Here's a quick update on my plans for Emily Wants To Play:
I am still working on the console version of the game. It was a lot more work than I thought, but hopefully I get it finished soon. It is working great on both platforms (PS4 and Xbox One), but there are some little things I am still trying to wrap up. Things like: achievements, gameplay stats, cloud saves, etc... These are required for release.
Once I finish the console, I am going to update the Steam version of the game with everything I have learned from the consoles. There will be full controller support, optimized graphics and several gameplay improvements/changes.
At some point, hopefully soon, I am going to update the current Emily Wants To Play to work with VR (SteamVR, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift). HTC was kind enough to send me a Vive and it is so amazing. I really want the game to support it, plus make future VR titles. The first update will probably only support the headset with a keyboard/mouse combo or regular controller. The next VR update would be to get the Vive and Oculus controllers working in the game. The new VR feels so real though, it may make Emily Wants To Play TOO scary for some.
After all of that, I will finish the sequel! I am crazy excited about making the next game. I have already created some of the new characters and laid out the new areas. It will be bigger, include more story and be as scary as I can make it. :)
One more thing, I also want to make an Emily Wants To Play VR only experience. Virtual Reality gameplay is very unique and it is definitely a different experience compared to a normal first person game. I want to make something that really takes advantage of VR without being limited by normal game rules. This would be something within the realm of Emily Wants To Play but different than the current game.
Well, I have filled up my plate! I better get back to work :)
And again…I can’t say it enough… Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to everyone out there that has played Emily Wants To Play.

I released Emily Wants To Play on Android this weekend. So now the game is on mobile for iOS and Android. It is kind of hard to find it on Android even if you search for Emily Wants To Play. Not sure why yet. But here are the direct links to it for both platforms below:
Emily Wants To Play has also been approved for both Xbox One and PS4! Microsoft and Sony said they liked the game. So it is definitely going to be on those systems, but there is a much more lengthy process to get on those platforms. I will post a release date when I get a more definite one.
Thanks again to everyone that has played Emily Wants To Play. You are so AMAZING and AWESOME!

After weeks of trying to get the game crammed into the iPhone, I finally did it! The game has been released on iOS. It looks and feels very close to the PC version.
It works on the newer devices: iPhone5s, 6, 6s, 6+, 6+s, iPad Air 1/2, iPad Mini 3/4 and iPod 6th generation.
It may work on others, but I don't think it will look or work correctly.
Android Users: The Android is coming very soon, probably this weekend. I have it working on Android devices, but I need to test a little more before I publish it.

Several of you were asking to add the option to invert the mouse in the game. Now you can. On the bottom of the settings page, you can invert the Y (up and down) or X (left and right) axis. This affects the mouse and controller sticks as well. The settings will also auto-save.
-Windows 32 bit support
I originally only supported 64 bit to try and filter out older, slower computers. But it seems there are a good amount of people with decent computers running 32 bit operating systems. You still need a pretty good setup to run the game.
-Emily crawls into her hole a little smoother now :)
============ Update About Other Platforms ============
Emily Wants To Play has been approved for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. (Which is very exciting!) There's still lots to do: paperwork, converting, testing, etc..., but it is moving along.
I have been working like crazy on the mobile version of the game. I have it working on iOS right now. Still more to tweak, but it is working. If you head over to the official Emily Wants To Play twitter page [ https://twitter.com/EmilyWants2Play ] you can see an in-game screenshot of it running on an iPhone 6.
The game is now available on the Mac App Store, but it is already available for Mac here on Steam. Same price in both places. It doesn't matter which one you choose.
Linux users, I will try to get to you too. I haven't built anything for Linux yet, but I'm sure I can figure it out and get it working. I just need to fit it in somehow.

First off, I would like to say thank you to everyone, for the amazing positive reaction to Emily Wants To Play. There have been so many players, let’s players, live streamers, and spectators that have said many great things about the game. I truly appreciate it and it keeps me super motivated to make more for everyone.
Right now I am working on porting the game to several more platforms over the next couple of months. It is headed to the Mac App Store right now. I am trying to get it on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and possibly Steam Machines. A mobile release for iOS and Android is in the works too. I would like to fully support VR, so when I get my hands on some VR equipment, I will update the game to be completely playable on VR. It does work with VR right now (Oculus), but Mr. Tatters has 0 patience for head movement. Although, if you want, you can hang out with Kiki in VR at midnight.
I am also researching how to support more languages. It is being played all over the world and I really want to support more languages.
I have updated the game several times since release to fix various glitches and balance the gameplay more. Here is a list of some of the important changes:
-Emily was moonwalking in some cases! I had to tell her to stop that.
-The video settings are working correctly now and it saves correctly. If you change to windowed mode, the screen will stay like that after you die or restart.
-Vsync is set to ON when you start. You can turn it off, but screen tearing may occur. I have tested it many ways, and Vsync ON gives the best quality.
-Kiki was given the ability to do a little more than just disappear. She might feel like turning off the lights or maybe she feels like appearing behind you again.
-If Chester is feeling energetic, he may sometimes go a little farther than normal.
-Chester is now 10 times faster! ;) (Just kidding! His speed is the same.)
-Mr. Tatters was happy with himself and he stayed the same.
-If you cheat Emily’s game, she will never give up trying to get you. She WILL find a way!
And to those of you who have asked if there will be a sequel… YES :)
Thank you to everyone for playing Emily Wants To Play, Shawn
