Hello exorcists!
We've pushed a hotfix to solve a few issues people have reported and we noticed over the last few days of testing, which we wanted to get out ASAP before everyone digs in over the weekend.
One of those things was a problem with difficulty scaling, where things were far harder than we intended. BUT, if you played the build and you liked that? We hear you, and we've added a new difficulty setting - Hellish - which should be to your liking.
Fixed an issue where difficulty scaling was incorrect on Normal and Difficult settings
Added Hellish difficulty for those who liked the previous broken difficulty
Fixed an issue where pressing Back in the settings menu would default the game to a non-native resolution
Fixed an issue where hitting the backspace key after the opening cinematic would break the game
Fixed Book of Prayer card
Fixed Last Hope card
Fixed Holy Blaze card
Fixed final exorcism's null attack
Toughen no longer appears as a debuff
Fixed an issue where Infernal Rage was not adding its damage modifier correctly
Balanced Levekh of the Cold slightly better
Fixed an issue where Lydia and Gideon would repeat a conversation at one point in the plot
Fixed issue with "Alfie" and "Contemplation" random encounter scenes that would occasionally result in a blank storylet

Hi everyone!
We’ve recently detected some issues when playing with a controller. We’re currently working on a Unity migration that, besides improving the overall performance of the game, will also fix all of this.
For now, we recommend playing with keyboard and mouse.
At the same time, we’ll be releasing a small patch to fix a bug we hadn’t taken into account and that was blocking gameplay. Thanks to Leximancer for reporting it in the community! However, for future issues, please contact us through the support email, since the Steam community doesn’t send notifications.

We have made adjustments to improve the controls for several characters. This should make the game feel more comfortable to play. Here are the details of the update:
Main Changes (Character Adjustments)
Earwig: Can now jump again in mid-air. (Double Jump)
Gummy: Can now perform a wall jump.
Fly: Changed the jump specification from "swivel" to "accelerate." This improves the feel of controlling the jump.
Other Improvements and Fixes
Adjusted the in-game audio balance.
Fixed several other minor bugs.

**Stalkers!**
Halloween has arrived in the Zone!
The event will run from **October 24 to November 7, 2025**.
During the event, hunt down **special Halloween demons and seers**, collect **pumpkins**, and exchange them for **holiday cases** at **NPC “Uncle Jack”**.
You can find Uncle Jack at the **Radio Tower** on the **Vesuvius** location.
Important: **Pumpkins dropped by event mobs are tradable** — share them with friends or use them for profitable exchanges!
In addition, the **“Special Goods Trader”** NPC now offers **cases containing parts of the “Cerberus” set**, and new cases will be added within hours to our **website** — including **Uncle Jack’s case**, and separate cases with **PKP “Pecheneg”**, **FN2000**, **M110**, and **Cerberus set parts**.
Please note: **Cases on the website and in the game are not quite the same in content.**

Relatively minor patch. New grave robber rep for digging up graves, starting locked stories now turns on the cheater flag to make achievements harder, improved some dialogue and maps, plus some other small fixes.
Also, each use of your fishing rod now gives you up to 3 opportunities to catch fish (random), so you can catch up to 3 fish in one hour.
Just a couple more patches before I'll start on Chapter 6. Next week I will have a new Halloween map in Holiday Havoc for Patrons. Big thanks to everyone still giving me cheese on the Patreon.
