We’re happy to share that our team will be attending SGC this year. While we’ll primarily be there for our other title, we’re really looking forward to meeting players and fans of Anchor’s Lament as well. If you’re attending, please feel free to stop by and say hello — we’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences with the game so far.
We also want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who played the Anchor’s Lament demo during Next Fest. Seeing your reactions and feedback has meant a lot to us, and it’s been incredibly motivating as we continue working toward the full release.
There’s more content on the way before launch, and we can’t wait to share what’s next. In the meantime, you can join our Discord — linked on the game’s Steam page — to stay up to date with news and updates, or just chat with us and other players.
Thank you again for your support. It really means the world to our small team.

Further improvements:

Bugfix:
fixed issue with settlement border calculation on higher progression levels
fixed issues with old savegames on the first map since our last update
Open your Steam Library
Right-click on Fata Deum → Properties
Go to the Betas tab
Select Open - Beta from the dropdown menu
Close the window – Steam will now automatically download the Beta version
We will extend this feature over the next weeks to also allow to summon orbs of earth and wind and to add additional possibilities to interact with them and create even greater wonders. Stay tuned!
While this is just a first step, it is one of the bigger features we want to add and extend to push this game more and more in the god game direction (as many of you currently see to much RTS and not enough god game in Fata Deum).
Thanks for your input! We will continue listening to your feedback!
Added barber functionality to major towns in the game. You can find barber NPCs in market areas and interact with them to edit the hairstyle and appearance options of selected characters.
Added a new quest related to "Disguise Potions." Completing this quest will unlock the disguise potion recipe, which allows complete re-editing of a character's appearance.
Added a series of "Gladiator" career storyline quests. Players can now register as a "Free Gladiator" at the Blackthorn Arena, showcase their skills in the arena, gradually become arena champions, and unlock various gladiator-exclusive rewards. Additionally, we have redesigned the gladiatorial combat mechanics to accommodate our new "Gladiator Career" gameplay.
Added a mechanism to unlock special shop items based on reputation/favor. This mechanism has been applied to merchants from the White Steed Knights, Green Leaf Guild, Wild Mage Mutual Aid Society, Mercenary Guild, and Arena Alliance.
After completing the "Shadow Hero Mystery" quest, a martial arts arena will now open in Bamboo Creek Valley, where players can obtain the Spirit Snake Palm technique manual through its ultimate challenge.
Added a new helmet to the Timekeeper armor set.
Added a new legendary weapon: Evil Slayer, which can be obtained with a chance from ultimate treasure chests in high-level dungeons.

Please note: During this period, we have conducted very complex and comprehensive optimization improvements, many of which involve lower-level code and resource loading logic. Therefore, this update may have more instability factors compared to previous versions.

We've noticed some physics inconsistencies in Tatiana's minigame, Kotoba Kyuugi, and are looking to fix this soon.
We've noted that some bottles can get stuck in the path of play in Otogawa's minigame, Okkake no Osakenori, and are looking to fix this soon.

We may be able to prepare a Nintendo Switch-specific option that improves graphics for those playing on Nintendo Switch 2. ✅ UPDATE: This is done and waiting to be released later this month!
There are some users still experiencing issues with widescreen play, for example with selectable resolutions not appearing in the dropdown option. Although we were planning to revisit this issue in September, we ended up not having the bandwidth to do so due to the recent launch of the port on Nintendo Switch. We apologize for the inconvenience and plan on looking into this in October. ✅ UPDATE: This is done and is confirmed to work on every ultrawide monitor! Applying this fix to the Demo version will happen later this week.
