Developer Note:
The update for June mostly contains new functional coding (and bugfixes of course!), as well as adding controller controls to a few more screens. What's a good name for this kind of monthly update? idk. There's a new monster, so let's go with that.
The Steam Store assets were completed, including a new Early Access Trailer. I hope all of this gives a much better first impression than the previous artwork. Considering all the work that went into the "Art Redo" I really do hope it is all worth it!
Oh yeah, there's a new monster. It's a bird. As proper "prey" it replaces the Samurai in the "Capture" quest. I colored the monster using the "Sky" color palette; in fact, the Enlistment "Ribbon" uses a feather from this monster.
For this next month, the focus will be to get more play-testers with the hopes of making the game more fun to play. As a developer, there is a one-sided perspective of a game; what I find "fun" may not be what everyone else thinks, plus with more eyes on the game they can find issues that I have either not thought about or just simply missed. The final goal is a better game for everyone!
The "Beeku" Monster
Bugs:
Fix crash when unplugging joystick
Gacha banners scroll properly when using controller
WSurvivor; Reset controls when visiting Shop, fixes moving from carrying over
Changed chat box (online mode) to 'nag_level_and_upgrade' Storybook completion so that it appears for everyone
Ambassador: Fixed "Donate" modal from appearing when selecting an item after donating
Consolidated Login code; should fix some weird "suddenly logged out" issues
Fix force-logout in Online when switching servers
Profile->delete cache: Removes chibi images (please do this once!)
Warbands: Demon King crashed the game instead of fighting. Told him to stop doing that.
Fixed formatting for reset timers
New:
Steam Store Redo Complete! Art, Media, Trailer, and better descriptive text
Development Server: Enabled "Press & Testing" button to skip progression (plz don't use)
Note that having "Press Pass" in inventory causes Quests to refresh with specific type ordering. Other functionality may be affected by "Press Pass" in the future.
Main Hub: Added cursor memory for Controller
Added Controller controls for Marketplace and Warehouse
Added time left until reset for Guild Boss and Guild League
New Monster: Beeku ~chase it~
Functionality added for Battle Passes; gain points from activities, which give tickets at milestones (shop is future dev)
Note that Battle Passes never expire and multiple can be active at the same time (no FOMO!)
Added Settings:
Options->Network: Force IPv4 - use if IPv6 is causing really bad connection issues
Graphics: Animation (simple/full) - "Simple" is biggest FPS performance gain, but only animates keyframes
Graphics: Rendering (low/medium/high) - "Medium" is default; "High" uses rotozoom and smoothscale, but destroys fps. idk what "Low" does yet, I'll figure it out.

This update will complete on June 29, 2025, and includes the following changes:
---
Bug Fixes:
1. Fixed an issue where duplicate values were retained in historical data. These will now be cleaned when entering the world map.
2. Fixed a bug where non-combat choice timeouts prevented time nodes from activating on the world map.
3. Fixed a bug where Oranbato, Caprock, and EternalVortex remained available after time expired.
4. Fixed an issue where Final Ancient Ruins could not be unlocked after progressing past the Great Rift if time had expired.
5. Fixed a UI display issue when obtaining Witnesses.
6. Fixed an issue where a single attribute could be upgraded more than 20 times upon leveling up.
7. Fixed an incorrect suppression effect in Oranbato.
8. Fixed missing icons in Past Presents display.
9. Fixed an issue where Divinia’s HP would drop to 1 after reviving with "Collapse And Overturn".
10. Fixed an issue where People, Barrier Maintainers, and Broken Cadaver would not properly use their powerful attacks.
---
Balance Adjustments:
1. To better reflect character identity, Oplora’s abilities — Shadowy Soul, Furlough, Fracture In Space, Die Of Sorrow, Contractual, and Time Of Death — have been reclassified from Shadow type to Flare type.
2. Die Of Sorrow now deals "1 fixed Flare damage and resets attack state" instead of "1 fixed Shadow damage and resets attack state".
3. Effects described as "XX fixed damage" now ignore all elemental and attribute modifiers, rather than being influenced only by their element.
4. Void Barrier effect reduced: now grants +65 damage reduction until next action (was +100). 5. Increased enemy Attack by 50% and HP by 15% in Caprock and EternalVortex to improve challenge pacing.
---
Quality of Life Improvements:
1. The character info screen now includes damage formulas for all elements for players to reference.
2. During battle, clicking a Memory now displays its expected damage on the left panel. (Note: this does not account for the target’s stats.)
3. Elemental suppression effects are now shown in both the battle info screen and the character’s status bar during combat.
