Player bullet shield intermittently didn't catch bullets

As you know, the project is constantly in development and is evolving daily.
Yesterday, some improvements and edits were made to the project:
The firing system has been refined, specifically, realistic recoil, barrel rise, and its return to approximately the starting point when shooting is complete.
The aiming system has been refined. It now uses the sight camera rather than the reticle texture as before.
The reloading system has been refined. Much is now tied to unloading. If unloaded, reloading is fast; if unloaded, reloading is 10 times slower, and the magazine is dropped to the floor.
A system for changing icons when mounting attachments has been started and partially implemented.

The Steam Festival kicks off today, and we’re celebrating with a refreshed I Am Jesus Christ demo. While we continue building the full game, we took time to polish and significantly expand the demo you played during the last Playtests.
Audio & Dialogue
Gameplay and dialogue audio have been reworked for clarity and impact.
Final mixing is still in progress, but you should already feel a big step up.
Temptation in the Desert - Redesigned
This chapter has been rebuilt from the ground up.
Starts with a cinematic and evolves into dialogue with a manifestation of Satan in a darker tone, interwoven with short mini-games.
It’s one of the standout moments, we highly recommend trying it!
Dialogue Revisions
We refined the writing to better reflect the events described in the Bible and to incorporate your feedback from previous sessions.
Performance & Optimization
Expect higher FPS and smoother traversal across the entire playable area.
Many of you reached places we hadn’t planned for in the demo (like Jerusalem). We listened and optimized those areas as well.
Visuals & Animation
Enhanced character animation and facial expressions for more natural conversations.
Improved environmental effects and overall visual fidelity to deepen immersion.

✦ You can now turn off all the animated text in the configuration screen
✦ You can now delete every save and not just the bottom right save slot
✦ People do NOT levitate randomly any longer
✦ Fixed a bug where the text overflowed the characters’ name box and some choices while the “Jumbo” text size was selected
✦ Added an option (by popular demand) to commit suicide. A previous choice influences whether this becomes available or not. Beware that the game closes after it! Not a bug.
✦ When selecting any option that's not "I won't fail you" during the voice dialogue, you get a new response!
✦ Added a choice that decides whether the Main Character gets mind-controlled by Gael or not. This affects later scenes.
✦ Added a choice to stay with Amon during the woods scene.
✦ Added a choice that determines the nature of Evie’s relationship with the Main Character, from very physically intimate to medium to preferably not physically intimate.
✦ Added a choice that determines which Love Interest visits the Main Character during the night and the morning after.
✦ During the pre-route-selection scene, you can now see the special cards for each Love Interest!

We have made a first update to address some of the issues you have raised:
Vulkan driver required message should now be gone, and you have the option to select DirectX (Windows) or Vulkan (Steamdeck)
Camera system has been improved to avoid it going through the ground while running/sliding
Camera default sensitivity has been lowered to create a more fluid experience by default (but this can be adjusted in options!)
More responsive in-game UI
Polished and improved the level layout
