We updated the Demo for Simulakros with a bunch of fixes and improvements:

  • Fixed some holes in some maps
  • Fixed a problem where switching Lumen Global Illumination to off during a run would cause the enviroment to appear too dark
  • Fixed Homing Shots skill not targeting enemies after spawning when targeting was active before the spawn
  • Improved environment and lighting in big terminal rooms
  • Fixed some rooms spawning too many enemies
  • Fixed door sometimes not opening after completing a terminal room, preventing progress
  • Improved enemy movement in the environments
  • Added randomization rule that prevents spawning the same terminal room two times in a row across different runs

Hello, everyone! Firstly, thank you to all who have played so far! It's truly been amazing and humbling. 🙇‍♀️

I just wanted to address that there's an Accessibility Menu within the game to accommodate some special needs, including the options to change the in-game text font/size and text-to-speech! To access the menu, use [SHIFT + A] (this is also noted in the Help Menu), and select whichever settings are desired.


Besides the default font, there are two other options: DejaVu Sans and Opendyslexic. This will specifically change the in-game dialogue, name boxes, choice options, and game menu font (in-game menu bar and main menu buttons will remain unaffected; apologies in advance). Due to each font's difference in size, kerning, and spacing, how the text appears in the dialogue box may vary in placement, so please adjust as needed with the Text Size Scaling and Line Spacing Scaling sliders.



There is also a Help Menu that lists game controls, functions, keyboard shortcuts, and other tools!

Added 7 new magic weapons that recharge in the sunlight, darkness, or water (depending on weapon). Party members no longer get killed when pit-fighting in Ch.2, just knocked unconscious. Still planning on expanding the pit-fighting later, but for now at least it's functional. Improved a few other things.

Finally, expanded the badlands maps for Ch.4 to include a coastal town for the pirate faction.




Complete list of changes:

-Expanded scope of Badlands overworld map (Ch.4), updated manuals.
-New scripts that charge magic weapons in sunlight, darkness or water.
-Weapon charges no longer drain on attack unless stated in attack script.
-New magic weapons: Everfrost Sword/Axe, Sunburst Sword/Axe, Stun Mace/Spear, Corrosive Mace.
-If mobile is knocked unconscious in attack script, attack no longer immediately cancels status.
-If "stopCombat" command is called or faction becomes non-hostile in attack script, AI no longer retaliates.
-When player uses ability while moving, character position is now reset to original tile for targeting.
-Fixed Ch.2 pitfighting scripts, party members now get knocked unconscious instead of dying.
-Fixed script bug with splash effect extinguishing fire (when using buckets of water).
-Gave Mantios a Stun Mace in Chapter 3.

Q: When and will the game come to Steam and other platforms?
A: We don't yet know when but yes, it will come to other platforms.

Q: How are we going to get our accounts back or do we create new ones?
A: The old accounts won't be transferred to the new version due to rebalancing and the decrease of the pay to win aspect, meaning everyone will have to create a new account and start from scratch.

Q: Will there be sales for weapons and artifacts in shop?
A: Yes, however we don't know the dates for sales.

Q: Where are promo codes given?
A: Yes, promo codes will be given occasionally. Just like now: PLAYTDP4OB

Q: When the game is officially released, will the accounts be reset and clans deleted?
A: No, all your progress will carry on.

Q: When will the rest of the maps be available?
A: We do not know yet. Maps will be added gradually and our Patreon/Boosty supporters will get to choose which one is next.

Q: When will the beta stop being beta?
A: There is no exact date.
