New Zone

Malediction

This new expansion also introduces a brand-new skill set for the first time ever in ArcheAge! Malediction allows players to use powerful dark magic to exploit their enemies’ weaknesses while empowering themselves. The 11th skillset for ArcheAge, Malediction adds 45 new class combinations for players to experience.

Brilliant Hiram Guardian Gear

This massive update also introduces a new tier of Hiram gear for players to awaken. Complete daily quests in the Western Hiram Mountains to earn fantastic new Brilliant Hiram Guardian Gear! This tier of equipment sits between Ayanad and Erenor in terms of power.

New Tempering System
The new tempering system allows the stats of armor and weapons to be improved to a maximum of +30 Tempering Points, which is equivalent to 125%.

The new Solar and Lunar Tempers can be obtained from Prince’s Crates, Queen’s Crates and Ancestral Crates, as well as from mining the Mysterious Minerals that spawn in the Western Hiram Mountains.

This massive update is just the beginning of some fantastic things to come to the world of Erenor!

Update 5 - 3:20 PM PST (10:20 PM UTC) - Hey folks, we're doing another restart of the EU servers so we can move to our very last steps. Please bear with us a bit longer.

Update 4 - 12:45 PM PST (7:45 PM UTC) - The patch is being rolled out now but it will take longer than normal due to the previously resolved issue. Still no set ETA for coming back online though we are on one of the last steps of the rollout.

Update 3 - 10:45 AM PST (5:45 PM UTC) - We believe the primary issue has been addressed and are working to confirm that is the case. No set ETA for when we'll be back online just yet, but we're making very good progress.

Update 2 - 9AM PST (4PM UTC) - We've run into issues with the EU update that will require additional investigation. Downtime is being extended indefinitely. We'll post an update on our progress in 2 hours.

Update 1 - Due to the number of auctions that needed to be expired, our downtime has been extended by an extra hour. Total downtime is now expected to be 5 hours.

We apologize for the drastically reduced posting of our blogs and on our forums over the last two weeks. We needed to be certain that we have a clear path forward and had to resist the temptation of posting half-formed information. We’re at a better spot now and have answers to share with you.

You’ve probably read the Message from Jake Song and know that stabilizing the live service is our immediate focus. The team continues to transfer all previous game functions provided by Trion Worlds to the Gamigo infrastructure. The core ArcheAge production team remains in place under Gamigo including Khrolan, Socke, Applegod, Tinen, and even Clownie.

The Relics of Hiram, 5.0 Update will be delivered to the Public Test Server today, November 2nd, and will be available for play at 4pm PDT. It’ll remain on PTS for 11 days, becoming available for live servers on November 13th, 2018, updating first in Europe and then in North America. Patch notes will be posted on the PTS forums when the 5.0 build is initially accessible. Regretfully, the Halloween event some players were looking forward to was part of the pre-5.0 build and that means it won’t be available for play this year.

We know there are concerns about customer support tickets that were opened during the last two weeks. Knowledge is being transferred to the new Customer Service team and we will begin providing 1:1 support as soon as we can. The Community Management team at Gamigo will be joining us on the forums and our new English, French, and German speaking moderators will introduce themselves!

The team is planning to deliver a new variation of the Homecoming Warrior Package to all accounts at the release of the 5.0 update. The other 3 compensation packages intended to be delivered as a result of the recent Legacy Server Evolutions will also be granted after the update occurs on November 13th. A full list of contents for each pack can be found in the PTS update notes.

We know the last couple weeks haven’t been easy but we’re hopeful that we can put a new foot forward, starting with the release of Relics of Hiram content. Thanks for reading.

Update 5 - 3:25 PT / 10:25 PM UTC - We're back online, folks. Thanks for your patience. We're continuing to go through crash logs and are working to eliminate the root cause of these crashes but it may take a bit more time.

Update 4 - 2:10 PM PDT (9:10 PM UTC) - Looks like North American servers have crashed again. The team is investigating now and hope to have a resolution ASAP.

Update 3 - 12:05 PM PDT (7:05 PM UTC) - Several servers had crashed, but after a restart, we have validated and opened them back up to players. Thanks for your patience.

Update 2 - 10:30 AM PDT (5:30 PM UTC) - There appear to be issues bringing some zones back online after the restart. We're digging into this now so please bear with us.

WHEN

On October 17, 2018, servers will come down for 24 hours:
North America: 12:00 Noon PDT
Europe: 14:00 UTC (07:00 PDT)
Important: Land placement will be locked until Saturday, October 20th – time is currently slated for 12:00 (noon) for each region.

The 5.0 Update will take place after the evolution, tentatively scheduled for October 23rd (EU) and October 24th (NA). Please watch for updates as we get closer to the dates!

The new server names are not set yet, but we know what’s going where!

AUCTION HOUSES
The Auction Houses will not be changing, with Merged Servers sharing an Auction House for each region as usual, and Fresh Start remaining separate.
New auction postings will be blocked for 50 hours prior to the time of the merge.
