Harrowed World is taking a bold step into the realm of dice, character sheets, and imagination. Work has officially begun on a tabletop roleplaying game adaptation of the dark gothic setting, tentatively titled Harrowed World Tabletop. While the name may change as development progresses, the project promises to deliver an immersive experience that captures the haunting beauty and deep depths of Harrowed World in a new way.
The upcoming TTRPG will adapt the lore of Harrowed World for pen and paper play, starting with the insidious vampires of the setting. Players will step into the shadows as these immortal predators, navigating ancient power struggles, secret pacts, and blood-soaked intrigue.
But vampires are only the beginning. Over time, Harrowed World Tabletop will expand to include the full array of creatures that populate the world, from magical folk to the mysterious Beholders, humans who possess the rare ability to sense the supernatural. This gradual expansion is designed to keep the world growing and evolving, allowing players to explore every dark corner of Harrowed World.
While vampires will take centre stage initially, interplay between different creature types will be a key part of the experience. Whether through NPC interactions orchestrated by a game master or direct play between player characters of different creature types.
This emphasis on cross-creature dynamics adds layers of storytelling potential, allowing groups to craft campaigns filled with uneasy alliances, supernatural scheming, and moral dilemmas that blur the line between monster and human.
Instead of adopting the widely used d20 system, Harrowed World Tabletop will feature a custom-built system created specifically for this world. The decision serves a dual purpose, avoiding licensing complications while also giving creative freedom to design mechanics that fully embody the dark and disturbing tone of Harrowed World.
While details of the mechanics remain under wraps, the plan is for flexibility and narrative depth to take precedence over crunch heavy gameplay. The goal is to create a system that feels fluid, dangerous, and emotionally charged, where every roll of the dice carries weight.
The project is still in its early stages of development and is not yet playable. The announcement comes earlier than originally planned due to growing community interest and discussions that encouraged pulling back the curtain sooner than expected.
Fans eager to get involved will have a chance to help shape the game’s future, though not right away. Playtesting opportunities are planned for members of the Harrowed World Community Discord server at a later stage of development, once the project reaches a playable state.
Those interested in joining the community and staying up to date with development updates can apply to join the Discord via the official form here.
Harrowed World Tabletop is shaping up to be an ambitious expansion of the setting. By translating the moody, gothic atmosphere of Harrowed World into a living (or perhaps unliving?), breathing roleplaying experience, it invites players not just to witness the world’s stories, but to experience their own tales within it.
For fans of immersive storytelling, supernatural intrigue, and the thrill of rolling dice under candlelight, this may just be the next great saga to unfold around your gaming table.

Darkness falls once again in D.C. The Halloween Event returns on October 21, bringing new challenges, exclusive rewards, and a dangerous new enemy: The Houndsman.
Hunt down Mini Warhounds, earn unique cosmetics, and unlock the new Named Weapon “Quickstep” before the event ends on November 11.
As the city slips deeper into the season’s shadows, you’ll also find sinister Halloween decorations across various settlements, including WONY and Brooklyn, along with a haunting new main menu theme, and chilling music that sets the tone for your patrols through the city.
Throughout the D.C. you’ll encounter Mini Warhounds, scaled-down and modified versions of the familiar robotic hounds. These aren’t armed, but don’t expect them to be easy targets. Mini Warhounds rely on evasive manoeuvres and defensive tricks to escape once they spot you. Some briefly turn invisible, while others move faster, resist your firepower, or leave trails of purple flame in their wake.
Keep in mind that they don’t appear within missions, so if you’re hunting them down, stay out in the open world.
As you take down Mini Warhounds, you’ll earn a Houndsman Bounty, which sends you after a new enemy threat and grants special caches upon completion. There’s no need to complete a bounty before earning the next one, so you can keep hunting Mini Warhounds and build up several bounties before tackling them.
But if you have your eyes on The Houndsman Outfit, don’t take too long. During the first week of the event, October 21 – October 27, Bounties will reward Houndsman Caches, that grant a guaranteed outfit piece with each opening. You’ll receive the Mask first, followed by the Gloves, Backpack, and finally the Uniform and unique Backpack Trophy.
After October 28, Bounties will no longer drop caches containing The Houndsman outfit pieces, except for the Mask, which will remain available in those caches. The complete outfit will move to the in-game store, while Bounties and their caches continue to function as usual.
The rewards depend on when you complete the bounty, not when you receive it. Each bounty automatically scales to your current global difficulty, though rewards remain unchanged across all settings.
Week 1 (Oct 21-27): 1x Houndsman Cache +1x Event Cache
Week 2-3 (Oct 28-Nov11): 1x Halloween 25 Cache + 1x Event Cache
Caches can be held and opened at any time. Their contents won’t change after the event concludes.
The Houndsman Cache (Week 1):
The Houndsman Outfit (Mask, Gloves, Backpack, Uniform)
The Houndsman Hound Backpack Trophy
“Bat” VFX Drone Mod
Quickstep Named Tactical M1911
Halloween Event Cache (Week 2-3):
The Houndsman Mask
“Bat” VFX Drone Mod
Quickstep Named Tactical M1911
Starting October 28, a new Project Chain becomes available for the final two weeks of the event. These projects are independent from The Houndsman activity and feature a series of seven tasks released daily across the first week. Each project unlocks the next one, so you must complete the first in order to progress.
You’ll earn Named Item Caches, Recalibration and Optimization Caches, and Exotic Components along the way, but the real highlights are the Sinister Shade Outfit, which is collected piece by piece as you complete each project, and the final Day 7 reward, the Named Weapon “Quickstep”.
Quickstep
Named Tactical M1911

This bonus does not stack with other movement speed increases.
