Hi, everyone. This is another very productive week.

A lot has been done. And there is a lot more to come.
To be utmost efficient, this week's diary will be a quick rundown. Because something great awaits!

First, the other two paths to get intel from the captured Aten Cultist have been finished.
Harold's path can be darker than you realized. It's a mini-quest all by itself.
The seduction path is more light-hearted dark humor.



To make things a bit more dramatic, I actually made a short animation of his nose bleeding. Well, anyway, well done. You get the intel anyway in one of those four paths.

Alright, now we know where their secret base is. The Guide to the Mountains can take you there. But, because it's a secret base. The entrance is hidden. To ensure secrecy, someone specifically left a note here instructing his subordinates to keep it quiet.

See the irony? It's almost like writing down your complex PC password on your desk to remind yourself. Not sure why people keep doing that in real life, Fallout, Resident Evil, and many other games.

Other than that, if you look around, you may find some familiar enemies. Shade creatures from Egypt have been leaking into this place for a while. But your decisions back in Egypt can affect their number, types, and spawn locations. Many actions you took back in Chapter 2 still have a long-lasting impact to this day. To keep things more organized, I added a new page on the game's wiki to list a few of them. Just be aware that there are a lot of spoilers out there.

After we break in, what's next/

It seems when you are chasing their clues all the way from Egypt to the Nise Federation, someone has been quite busy doing some heavy construction. The secret base is going to be like a dungeon with various new enemies. For now, you can already see some brainwashed workers walk around and attack you on the spot unless you hide in a box, Metal Gear style.
Zhang Yin certainly worked on recruitment to refill the cult's ranks after you gave them kingdom come in Egypt.
But if you engage those workers and use the "detect faith" skill on them, you can find something new.

It's not like the old Aten faith in Egypt. Zhang Yin added a few personal touches to change their religion significantly.

In this image, you may have noticed a new tenet.
That's correct.

We now have a new faith tenet for everyone who wants to play a mad scientist.

But, still, you can find something new even on this new tenet.
We now have a medicine life skill!
Because, why not? It's going to be the next big thing after AI. Eventually, all will come to make people healthier, live longer, and make better babies with better genes. Personally, I have successfully used the knowledge provided by AIs to lose 5 kg of weight in the past few months. Now I feel power flow through me. I can push out more updates every day!
Alright, that's a bit exaggerated. The more in-game reason is that I want something to make all those medicine items more useful. I want to give you something to progress in this direction. Thus, this is a huge change this week. Feel free to check the details of Thursday's log. In short, many items have been marked as "medicine items," including those potions you make via alchemy. Your medicine skills can make all those "medicine items" more useful. Each level after level 1 increases HP and MP recovery or damage rate by 1%. Yes, damage. Nobody says a doctor is only capable of healing people. A cure can be a poison with slight changes. Thus, as your knowledge of medicine increases, you also know how to use poisons better. Naturally, you can improve your medicine skills by using medicines. (Feel free to keep dumping those little pills into your body. It's not healthy. But it can farm some medicine XP if you wish.)
Meanwhile, to let everyone know which items are medicines, the game now also displays certain item tags such as: Food/Cooking Ingredient/Alchemy Ingredient/Medicine/Gift.


That's not all. Let's move a step further. As a mad doctor you may want to be, you can now vivisect enemies right in battle. The damage is scaled with your medicine skill. It bypasses all defense. You gain medicine or programming experience based on the target type. Vivisecting biological enemies gives you medicine experience, while vivisecting machines gives you programming experience.
But here is a catch. It only works on helpless targets. That means you need to stun, paralyse, put them to sleep, or do something similar first. Plan ahead. Being a mad doctor is for smart people. :)


Zhang Yin is certainly quite smart. But now he is a supervillain. His old appearance certainly no longer suited him in an epic final confrontation. So, here we are.



The chasing will soon be over.
But think about that, if he didn't do that in Chapter 2. The one who would turn into the Aten High Priest would be your main character. So, things are pretty complicated.

However, the coverage point of this timeline remains the North Peak. The powerful location where a hero once sealed Lucifer in the NEOLITHIC universe. Thus, this week, you may also reach the entrance area of the North Peak. Once again, we crusade into hell for the first time. You can find corrupted creatures and demonic creatures still lingering there. Yetis are affected by curse stones, and Beelzebub sends those annoying mosquitoes to pay some regard. It even has new background music with a retro feeling. Anyway, to our veteran players who followed this game for decades, it's time to continue your epic journey here once again! To our relatively new players, you may find the story they left behind. The first parts of the North Peak do not require the main story. It's accessible for everyone who can go all the way north to reach it. (It means you've found a way to Jiru Island and defused the machine siege of Dana to some degree. That's still not an easy feat. Have fun! :D)

Alright, that's for this week. I will continue pushing the progress of those two locations next week. There will likely be more demonic and Atenist enemies, while in the meantime, the struggle will bring generic updates radiant towards the rest of the world, such as this week's medicine change. This endless story is eternal.

We’ve officially kicked off Round Two of our closed playtest! Everyone who has requested access up to this point should now have access.

This round focuses on testing four pre-made starter decks:

  • Ice Mage – summon ice spirits and control the board

  • Tree Evolution – buff existing trees or evolve them into stronger forms

  • Dragon Riders – attach riders to dragons and overwhelm with fire

  • Zombies – raise the dead without spending mana and rush the enemy castle

CHANGES

  • Skill Training Menu now displays the EP Increase after upgrading a skill for a bigger dopamine hit

  • Updated Cascade's Description to: "For 5 seconds, Abilities gain 1 additional action. (If an ability attacks 6 times, it now attacks 7)"

  • Hovering over Character Cards during dungeons now brings up Adventurer Tool-tips and displays skill exps and stats

  • Can now see Monster stats by hovering over them during combat encounters

  • Added Utility Loadouts to the Workshop's equip upgrade menu for quick Utility item upgrading

FIXES

  • Fixed Skill Training menu upgrading a Skill Level above 999, will now reset your Skill Levels back down to 999 on reload

  • Fixed Cascade not showing a timer in it's tool-tip

  • Fixed Monsters healing your party instead of theirs

For one year we've done so much that it’s hard to fit everything into a single post.
We think it’s better to publish several posts with detailed explanations for each major feature — and even better, to show everything live on stream. So that’s what we’re planning to do next week.

But here’s some brief info on what we’ve been working on:

New economy system - MASTER POINTS added
New weapons - you may check them in the Show room
New textures & updated environments - Practical Shooting scenes reworked.
