First, the promised update for May called 'Diplomacy Update' will be delayed to June or July. This will give us more time to implement and test some big changes to the game.
But we will instead release small updates in the coming weeks.
For today's update:
New Wonder: Great Fountain inspired in the Italian Fontana di Trevi
New Building: Water Market
Balances: The raider events, in the regular mode, are now less agressive
The stone resources now have more stone! Only works for new games
Which class spends the most time on the floor? Should you dance with Nia or Shana? What Brelshaza Gate are you most likely to get jailed in? If you put a group of Lost Ark players together in a room and asked them these questions, they’d all argue without end. I mean, remember the forums?
The question we’d like to ask is who can use their knowledge of Lost Ark to successfully convince others they’re correct? We’ll find out in the Lost Ark Academy Debate Club.
Join us in Mokoko Village for a new video series where three Lost Ark content creators and a fish salesman debate hot topics, play styles, and all things Lost Ark. With new episodes dropping once a week for the next 12 weeks, our Community Manager Roxx has her work cut out determining who’s a Mokoko and who’s not on the road to the live finale.
The four content creators competing are Stoopzz, DatModz, Bobajenny, and Grenton. There’s no better way to introduce them than their own introductions in Episode 1, which can be found below words of welcome from our unhinged director.
“With the Lost Ark Academy Debate Club, I wanted to bring the community together with a series that was honest, fun, and humbling. However, in amplifying the voices of our most passionate Arkesians, I'm afraid RNG has sewn bloodlust into this series, and we've got a handful of wild Mokokos going for each other's throats. The last thing I'd want is for you to watch it and argue whether the winner deserved to win. Because the person who wins is the one who deserves it, right? Watch the ****ing show. And don't forget to smash that like button!" -Michael Lovan, Head of Community Video
We’re excited to hear your thoughts and feedback on the series, and to involve the community in the live finale later this year. Episodes will drop every Thursday, each with new debates, some interviews with our team, and other very specific Lost Ark references.
Have any thoughts on the debate topics or who you thought won? Let us know in the comments, and make sure you subscribe to the PlayLostArk YouTube Channel to get notified when the next eleven debates release. We’ll see you next week for episode two, and in the meantime, in Arkesia!
I am SUPER excited to talk about this month’s devlog for Vampire Rancher. But GIFs are worth a thousand words, so check these out 👀
Buildings that are open at night will have cozy lit windows. These shops or services are available for the player to use during the night and/or have guests inside them.
Why do Vampires ranch humans? Well, to feed on their nutritious blood of course! As you feed on visitors, you will gain more XP and unlock different recipes that you can use to craft new items.
I’d also like to introduce a new character in the town, Benjy. Benjy is a Vampire familiar that’s working for the local Vampire Lord in the town. You’ll team up with Benjy in the first quest to learn the ropes by preparing a feast to celebrate your arrival. From there, you'll learn skills like farming, crafting, feeding on humans, and more.
I am also happy to announce that a trailer for Vampire Rancher (HYPE!) will be available in the coming weeks. It will showcase the core gameplay loop, as well as some story content that’ll come in the demo (WHAT?). Yup, that’s right, the demo for Vampire Rancher is also in the works so that we can really get the ball rolling for this game.
Before launching the demo on Steam, I'll be looking for some alpha testers for some feedback. If you're interested, join the Vampire Rancher discord for updates on that!
As always, let us know if you have any feedback or suggestions, and stay tuned for more updates!

Urgent report from the bridge! All incoming vox transmissions report that the beta of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is available to play!
Start the game from the very beginning, create your unique character using the newly implemented character creation system, and try our new epic space battles! A full chapter taking place in the dark city of Commorragh, a new Adeptus Astartes companion, and a lot of new content lies ahead of you. Check the full list of changes below!
Moreover, a new spectacular trailer is here! Take a look at how important your decisions will be and how drastically they can affect the course of events:
The Alpha used to start in Act II, exposing only a fraction of the story and leaving many questions unanswered.
The Beta allows you to start from the very beginning, earning your position as a Lord Captain in the Prologue and Act I, continuing through the familiar, but updated Act II, and finally venturing into the dark city of Commorragh, home of the insidious Drukhari, in Act III.
2. New Space Marine companion
Ulfar, a mighty Adeptus Astartes from the Space Wolves chapter, will join your retinue in the Beta to crush your enemies in the Emperor’s name.
3. Character generation and tutorials
In the Alpha, you were thrown into the fray. The Beta brings in a proper character generator with many customization options (which will be further expanded by release) and numerous tutorials that will help you to figure out various aspects of gameplay.
4. Updated character progression
Character progression has seen a significant overhaul, introducing 1 brand new doctrine and 6 updated old doctrines (previously called careers) with dozens of new and updated skills and abilities. Psykers and Navigators have also received their own ability trees.
5. Combat preparation phase
In the Beta, you are finally able to select the initial placement of your characters before the combat begins. Besides general tactical flexibility, this will also allow you to prepare for encounters that take place after cutscenes.
6. Convictions system
Important decisions taken during the course of the adventures of your Lord Captain will have lasting consequences called Convictions. Your character will accumulate points towards Imperialis, Benevolentia, or Hereticus, unlocking new perks and dialogue options. While the system is still in very early stages, you can already have a glimpse of it in the Beta.
7. Levelling up and upgrading your voidship
Ship management has received its own interface, where you can manage and upgrade the components of your ship and select new abilities as it levels up.
In the future, you will also be able to manage officer posts on the ship taken by your companions, but that functionality is not yet available for the Beta.
8. Space combat overhaul
Space combat has received a massive update, including new space backgrounds, new HUD, shield UI, combat grid visuals, and a great number of balance and gameplay updates.
9. New system map visuals
The system map has received a full set of stunning new visuals.
10. New global map
The global map has received a lot of UI updates, including new art, quest objective markers, new scan visual effects, and more.
11. Updated colonization
Colonization has also seen a significant update, with improved UI and an array of balance changes.
12. Loot and cargo UI updates
The loot and cargo UI has received a significant overhaul, allowing you to easily move and manage items between these two categories without manually browsing every container.
13. Reputation, vendors, and profit factor overhaul
The profit factor is no longer a regenerating resource, but a modifiable threshold instead. Along with reputation, it now determines which items are available to you from vendors. As for the vendors themselves, once you meet them, you may now contact them remotely from your voidship.
14. New main menu
The main menu of the game has received its own art and now looks way closer to its final version.
15. Updated dialogue UI
Dialogue UI has received new art, better font readability, and more space on the screen.
We are happy to announce certain bug fixes and changes have been implemented.
1. Leaderboards now work 2. Achievements for dodging now are 30 and 70 respectively. Reduced from 100 and 500 3. Point system was too lenient, now 3 points per character collision
Thanks for sticking with us through what ended up as quite the journey, everyone. And now we're here! We got it all in!
This patch features Skate Heaven, a new level with a bunch of new quests and fun little closer for the game. It's maybe our biggest level? Certainly one of our more varied, in terms of terrain types. It being the play park for a rich legendary skate-bird gave us a lot of leeway to go harder on things, so we had some fun with that.
There's also selfie stick mode! I highly recommend not attempting to just skate normally with it on, though, cus woof, it'll definitely cause motion sickness in folks. That's there for the handful of people doing photography in-game, since now it'll let them put the camera at the angle they want for a trick and it'll (mostly) just stay there while keeping up with them. It's a similar tool to the drop cam, just for different shots.
But yep, again, thanks everyone for following along with what turned out to be a ridiculously fun development process. Never in a million years thought that silly little skate demo I kickstarted back in 2019 would become anything like this. Heck, there's even a plush skatebird on its way out, this being the production sample they sent me:
If this update has any weird bugs crop up, we'll fix 'em, but beyond that- thanks again for all your support, and, (hopefully!) see y'all next game!
