After announcing Dementium II HD last August then going silent, publisher Digital Tribe has revealed that the horror remake by Memetic Games will launch on December 17.

Nintendo's Wii U console has failed to light the world ablaze, resulting in lowered projections for previous financial periods. The latest fiscal numbers from the company show some progress for the tablet-based console, but it continues to struggle.

Nintendo 2DS caused quite a stir when it was first unveiled. Nintendo's budget entry into the 3DS family drops 3D support and the clamshell design. While it may look odd, it actually feels quite nice. Nintendo of America plans on targeting a younger market with the handheld, but Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata admits that the system has yet to take off. "We are yet to create sufficient awareness among prospective purchasers of this new product," he said. "It appears that there are some among those who saw the picture on our official website that mistakenly believe that the product is perhaps too large and heavy to carry."

Add one more to the PlayStation 4 launch day lineup. Sony Online Entertainment has confirmed that DC Universe Online will be available on day one: November 15th.

Ubisoft has announced they will phase out its online pass program, starting with Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. The game's Uplay Passport will be free to download on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, opening up the game's online features to everyone that plays the game.
