We have just released the v2.1.7 update for Little Witch Survivors. This update primarily addresses a series of urgent fixes for the newly launched \[Encyclopedia System]. We have also prepared a small compensation for everyone as a token of our gratitude for your patience and support.
▌Update Details
In previous versions, we received feedback that the newly launched Encyclopedia System had the following issues, which affected the gaming experience for some players:
Issue 1: Introduction text for some entries was misaligned, making them difficult to read.
Issue 2: Opening the Encyclopedia System during combat could cause the player's equipped Guardian to disappear abnormally and their HP to become 1.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these issues may have caused. Our development team promptly investigated and fixed these problems. In version v2.1.7, these issues have now been resolved.
You can now check the in-game lore with peace of mind anytime, anywhere!
▌Compensation Details
As an apology, we will add an exclusive random event to the Halloween Night map in the upcoming Halloween event!
This new random event will bring more unexpected surprises and fun to your holiday exploration. Stay tuned!
This also serves as a preview: We will update four Halloween-themed Orange weapons on October 28th, and the exclusive random event for the Halloween Night map on November 1st.

* Fixed a bug where enemy heal bubbles would try to heal non-entity objects
* Fixed a bug where item logbook percentages could be over 100%
* Fixed the stomp ability triggering the spring
* Fixed sound effect for picking up items overlapping
* Fixed headphones not showing particles when being equipped
V0.1.0.3.2 has been pushed. This only contains minor UI styling changes and most importantly, it was built in a Unity editor that contains a security fix. There are no changes to writing or art.

Implemented 5 new challenges.
Two of them should be obtainable before unlocking Tier 2 of the skill tree, easing the early grind.
The new challenges are based on defeating a specified number of enemies.
All challenges will unlock automatically and retroactively when defeating an enemy in saved runs that already meet the conditions.
The amount of iron required to unlock Tier 2 has been reduced from 105 to 90
Farm card:
The wood cost has been reduced from 35 to 25
Pig card:
Increased earth received from 14 to 18
Increased provided attack from 2 to 3
Increased frustration from 17 to 22
Fixed issue where only one challenge unlock notification was shown when multiple challenges were unlocked simultaneously.
Now all unlocked challenges are displayed sequentially, one after another
Today's update mainly adds the settings menu for a few options.
Added settings menu.
Fixed a potential crash bug in inventory, if item image can't be found.
Fixed a bug where intro/outro text would skip to the next page instead of showing the entire text when interacting to skip the animated text effect.
Added a couple more atmospheric effects.
The settings currently menu allows you to adjust music volume, toggle the animated text effect, and delete save files. Access to the "View Controls" screen has also been moved from the main menu to the settings menu. More options might be added later.

First a word on release. I know you are all eagerly awaiting news on a release date for the game. While I am not ready yet to reveal a specific date I can tell you that development is on schedule for the planned date which is mere months away. When I am certain as possible that the game will be ready I will be letting you all know.

You can find a new boss in the Mushroom Swamp Biome. The Deathcap. This giant ferocious mushroom will bite, leap and vomit acid onto its foes. Also, beware the poisonous mushrooms growing on its cap. These release a poisonous gas cloud when launched.
The Deathcap can be summoned under a giant tree using a Mycelium Sigil, pieces of which can be found in structures throughout the Mushroom Swamp Biome.
