Let’s Talk Tools of the Trade
It's crucial to become familiar with the tools you need as you polish your abilities for the ideal robbery. These aren't just any tools; they are the tools that will make you the greatest thief in Thief Simulator 2. They are your keys to success, your henchmen, and your tools of the trade. Let's examine a few in more detail:
Lockpick This isn't your everyday lockpick; this tool allows you to tackle medium-difficulty locks and even cut open windows for that silent entry. It's the Swiss army knife for burglars! And there are a few versions of this tool!
Neon Bot’ Drone Scoping out your heist location has never been easier. Use the drone to mark tenants, inspect the area, and plan your path to victory. Remember, a well-prepared thief is a successful thief!
Hacking Laptop Some loot is behind high-tech security systems. But worry not, with your hacking laptop, disabling security panels and unlocking electronic doors will be a breeze. Make sure to map out the correct path and secure your prize.
Sleeping Gas Ensure a silent and undisturbed heist with the Sleeping Gas. It's your silent partner in crime, allowing you to swoop in and snatch valuables while everyone else is in a deep slumber. It's not just a tool; it's your ticket to a hassle-free burglary.
Here is the full arsenal at your disposal:
Flashlight
Crowbar
Basic Lockpicking Tool
Lockpick
Automatic lockpick
Glass Cutter
Micro Camera
Binoculars
Noisy walkie-talkie
Dog meat
Baton
Stethoscope
Car lock pick gun

Tranquilizer gun
Tranquilizer dart
Car disassembly toolbox
Shovel

A word of advice, using the tranquilizer gun or sleeping gas won’t raise alarms as it ensures your victims won't call the police upon waking up, unlike when using a baton.

KNOWN ISSUES
Working on a fix where party members get erroneously shuffled due to input bugs
Localization is still being worked on and will be coming later this week
This week's update includes the ability to add custom sound effects- and we're excited to see what the community can do with them! 🎤 We will be adding voicelines for the base roster in the coming weeks, after auditions are complete for selecting our voice actors.
In addition to custom sounds, we've added a new sprite selection tool- so you can select a region of pixels, drag it, and copy it between layers. We have some addition tools coming soon to make it easier than ever to edit your sprites directly in game! ✏️
Full list of changes:
Custom sounds effects:
You can now add custom sound effects to your characters (there's an option to "Import Custom" from the Add Sounds pane on the right side)
Added a new action: "Play Sound From List" - allows adding up to five sounds, and it will pick one at random
New Sprite Selection tool:
The new tool is available anywhere that you can draw sprites (animation rigs and the main animation timeline)
With the Selection tool selected, use the mouse to select a region of sprites
Once selected, click the region to drag it around
Pressing delete will delete just the selected area
Ctrl+A selects the entire canvas
Ctrl+C copies a selected region, and Ctrl+V pastes it (so you can copy content between animations and animation rig layers)
Importing a sprite places it in a selection automatically so that you can drag it without impacting other sprites on the frame
Changes to the Import Sprites pane:
Added a new option to "Clear existing" - if false, the added sprite won't override the existing sprites on the frame, so you can assemble multiple sprites without needing an external editor
Replaced the "Keep window open" button with a pushpin visual icon in the top left corner
All settings are now saved when you close the window so that you don't need to select them again next time
Character editor - small visual changes:
New outline button for animation rig timelines
Added a warning before importing a sprite if no animation rig layer is selected
Bug fixes:
Audio muted while the app is running was the background (it now continues playing)
Deselecting hitboxes can cause a rare crash
"Failed to download workshop characters" error is triggered on launching the game when player has 0 workshop characters
Set Random Value can't set the max value if it's an Integer variable
Undo in the animation rig details pane can cause sprites on unselected layers to revert incorrectly
After undoing a bind operation in the animation rig details pane, redoing doesn't always work
This game started as a hobby project in 2020. And now, I'm working on it full-time. It's been an incredible journey, and I'm excited to bring it to the public and begin a relationship with the game's players.
I want to make sure the launch is as smooth as possible. I've included a link to a bug form in the game as well as a link to my Discord channel where I can address feedback, bugs, feature requests, etc.
I'm very excited for you all to be able to play it!

STAR WARS™: The Old Republic™ - SWTOR Community Team
We are moving into the final stage of migrating the last two servers over to the cloud! Details below.
Date: September 20th Time: 7am CT / 12pm UTC Expected downtime: 6 hours
For this rollout, players should expect for all servers to remain offline for the duration of the maintenance window. This is to account for additional testing on every server to ensure that all servers behave and perform cohesively and there are no interruptions to the player experience.
As always, we will be posting in relevant threads with updates on when the servers will be taken down and when they are brought back up.
-Indicators have been added for phase rush, shrink drive, and slow time cool downs. -A bug correlating with difficulty on the completion of level 33 has been fixed.
