Register a main character with Special Agent Joe.
You can only register one character per account.

Use the Black Combo Card Special Mission Pass and complete the mission. To enter the mission, right-click "Use" on the pass.
You are able to choose the difficulty level for the mission.
Beginner is about the same as the Hard Shadow Missions.
Normal is about the same as the Elite Shadow Missions.
Advanced is as hard as Tech Duinn Missions.
You can earn a maximum of 90 Black Combo Card Points per day.
You will earn 30 Black Combo Card Points for clearing 1 mission, regardless of difficulty level.
You can enter this mission 5 times a day.
Entering the mission will count towards the limit, regardless if you succeed or fail the mission.
You can complete this mission with a party of up to 4 people.
Our intel recommends entering with a full party of 4 to maximize your chance at success.
When completing this mission, you will receive EXP, Gold, and a Treasure Chest Key depending on the difficulty level.
The treasure chest will grant a random potion, leather/silk/fabric, and Skill Combo Card Fragment of a Talent.
The higher the difficulty of the mission, the more Skill Combo Card Fragments and Skill Combo Card Exchange Coupons you will receive.
Combine 10 Skill Combo Card Fragments of the same Talent to receive a Skill Black Combo Card Exchange Coupon for that talent.
The mission consists of 5 waves of Caravan Joe and his cousins... we think. This intel we've been told is unconfirmed.
Special Agent Joe's Dispatch Commission
After participating in Special Agent Joe's Special Training Mission once for the day, the Dispatch Commission option will become available.
Exchange one Special Agent Joe's Special Training Mission Pass and 300,000 Gold to receive the rewards from Advanced difficulty immediately, and 30 Combo Points (up to the limit of 90 points per day).
The daily Event Mission entry count will be reduced by 1, and cannot exceed the daily mission limit of 5 missions per day.
You will not receive EXP or Gold for completing with a Dispatch Commission.
Incomplete Black Combo Card
By completing Special Agent Joe's Special Training Missions, you can receive 30 Combo points, up to 90 Combo points per day.
Combo points can be used to modify the Incomplete Black Combo Card.
Right-click "Use" on the Incomplete Black Combo Card in your inventory, then click Customize Combo Card.
Select a Slot Number of the Incomplete Black Combo Card and choose to change the skill, or unlock the slot.
**NEW** You can use 90 Combo points and a [Talent] Skill Black Combo Card Exchange Coupon to change one skill of the Incomplete Black Combo Card to a skill of your choice.
You can use 60 Combo points to unlock a new skill on the selected Slot Number.
Note: Slots must be unlocked in order from Slot Number 4 to Slot Number 6.
You can click on Bonus Reset for Slots 2 through 6, and reset the bonus value of the Slot using 30 Combo points.
The Bonus Reset Value is determined by different probabilities within the parameters of each slot:
Slot 2: 0~10%
Slot 3: 0~12%
Slot 4: 0~15%
Slot 5: 0~20%
Slot 6: 0~30%
**NEW** Alternatively, clicking on Fixed Bonus Change will apply a fixed value to your combo card slot with the payment of 90 Combo Points and a small sum of 1,000,000 Gold.
The Fixed Bonus Value is based on the chosen slot:

When you are satisfied with the Black Combo Card, click on Complete Combo Card to receive the Black Combo Card in your Combo Card menu.
Do not complete the card until you are 100% confident that the skills are finalized.
Completing the Combo Card is NOT reversible. Even if you complete the card by mistake, you will be unable to reverse that decision.
Only one Black Combo Card can be completed during the event period.
The Black Combo Card will expire in 30 days, but can be extended or made permanent using the Permanent Combo Card Coupon item.
Once you have completed the card, you can no longer edit it.
Similar to normal Combo Cards, you can customize it using Advancement Badges.

Generation 26 - Winds of Fate - Part 1 has been added.
Players who have completed Generation 25 will automatically receive the quest When Fate Comes Knocking.
Players who have not completed Generation 25, but have reached at least Level 5,000 will receive a window notification that the storyline is available to start if they so choose.
You may start the storyline by clicking the “Start G26 Winds of Fate” button in the Storyline Menu.

The Chat Log now has a dedicated tab for NPC Chat.
All conversations that appear in the NPC Conversation window will appear in the chat log.
Durability Indicator
A new window will appear when the durability of your equipped item is close to breaking.
Above 20%, the indicator will display normally.
At under 20%, the indicator will display Yellow.
At 0% durability, the indicator will display Red.
The indicator will appear when you have any items equipped in your gear tab.
You can disable the indicator in the settings by going to:
Options → Game → Etc. → Hide Durability Alert
Forgetful Potions
All Special Forgetful Potions will be renamed to “Forgetful Potion”.
All Forgetful and Special Forgetful Potions now reset every day at 7:00 AM PDT.
The timer of any Forgetful and Special Forgetful potions currently on cooldown will reset with the upcoming maintenance to accommodate the change.
Inventory Identifier
Improvements to the UI have been made so it can be easier to see which inventory space belongs to a bag.
Hovering over a bag will darken the inventory that the bag belongs to.
Hovering over an item name in the "Inventory Magnifying Glass" will darken the inventory space that item is in.
Erinn Essence

Due to a lot of text changes that needed to be translated for our Chinese audience, Weeks 2 and 3 were rolled into one patch, and then still delayed a bit (it was a LOT of text). But, it has just been launched for everyone! There's too many patch notes to have in full here, so I'll just paste the features and link the rest.
A new Dynamic Keywords system has been implemented! Keywords will now appear in Orange text throughout the game, and when Orange text is present, a Dictionary will appear near your character portrait. You can click on it, or summon it with the Up key. When multiple keywords are present you can navigate left and right between the pages.
Added a tab to the Items section of the Compendium for Special Consumables (ones not available in Shops, such as Event rewards)
Special 'Guarantee' Reroll mechanics are now visible - when spending SP on a roll while having 3 or more unique units, and not hitting any duplicates, the next roll visibly becomes a Power Roll, which guarantees a duplicate.
"Mana Required to Cast" has been renamed Cost Reduction, and now has a visual element shown on the mana bar as a white buffer at the end of the bar, indicating the Unit "always has that mana available"
The Run Modifiers page in the start of run process has been removed - this functionality was already present in the Unlocks screen by enabling and disabling unlocks, and we removed the need for all Run Modifiers to be enabled for challenge climb, so the Run Modifiers screen wasn't serving a strong purpose any more. All of your enabled or disabled Run Modifiers from before the update should still be reflected in the Unlocks page, either being enabled or disabled based on your previous preferences.
The old Quick Start (skip Training Yard) functionality is now a checkbox in the start of run process and can be enabled and disabled at will.
The Quick Start button on the main menu has been replaced with Instant Start, which jumps you immediately to a new run without needing to go through the start of run screens. You can customize how you would like your Instant Start button to operate (character settings, difficulty settings, and whether or not to skip the Training Yard) in the gameplay options.
Added a new gameplay option for Trait Side panel behavior - being able to set it as 'permanently hovered', never collapsing into just the icon.
Run History changes: Modifiers are no longer shown, replaced with just the Difficulty played on. Removed the massive scroll bar with one button for every entry in favor of just the most recent 5 being quickly loadable with a button, and a dropdown that covers all the others. The dropdown will now not load any run histories that are in the incorrect format from before March. The dropdown is date-sorted by most recent.
When viewing Run History from the End of Run screen, it no longer tries to load the run from the saved file (which may still be in the process of saving) and instead loads from a cached version in memory, which will prevent that screen from accidentally loading the wrong run. When viewing from End of Run, you can no longer load other runs (this is only loaded in the Main Menu's version for better performance).

With experimental AMD Support (degraded visual and performance but it's playable)
Our fully ray-traced renderer has been completely redone. The structure has also been tweaked to take into account AMD's limitations and a driver bug, in a way that we can run in a degraded mode while still fully playable. The performance of this new renderer is better overall, but we've taken advantage of that to slightly increase the rendering fidelity. Underwater performance and quality should be significantly better. The new structure also allow the renderer itself to be moddable.
What's changed in the renderer:
Refactored to be modular, adding ability for new modules to add their own hit shaders or to change the default renderer without changing all hit shaders
New algorithm using a single recursion so as to support AMD driver on Windows and allow for simpler hit shaders
Removed old unused buffers and images to improve performance and VRAM usage
Greatly improved underwater visual realism with ray-marched volumetric fog instead of a simple falloff curve
Added a new graphics option for Underwater Volumetric Fog, enabled by default with preset Low+ but disabled for AMD
Added a new graphics option for Underwater Light Rays (extending Underwater Volumetric Fog), enabled with the High and Ultra Quality presets
Tweaked glass refraction so it's a little bit less cumbersome and less prone to visual artifacts
Fixed underwater screens (was not taking the water's tint)
Fixed plasma was not visible underwater
What's degraded on AMD?
Ray-tracing Performance is lower than on NVIDIA (we recommed a RX 7800 or 7900 XT)
FSR2 is less powerfull than DLSS, causing more ghosting and blurryness (will update to FSR3 soon)
Graphics options "Underwater Volumetric Fog" and "Atmospheric Shadows" disabled due to a driver issue

As some of you may know, this game is being worked on by two people; I, Dizzie, and Arachne, my wife. Previously we attempted to collaborate with more people, but long story short, we couldn't afford anything anywhere near full-time because the game just doesn't make that much money. Today, aside from some VA, all responsibilities are split between the two of us.
About three weeks ago, Arachne had a major surgery. Everything should have went well and we were planning on resuming production at a slower pace about a week and a half later, with me taking over some of the more demanding responsibilities as she recovers for the rest of the year. That is no longer happening. She has had multiple complications from the surgery and had to be hospitalized in the ICU two days after being released from the surgery center. We've been bouncing around between different departments and hospitals for about a week now. Long story short, she was very ill and almost died but is now stable and has been released home into my care.
So, yeah, this is a pretty big deal and it changes everything for us. Her health is now the priority. If you've been paying attention, you'll know that in order to deliver content on time, we've been doing crunch constantly for the past 3 years. That can't be happening anymore. She's my priority and I'm going to have to push back all the deadlines since I'll be working much less and by myself in the foreseeable future.
I'm trying my best to make sure we can continue working on the game to some degree because this story is very personal to the both of us and we want to see it through. It's not just a question of delivering the EA promises, we're talking about things that we've lived and that matter to us a lot. It would be very difficult for us to somehow leave these things unsaid. But that's very optimistic! You may expect more depressing announcements in the near future where I set new, less ambitious goals for the project.
In the meantime, I'll be working somewhat part timely on content and still trying to ship the August deadline, but starting from today, all deadlines are fully optional. Some of the content will be missing since Arachne can just not finish it. I'm not sure what the release will look like yet, it's likely to not be the tip top professional affair you guys have been habituated to by our incredible standards, ha ha! But it should be something; it's important to the both of us that we deliver something.
So, that's it guys. Long story short, we're alive but going through some stuff. Game is not cancelled, but game is being probably delayed some significant amount. We'll continue posting updates, we're always on Discord pretty much 24/7, especially now that Arachne is bedridden ːsteamsadː so if you have any questions, go on and ask. Just know that we, as usual, don't like talking about our personal lives that much, so we probably will want to avoid specific gory details about her health and so on. But we can keep you guys in the loop as to what we're doing with our lives, since that's relevant to what you bought.
