Recently, we faced something every storyteller secretly fears.
Miro froze - and with it, a large part of the chapter simply vanished. Everything: branches, dialogues, scenes, transitions. Hours of work just dissolved, as if they had never existed.

Since the chapter was complex and branching, recovery turned into a quest of its own. For a week, we pieced it back together from notes, drafts, and memory - restoring lines, scenes, and the fragile logic between them. Sometimes it felt like we were trying to remember what a character should have said in the exact spot where now there was only silence.

Now the chapter is back on track. We’re bringing the text to order, checking links and pacing.

By the way, a question to fellow storytellers: have you ever used a truly reliable tool for narrative mapping? Not just Miro or FigJam (and definitely not plain text files), but something that lets you visualize branches, choices, and events - to see the entire structure as one whole.

If you have a dependable tool or workflow - share it with us. After this experience, we’ve learned how fragile stories can be, and how important it is not only to write them… but to preserve them.

Fishing Shop Simulator - Sinqnew

Hi everybody! This is another small patch that I did over next fest, gathering feedback and info as people joined the discord. There is no major balance changes here, only small stuff - I'm not in content creation mode this week to keep the game stable and do lots of minor fixes from lots of folks playing the demo.

  • Feature - Added a new option 'Time of day amount' You can now set how many seconds it takes before the time moves to the next hour! Default game is 30 seconds

  • Feature - Interaction Icon - More objects now have the interaction icon show up to interact with E

  • Content - Fast Travel Terminal added to Parliament

  • Quality of life - Warning Message for end of day. You now get warnings when its 2 and 1 hour left before the day ends

  • Balance - Distance for casting - Increased by 20%, likely will be reduced when you can buy fishing rod upgrades in the future

  • Balance - Fishing Rod Power Bar - Reduced the speed at which it bounces around

  • Balance - Removed collider on the door bar on shop level 3 and beyond - Easier to just move in/out of your shop

  • Balance - Shanty Customers buying amount is increased to 2000$, the reason is there is no level 3 customers yet, so they'll now be able to buy any fish you catch for now

  • Bug Fix - Cozy Stats names were displaying some names in lower case, and others in all capitals. Fixed now all stats display with capitals.

  • Bug Fix - The title dropper when entering biomes would keep animating if the game was paused, and went overtop the pause menu, fixed now!

  • Bug Fix - Ocean fast travel point was inconvient and far away, moved to be closer to ocean ATM machine

  • Bug Fix - Fast Travel Unlocking - Fast travel system needed to be overhauled for long term, you will need to re-unlock the fast travel spots, apologies! Biomes still remain unlocked from your saves, so don't worry about that part.
