Document Reading Bug Fix

Some players were experiencing issues when trying to read multiple documents at the same time. We’ve fixed this issue by allowing zoom only once per document and reactivating it only after closing the current document. This way, it’s no longer possible to read more than one at a time, preventing the errors that affected the more impatient players.

Final Item Pickup Bug Fix

I just watched a streamer finish the game live and discover a bug right at the end. What an embarrassing moment! Thanks to them, I was able to fix an issue that occurred when picking up the last item of the game, where the character would get stuck with their eyes closed and couldn’t continue. Now it’s fixed!

Graphics Menu Improvements

Several issues in the graphics options menu have been fixed. All settings are now properly available, including Lumen, Screen Space, or Disabled (which is the default option). Additionally, all other graphical features have been adjusted to be fully accessible and work more reliably.

Optimization and Performance

We’ve made several internal improvements to optimize the game’s overall performance and slightly increase FPS.

Personal Note from the Developer

I say this with all my heart:
To everyone leaving negative reviews without any kind of context or explanation… I still love you too.
But it would help me a lot if, when something doesn’t work properly, you could add a bit more detail or context in your comments. That way I can identify and fix issues much faster.

My goal is always to make the game run as smoothly as possible and to give you the best experience I can.
Tropical Monster Girls - sweetcakesgames

Fixed some bugs introduced in 1.5.

Fixes

  • Fixed Elf Sister (Tall)'s new male animation.

  • Fixed buildable visuals sometimes staying permanent invisible until you restarted your game.

The bug causing buildables to stay invisible was challenging to fix due to how difficult it was to recreate. Lots of oddly specific requirements needed to be met for the bug to occur. But we got it fixed in record time!

GHPC Early Access has been updated to version 20251030. As always, you can get additional info on this and future updates by visiting our Discord server and YouTube channel. Links are on the GHPC website.

A NOTE ON PRIORITIES

The bulk of the team's efforts are now dedicated to finishing the remaining roadmap phases. These are longer-running tasks that don't fit cleanly into the typical update cadence we've established. Despite this, we're still able to bring smaller batches of regular improvements to the game, and we look forward to launching the more anticipated features when they're ready.

For more information, check out our recent developer stream.

NEW MISSION

This update introduces one additional Command Mode mission: "Support Strike", located in the Eastern Hills list in the Instant Action section. You'll be in charge of a T-72 force, tasked with overrunning a vulnerable NATO position and then holding it against any counterattacks.

As usual, the mission customization feature allows you to swap out vehicles and ammo at will once you've completed a mission at least once, so if you want to try this scenario with a different equipment matchup, the sky's the limit.

NEW AMMO: 3BM9

In the early days of the 125mm main gun on Soviet tanks, subcaliber ammunition wasn't quite as advanced as it became in the mid to late 1980s. The first main service round to hit the inventory was the 3BM9 APFSDS, a maraging steel dart designed to defeat the M60 series tanks of its day.

This round will appear on the Pact side of the campaign mode, should the logistics situation become truly dire. It's also quite useful for pairing with the early T-64 and T-72 models to create 1970s-style scenarios using the mission customizer.

BMP-1 IMPROVEMENTS

In the midst of the many larger tasks on the board, we've finally found a moment to touch up the equipment on the BMP-1. The gunsight now features its complete ballistic markings for high explosive (HE) rounds and a more useful vertical position for the reticle, which should help aim shots at longer ranges, should the need arise.

We've also added the PG-15VS ammunition, an improved 73mm HEAT round that iterates on the original PG-15V. Soviet BMP-1s and the East German BMP-1P now have this revised round in their default ammunition load. You can select any 73mm HEAT round for use by BMP-1s in the mission customizer.

NEW AUDIO FEATURES

Our audio engineer continues to plug away at improving immersion through new sound effects. In this update we introduce impact sounds - the clangs and crunches that happen when you run your vehicle into things. We've also added some impact sounds for turrets landing on the ground after an unscheduled flight.

The NSVT machine gun has also had its audio updated to convey its correct fire rate. You can use this gun on the T-64 series tanks as a remote-controlled weapon system.

PODBOI CLADDING

Soviet tanks during the Cold War era were often fitted with a special polymer lining to counteract neutron radiation, keeping the crew safer in the event of a battle unfolding against the backdrop of nuclear war. This material was a specially crafted blend similar to modern polymer body armor (UHMWPE), but infused with boron and other substances to enhance anti-radiation properties. A layer of this "podboi" cladding covered most interior surfaces of some tanks, starting with the T-55A.

It turns out, this dense material also served as a fairly effective spall liner. We were able to locate documentation of the anti-spall effects, which can be summarized broadly as a reduced spall cone angle and slightly reduced spall lethality. It will not remove all spall, stop primary penetrators, or anything of the sort - but in some very specific cases it could make the difference between surviving a hit and taking mission kill level damage.

We've now added podboi cladding, with the proper effectiveness, to the T-55A in GHPC. We'll see how the feature turns out on this vehicle and then consider what to do about the others in this era that were outfitted with similar linings.

Hey everyone! 💫

We’ve reached our third weekly sprint and we’re excited to announce that tomorrow we’ll be releasing the next update! While we’re still in our Early Access journey, this week marks a small shift, we’re starting to slow down the pace just a bit to focus on bigger, more meaningful updates. After next week’s hotfix, we’ll move to a 2–3 week cycle with deeper gameplay, performance and content improvements.

But for now, we’ve packed this week’s update with tons of fixes, improvements, and colorful new touches you’ll love. Don’t forget to check out the full list in the detailed Steam post tomorrow.

⚔️ Combat and Gameplay Improvements

This week we focused on making the early game experience smoother and a bit more forgiving for new players:

  • Flavius is now slightly easier to defeat. Early random instances and the Caravanserai level have also been tuned down, enemies deal less damage and go down a bit faster.

  • We’re still actively working on improving enemy AI, but for now, you should find the opening battles more approachable and less punishing.

  • As for finding your way around, while the full tutorial isn’t ready yet, we’ve added a few shimmering breadcrumbs to help new adventurers navigate the palace and early quests more easily.

🧭 Bug Fixes & Optimizations

One of the biggest focuses this week was the ongoing chest item loss issue, and we’ve made major progress:

  • Fixed issue: Players will no longer lose all of their stored items.

  • ⚙️ Partial fix: Save data is no longer being duplicated when chests are moved. There is still some unexpected data being saved from unknown sources, which we’re continuing to track down.

  • ⚠️ Partial fix: Loading the Palace with a large number of chests (or with a lot of save data) can still cause lag. The reduced save data makes this much less noticeable, but it still needs additional optimization work.

You will safely rearrange your quarters again (though maybe don’t fill your room with 20 chests just yet 😅). We’ve also cleaned up numerous animation, collision, and lighting issues, expect smoother motion, fewer glitches, and better performance overall.

💎 Visuals, Variations & Polish

Our artists, whenever they weren’t busy optimizing assets, went all in this week and added new color variations to several armor sets.

You’ll notice new hues for the Amber Warden, Jade Matriarch, Scorpion Warrior, Janissary Apprentice and Silent Vengeance Plate, among others, making loot drops more exciting and diverse.

We’ve also improved lighting and materials across multiple locations like the Grand Bazaar, and Rumeli Fortress, giving the world a more vibrant and immersive atmosphere.

❤️ Thank You for Your Support

We can’t say this enough, your feedback is shaping the game every single week. Every bug report, suggestion, and kind word helps us move forward. As we transition to a slightly slower (but more powerful) update rhythm, we hope you’ll continue sharing your thoughts and ideas with us.

Stay tuned for next week’s hotfix, and after that, some big new updates are on the horizon. Until then, keep exploring, fighting, and building your legend. ⚔️

With love,
The Team
