Glenn Bearna Dungeon
Entry Details
Enter Glenn Bearna through the barrier in Sliab Mis, north of Sidhe Sneachta.
Dungeon Entry Conditions:
Cumulative level 20,000 or higher
Arcana total level 50 or higher
Completing the final Glenn Bearna scenario quest: [Content] A Fantasia of Endless Winter
A minimum of 2 to a maximum of 8 party members can enter the dungeon
Note: If you enter with an odd number, party members without pairs can have difficulty with some dungeon objectives.
Glenn Bearna has two dungeon difficulty levels: Normal and Hard.
There is no entry limit, but clear rewards can be obtained up to 3 times a week per character.
Entry Details
In order to clear the dungeon, you must overcome the frost’s grasp within Glenn Bearna.
Solve the paradox between the Day and Night timelines of Glenn Bearna.
The dungeon is played in pairs with the Lifeline system.
The party will be split up into Day and Night groups, and you will be paired with someone from the other side.
You can select which side to join and the pair will be randomly determined.
You share Lifeline Health with your Lifeline Partner.
Lifeline Health gauges the shared health bar of the two paired party members depending on the dungeon difficulty.
Lifeline Health can be reduced or restored by certain monsters or scenarios within the dungeon.
When one gets knocked unconscious while paired in a Lifeline, the Lifeline Health will be reduced by the HP of the unconscious character.
Resurrection is possible unless the Lifeline Health reaches 0, and the character who got knocked unconscious and used up the Lifeline Health cannot be revived.
When Lifeline Health is reduced to 0, characters with remaining health can still play.
If all of the party members' Lifeline Health decreases or there are no pairs left on either side, the dungeon will fail and you will not be able to proceed further.
There is a 30-second cooldown when using potions in the dungeon.
You can re-enter the Glenn Bearna Dungeon up to 3 times if disconnection occurs.
You will move through the dungeon to clear the areas of enemies, and gather the necessary materials to survive the cold.
Party members in the Daytime are tasked with acquiring Firewood, while those in Nighttime are tasked with acquiring Ember.
These are accumulated as points and can be gathered by defeating certain enemies. Which party members have accumulated the Firewood and Ember is shown in the party details on the left of the screen.
The party must work together to stop the enemies and correct the paradox affecting the areas of Glenn Bearna.
Strategically use the braziers, lit brightly by the gathered Firewood and Embers, to collect the souls of enemies and unleash them upon your foes.
What else may you encounter in the chill of the winter?

Introduction of Erg Grade
The Erg Grade system has been implemented into the Erg System.
B-Grade and A-Grade Erg Enhancement methods have been added. Existing Erg enhancements are categorized as S-Grade Erg, being the highest grade.
Note: Existing Erg enhanced weapons will become S-Grade Erg enhanced weapons.
Advancement Catalyst B and Advancement Catalyst A items have been added.
These Catalyst items can be crafted using the Magic Craft skill with at least Rank 9 Magic Craft.
Advancement Catalyst B:
Shyllien Crystal x2
Fine Firewood x20
Hay Bale x5
Holy Water of Lymilark x20
Advancement Catalyst A:
Shyllien Crystal x5
Divine Mineral Fragment x5
Desecrated Charm Chunk x2
Thorny Blue Shackle x2
Massive Turtle Shell Chip x2
When attempting to apply Erg to your weapon, you can select one of the three grades which are B, A, and S to start grade enhancement.
Weapons with a lower Erg grade will have a lesser Erg effect compared to a higher grade, however the effect is easier to achieve.
The basic effect of B-grade Erg starts from level 11.
A-grade Ergs show the basic effect from level 16 and the bonus effect from level 26.
After leveling up a B Grade Erg to level 50, you can talk to Kaelic with an Advancement Catalyst B to upgrade it to A Grade. After increasing the grade, the Erg level will start again at level 30.
A-grade and B-grade Erg weapons can also be transferred using the Transference Catalyst, but cannot be transferred if the transfer target has a different Erg level.
Erg Grade is added to the Auction House as a detailed search option.
Additional Weapon Erg Effects have been added for the following weapon types: *Note: Erg effects for each level based on S grade.
Erg Enhancement has been improved to add an increased chance of success after a failure when attempting to level break.
When attempting to level up Erg, the success rate now increases as the number of consecutive failures increases.
Erg can now be removed from a weapon by talking to Kaelic and selecting the Remove Erg option.
Caution: If an Erg is removed from a weapon, the Erg cannot be recovered.
Erg cannot be removed from weapons that are sealed with a Seal Scroll.
Additional Enhancement Changes
The readability of the equipment upgrade menu has been improved.
Upgrades made to items can now be reverted using the Upgrade Reversion Kit.
Normal Upgrades, Artisan Upgrades, and Gem Upgrades can be removed to return to the previous upgrade. (Special upgrades cannot be removed.)
When reverting an upgrade, the proficiency used for the upgrade is restored up to 100.
This item can be used on equipment that has been specially upgraded, and does not affect the special upgrade status.
This item cannot be used on equipment that has been upgraded or in the process of being upgraded before the addition of the Upgrade Reversion Kit (before maintenance on July 13, 2023).
Upgrade Reversion Kit can be crafted using the Handicraft skill or purchased from the Item Shop.
Items that have been upgraded will now show the list of current upgrades applied in the item tooltip.
You cannot check the list of upgrades for equipment that has been upgraded or in the process of being upgraded before the addition of the Upgrade Reversion Kit (before maintenance on July 13, 2023).

Minor Update v1.3.9.4
Fixed various inconsistencies in the refit logic. The refit times should now be accurate in most if not all occasions. Please note that when the shipyard limit becomes exceeded, the refit times will increase, so this is not an error but a feature.
Fixed error in the price calculation of discounted mothballed ships.
Fixed minor error in the calculation of HE shells amount.
Fixed a few issues found in the mounts of Hood towers and their variants (different max. calibers allowed per side).
Fixed minor issue related with the custom renaming of ships.
Reduced growth of crew pool so that crew losses become more important.
Fine tuning in aiming mechanics to be more dynamic. Accuracy should grow faster now.
The development of agriculture in early civilizations was vital to growing the population and often signified an advancing society. This is why Farms are able to be built from the very beginning of a new game of Ara: History Untold - they represent a society's transition from hunting and gathering to an agricultural civilization.
Farms are one of the most important Improvements and can be crucial to a budding Nation. While one is necessary, building multiple can generate more food and in turn promote City growth. To maximize the food output of a Farm, they can be placed on fertile regions that are likely to provide bonus food in addition to the default amount that Farms will produce on their own. If a player doesn’t have enough room to build more Farms, they can also be upgraded and be assigned workers for larger outputs.
Another important factor is the rate at which a City is consuming food. In Ara players can adjust how much food is consumed by the Nation's populous, which can increase the rate at which your City grows. The more food available for consumption, the faster the cities will grow, but beware, the larger the City, the larger the appetite!
Farms also function as harvesters that gather natural resources from the map for use in building Improvements, Triumphs, outfitting Armies, and more. These harvesters allow for players to choose what item they want to gather from the natural resources. For example, the player can choose to gather extra food, money, or even malt to brew beer when harvesting resources like wheat, rye, or corn. For a refresher on natural resources, we've discussed them on this previous post.
Placing farms on regions with natural resources won't just affect the player's strategy but also the world around them! Farms are visually distinct depending on what resource they are placed on. A pig farm will look very different from a wheat farm, and each will have unique vignette animations to simulate life.
Stay tuned for more as we continue to develop Ara: History Untold!
Congratulations for getting through part of Section 13 successfully (or not) during the demo! We hope you enjoyed fighting off some QTs while getting more insight into how the game has been progressing throughout the months.
As you already know, we’ll be launching Early Access for Blackout Protocol on July 19th at 4PM PT! Before we head into what to expect the week leading up to Early Access, let’s take a step back and review what our team has learned from the demo feedback.
Re: Agents
We saw many new players try out Blackout Protocol during the demo, and many of them heard about our game through Steam’s featuring and recommendations! Thank you Steam Next Fest and the push for indie games!
Re: Combat
As many of the Agents were new to the game and spent less time playing the demo–there were so many games to try in this summer’s Steam Next Fest!–we saw that some Agents weren’t able to pick up on the various combat mechanics in Blackout Protocol as previous Agents had in our Closed Betas. We are exploring different ways to help Agents notice these nuances as they continue to play Blackout Protocol.
We received feedback largely similar to previous CBs, focusing around character movement speed, difficulty, friendly fire, and reload mechanics. Combat balance is something we are constantly monitoring and reviewing, so we will continue to make adjustments throughout Early Access.
Re: Permanent Growth and Roguelite Elements
Less agents found permanent enhancements and unlocks to be helpful compared to previous betas, most likely due to the limited content of the demo and Agents spending less time playing. Also only 3 tiers of Permanent Upgrades were available through the DNS Defragmenter. We will continue to monitor Agents’ feedback regarding permanent growth during Early Access and ensure that Agents feel a difference in their growth as they progress.
Re: Key Art
We saw that many Agents found our current key art to be a good representation of the game. When presented with multiple images, the current key art was clearly the favorite with 45.3% of the votes, with a distant second coming in with 17.3%. Lore and immersion was incorporated into the demo with the addition of voice acting and we hope to bring even more throughout Early Access and beyond!
Re: Early Access
Don’t forget that Early Access starts on July 19th at 4PM PT! We know that all of you cannot wait to get playing, so in order to help with the wait, we’ll be starting a daily blog series tomorrow! We’ll be launching a blog post every single day until Early Access release day with in-depth information regarding Blackout Protocol that you may or may not have known previously!
We hope you all enjoyed playing the demo of Blackout Protocol and are looking forward to Early Access and more! See you all in Section 13 soon.
