is most important for us to update and improve. Thanks to this feedback, we have prepared a series of quality-of-life improvements focused on some of the most relevant suggestions you have conveyed to us via the platform.
Seasonal Events
And of course, we will continue to have our regular seasonal content, including Summer, Anniversary, Halloween, and Christmas events.
As always, we appreciate all the comments you share about the community updates, and we look forward to reading your impressions on Discord, Reddit, and the forums. All feedback is welcome!
