Overlewd - Meletric


Hello, Overlords!

Kreyton the Ogre and her companions have arrived to Overlewd as part of our collaboration with Cloud Meadow! Prepare to embrace these talented girls in your kingdom!

This special event will be available simultaneously with main and weekly events and will be there for 2 months. Please keep in mind, that in order to gain access to the events, you have to build Aerostat, in case you don't already have it.

Our first special event includes:
  • Introduction of Kreyton as a new guest matriarch with spicy memory scenes (one right away, and a second will be added soon)
  • New story, maps, quests, and dialogues
  • Cloud Meadow-inspired skins to enhance your gaming experience
  • A new enemy and an epic boss encounter
  • Exclusive offers during the event

Aside from the new event, this update features some important changes:
  • All skins have become obtainable and can be bought on the skins screen or in the in-game shop.
  • Ulvi's victory animation has been reworked.
  • Girls description and girls' abilities description is fixed.
  • All girls are now centered on the character screen.
  • Armor for tanks is now farmable.
  • Consumables screen design has been reworked.

Hey folks!

Got a few small bug fixes plus an important one. Turns out the 1000 death achievement wasn't working! Well it is now, thanks for letting us know Alex!

Also, you'll see the level select menu has a new (current not playable) challenges menu, which is where we'll keep all of our future challenge content. These will be shorter than the standard map, and will be focused around a mechanic or idea.

We've got two challenges nearly ready, with 3 difficulties each, but they're not quite ripe, so they're not part of this update. We'll let you know soon when they're released!

The presentation of the game has been completely changed with the final product in mind.
We've simplified the mechanics a bit so as not to overwhelm the player, but it's not something we've thrown out, it's just that they're not in the demo now!

New UI art includes more use of ribbons. It also keeps the borders less distruptive.


== Gameplay ==
Load'N Save system enables saving your progress and continue later. Works in Playtest scene.

New labor system makes an equal distribution of laborers more rewarding. Labor is now calculated based on two parameters, base labor and labor boost. Lower tier citizens, slaves, peasants and apprentices, has only base labor, while higher tier citizens has both, base labor and a labor boost. Labor boost is multiplied with the total base labor in the town and added to the final labor.

Salt resource is now among the already discovered resources.

Changes in the UI and labor system requires reworking the tutorials. So Tutorials are disabled for the being.


== Fixes ==
Target FPS is set to 60. This is done to avoid GPU overdrive in the main menu.
