RELEASE TRAILER
Before you see the trailer, let us tell you a story about how we got the idea for the game, or how many times we thought about ... Nah, I’m kidding! Let’s just dive in!!
The price for the Dude, Stop will be 12.99€ or 14.99$ with a 10% launch discount for the first week.
And before you take out your pitchforks, just remember that we have 2 contests running, where you can get a FREE COPY of the game!
But in all seriousness, we tried to make the price as low as we could allow it. And before you say “but your game has pixels instead of real art”, just remember that the game is about Voice interactions, and making that Voice angry. Where else can you find something like that?! Exactly!
Tradings cards are finished, achievements are implemented, the game is play-tested daily, Steam approved our game, and even the Release Trailer is out!!... What’s the next logical step?! That’s right - release the game in 2 days, on June 1st! We hope to see you all there! And bring friends, yeah!!
Let’s talk about the Contest, Localizations, and... another Contest?
CONTEST #1 and #2
For the last couple of days we’ve been trying to run two contests on our Discord server, where we already gave away a couple of FREE COPIES of the game on Steam. And it’s going kinda well! So let’s extend it to this cozy place as well!
How do you participate? Well, you need to take a picture of something that suits the “Dude, Stop” spirit, or you need to come up with a joke! That easy!... But full rules are a little bit longer, so go read them in Contest #1 or Contest #2 discussions or in our latest Blog post here..
For more motivation, you can scroll through the submissions so far on this special website: http://duckabase.com And don’t ask why it’s called like that. Just don’t.
LOCALIZATION
Now onto the Bad news!! On the day of the release, June 1st, “Dude, Stop” will have only 1 language: English voice over and English subtitles/UI.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who was waiting for this feature, and for false promises from our side. We hope to make it up to you shortly after the release.
The reason is that we cramped too much text and voice into the game and in the end we had no time to translate it before the release. But worry not! Localization IS available in our game, with all the “change language” options and fully working implementation. We just need to get ourselves a proper translator and some time. So expect more news about it after the release!

We have submitted the game to Steam for a review. We already have achievements, and currently working on Trading cards and badges. Oh, and the Release trailer is also coming along nicely!
CONCLUSION
Once again, sorry for promising too much. But localization will return a little bit later, since all the support for it is already built in and tested. “Dude, Stop” is officially coming out on June 1st, 2018! The main platform is going to be PC, the price is still being decided on, and yes the game is going to have Steam Achievements, Cards, Badges and the rest!
CONTEST
We have an idea to run a contest! The prize could be your name in the credits, or a free copy of the game! Yeah! FREE!... Right now we are in the stages of preparing the art and rules, so please come back when contest is officially on. We will announce it here, on our Discord Server and on every other soc. media you are following us! (links below)
CONCLUSION

RELEASE TRAILER
Right now we are working on the Release Trailer: we already recorded the gameplay, recorded Voice Over, and even the Composer sprinkled a bit of his magic! And now we just need to finish it... But! BUTT! The initial feedback is positive and that’s a good thing. That means that the trailer will be ready soon. Get hyped!! (That’s how you hype people, right? By just telling them? Ok, gotcha.)

The game is ready!... Or is it? Let’s find out together!
GAME IS READY *question mark*
As you know (or don’t) the biggest task left to do was the Audio! All the sounds, music, voice effects... it affects mood and atmosphere and is basically the most important thing in the game. And it’s kind of ready! And by “kind of” I mean that it’s totally playable! Stuff is missing here and there, and some places require a couple fixes, but we should be able to mend it all before the release...
THE RELEASE DATE *dot dot dot*
If the game is playable, and the Audio is ready, then what now?! Should we announce the release date?! We totally should! But we won’t. ...okay, okay, now calmly move the mouse away from the dislike button - there are couple reasons for us not announcing the date: we still need the final trailer, a couple more playtests and do the other... stuff. So no release date for now. Sorry :(
Just to be clear: the game won’t be out next week. Or the week after that... Basically, we need more time to prepare. But when the time comes, you’ll be the first to know.

A NEW WEBSITE
While our composer is doing his stuff, we spent a few days making a landing page for the game! It probably doesn’t work! You may be lucky and it will work a bit, but it’s still buggy as hell. Feel free to express your emotions towards this piece of... art... in the comments! I’m gonna collect them and bind them and read them as bedtime horror stories to the programmer. Don’t be gentle.
The Composer has sent us a build with new sounds and music, and oh! OH! It’s so nice! It’s like we have all these screams, and intense music, and, like, sounds... and stuff! And all of it works!... Well, except for the last pack and another list of bugs we found, but still - we have music! And sounds! And the voice sounds even angrier now!

We did the unspeakable - we finished voicing the game!!
THE VOICE IS OVER
Yes, it finally happened! After couple of weeks of recording sessions with our angry screaming voice actor, we placed a stamp of approval on the audio files we received, and we even did a little bit more - we invited two more VAs! That makes it THREE Voice Actors in the game!!... Two of them have really episodical roles, but still - it’s a thing to brag about. So be excited! (That’s an order.)
Oh yeah, almost forgot - after we recorded everything, we also implemented everything. So it's not only gameplay, it's also the narrator speaking, the whole package, the glorious goodness. AS IF IT WAS AN ALMOST COMPLETE GAME NOW! Whoo-hoo!! Let's celebrate with one more year of development. (jk)

THE REST
...did we mention that we are still waiting for the sounds and music? Oh yeah, we still are. That’s the one and only thing we are waiting for. We are also researching localizations (since the text is over-voiced and there is no turning back now), and calculating how many dictionaries we need to read before we can do it ourselves... Or maybe we’ll find someone. Maybe.
Meanwhile, we decided to do a proper landing page for the game. It’s gonna have cool art, some Dude-Stop-ish buttons, and should be a cool website to NEVER share with your friends. #ReversePsychology
