Two free new apps — the Steam Link app and the Steam Video app — are preparing for launch in the coming weeks, both designed to extend Steam’s suite of services and accessibility.

The Steam Link app, slated to launch the week of May 21st, allows gamers to experience their Steam library of games on their Android (phone, tablet, TV) and iOS-based (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV) devices while connected via 5Ghz network or wired Ethernet to a host system (Mac or PC), with Android access initially offered in beta. The Steam Link App will feature support for the Steam Controller, MFI controllers, and more across both platforms.

Later this summer, the Steam Video app is targeted for release, allowing users to enjoy the thousands of movies and shows available on Steam directly via their Android and iOS devices over Wi-Fi or LTE. In direct response to customer feedback, it will offer the ability to enjoy content in offline and streaming modes.

Jan 1, 2017 - Steam's top 100 grossing titles of 2016 have been revealed http://store.steampowered.com/sale/2016_top_sellers/.


The list is based on total revenues during the calendar year, and comes on the final day of the annual Steam Winter Sale.

Specific revenue is not disclosed, but the leading sellers are broken into the following four categories to give an idea of how they placed:
- Platinum: The first thru 12th best seller
- Gold: 13th - 24th best seller
- Silver: 25th - 40th top seller
- Bronze: 41st - 100th top seller

Mad Max - Valve
High definition digital versions of all four of the movies in the cult classic “Mad Max” series, as well as the new Mad Max video game in the series are available for sale now via electronic sell-through (EST) from Steam, it was announced today by the entertainment platform that allows users to play, connect, create and more.

The “Mad Max” video game from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developed by Avalanche Studios makes its debut today and features open-world, third person action set in a post-apocalyptic setting.

Introducing an original story set within the universe of the “Mad Max” films, the game's launch on Steam is accompanied by the digital availability of all four films in the Mad Max Antholology; “Mad Max,” “The Road Warrior,” “Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome,” and the recently released “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

The game and films will be offered in a variety of packages and price points to Steam gamers in the US, Canada, Russia, Brazil, South Korea and much of Europe.
