Hello MudRunners!

With this small update, we're excited to introduce crossplay between Steam and the Epic Games Store.

If you’re playing on Steam and want to play MudRunner with players on the Epic Games Store (EGS), you'll need to have an EGS account.
When joining the multiplayer menu, you’ll be asked if you want to enable crossplay.
If you don’t accept, you can only play with other Steam players that haven’t enabled crossplay.
If you accept, a web page will open in your browser asking you to log in to (or create) an EGS account.

To play MudRunner with friends from the Epic Game Store, you'll need to link your EGS account and Steam account.

How to find my friends from the Epic Games Store:

First, you must link your Steam and Epic Games account. Please follow these instructions.

Once you've linked your accounts, a permission box will appear in your internet browser the next time you launch MudRunner on Steam.

Finally, to find your Epic Friends on Steam, you need to allow this permission:

Now, after creating a lobby, you will find your EGS friends in the friends list.

This update also fixes an issue with mods on Steam where mods created after June 2020 were not working in multiplayer.

We hope you enjoy playing with your friends across both Steam and the EGS!

In case you encounter major issues with this update, you can revert to the previous build.
To do this, go to your library, right-click on MudRunner > Properties > BETAS > Select “vers_11_05_19”

Roll out, MudRunners!

Hello MudRunners!

We just put out a small update for MudRunner on PC, with a new addon for the GMC DW950 and some bug fixes. Here are the patch notes:

  • Fixed a sound-related crash
  • GMC DW950 now has its own unique cistern addon
  • 2 new vehicle parameters exposed via XML for modders, both in "Motor" section:
  • EngineResponsiveness (defaults to 0.04), controls how fast the vehicle accelerates in response to user input.
  • ClutchDelay (defaults to 0.1), idle engine time after changing gears in automatic gearbox mode.
  • Random addons don't spawn for vehicles in proving grounds
  • "RELOAD" in proving grounds now updates textures the same way as "UPDATE"
  • Minor legacy camera position fixes

We know you're all eager for some news on the sequel, and trust us when we say we're eager to share some! Hold on tight, it's on the way. 🙂

Have a good one!

Hello MudRunners!

Rev-up your nostalgia with MudRunner: Old-timers, the latest free DLC pack for the world’s ultimate off-road experience. This is Mudrunner’s third free DLC, and we can’t wait for you all to get your wheels dirty with a new map, new vehicles, and brand new add-ons!

Old-timers releases today for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch players everywhere. Two vintage vehicles, one with two unique new add-ons, combine with the new Rocky Hills map to give you new reasons to jump back into MudRunner.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiSmLXl97Oc

Included is the Chevrolet NAPCO 3100, a 1957 model by General Motors with minor modern updates to make it able to handle MudRunner’s treacherous fields. Compatible with a number of existing add-ons, it also brings two new ones: a loaded log cart and a scout trailer that are both exclusive to the new Rocky Hills map.

Also in this update is the GMC DW950, a short-hooded truck from the ‘50s designed for logging expeditions. It works with a number of add-ons from the base game and American Wilds expansion. Though both of these trucks originate from the US and are officially licensed, the Old-timers DLC will not require the American Wilds expansion to install.

The US-based Rocky Hills is a more challenging than normal map, giving all you MudRunner veterans out there a new height to aim for in a new style of gameplay - this map has no garage and an off-road climbing puzzle is the main feature.

We’re delighted to bring you all more content and additions to the game, free of charge, as we build up to the release of MudRunner 2 in the coming year. More news and information about MudRunner 2 will be revealed soon, so stay tuned.

MudRunner and MudRunner: American Wilds are available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The Old-timers DLC pack is also available for free today.

Old-Timers is a DLC coming out April 30th on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Switch. We're excited to present one of its new vehicles - the Chevrolet Napco 3100! Old-Timers includes a brand new map, the Rocky Hills, and two new vehicles.

Vehicle Description:
The Chevrolet Napco 3100 is the little truck that could. Take care of it and it will serve you for life, and maybe your children's, too. Go on and take it out for some rock crawling in the new Rocky Hills map!

Game Stats:
For a scout vehicle, the Chevy Napco 3100 is a tank, with its 350 points of damage. The 80 liter tank serves well for all the thirsty work this one will do.

Strengths:
Lifted suspensions and a sturdy frame makes it great for maneuvering rocky terrain, and although other vehicles have access to it, the ability to transport both garage and repair points with the new attachment is a big bonus.

Weaknesses:
Not many. Maybe dragons.

Attachments:
  • Bumper - Cosmetic
  • Garage Parts - Carries 80L of Fuel and 1 garage point
  • Light Bar - Cosmetic
  • Repair Supplies - Carries 80L of Fuel and 150 repair points
  • Scout Trailer - Carries 80 repair point and 1 garage point
  • Spare Wheel - Carries 60 Repair Points

Old-Timers is a DLC coming out on April 30th, and we're excited to present one of its new vehicles - the GMC DW950! Old-Timers includes a brand new map, the Rocky Hills, and two new vehicles.

Vehicle Description:
If you need versatility and utility, the GMC DW950 should be near the top of your list. With the ability to attach a long list of various trailers, this veteran hauler is most at home on the road, unlike its sibling truck, the Western Star 6900XD.

Game Stats:
With 600 points of damage, The GMC DW950 knows how to take a hit and keep going. The 330L fuel capacity lets it keep going well into the sunset without a break.

Strengths:
Due to its armory of attachments and sturdy build, the GMC DW950 will have a solution to most of your problems, as long as it can keep its wheels on a solid road.

Weaknesses:
Although the GMC DW950 is a king on the road, off-road is outside its area of expertise.

Attachments:
  • Fuel Semi-Trailer - Contains 3700 liters of Fuel
  • Fuel Trailer - Contains 1600 liters of Fuel
  • Garage Parts - Contains 2 Garage Points
  • Garage Semi-Trailer - Contains 4 Garage Points

MudRunners, get ready to fire up your engines, because the Old-Timers DLC arrives on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch on April 30!

We’re delighted to announce this third free DLC for MudRunner. Explore the wild new map, the Rocky Hills behind the wheel of two new vehicles from the 1950s – the Chevrolet Napco 3100 (1957), and the GMC DW950 (1952-1954).

These grizzled old veterans can’t wait to show you what they’re made of. And who said you can’t teach old dogs new tricks? As a scout vehicle, the Chevy Napco 3100 brings two brand new attachments: the loaded cart log (exclusive to the Rocky Hills Map), and the scout trailer.

And if you're looking for versatility, look no further than the GMC DW950. The king of attachments, the GMC is able to equip a ton of different attachments to suit your needs.

Keep in mind that the Old-Timers DLC does not require the American Wilds expansion, but if you do have American Wilds, don’t forget to try the attachments from that on the new Old-Timers vehicles!

The Rocky Hills map continues to take inspiration from the American Wilderness, providing a beautifully raw region of rocks and pine where pickup trucks are truly in their element.

We'd also like to give you guys a quick update on MudRunner 2. A week ago, we showed the game off to journalists at our yearly event What's Next, and it was a real pleasure to see your reactions to our pictures from the presentations (https://twitter.com/PlayMudRunner/status/1116317472657825792). There should be more news from journalists in the coming days and weeks, so hold on to your hats!

Thank you, and keep on truckin'.

Hello Mudrunners,

It’s been two weeks since we opened the community survey to get to know you all a little better! We didn’t expect such a huge amount of responses, so we’re really thankful for your continuous support and feedback. As was said previously, the survey closes today.

We’d like to take this opportunity to share some interesting results with you. Here they come!

Community’s favorite map goes to… Downhill!

With your special landform, the community enjoys the challenging aspects you provide! Kudos Downhill!

Community’s favorite challenge goes to… Climb a hill!

Finding a rideable path among rocks is not easy. Climbing it can be even harder! You need to control your wheels expertly while observing the environment! And of course, don’t forget to pay attention to your logs! Bravo to those who overcame the obstacles, and congratulations to Climb a hill! You deserve this prize!

Next, let’s discuss some other interesting results.

According to the responses we’ve received over the past two weeks, we got some interesting statistics! Here you go!

Most of you have:
  • unlocked 60% of the trophies,
  • completed 6 Normal maps, including 4 with 1 star,
  • completed 5 Hardcore maps, including 3 with 1 star,
  • completed 6 challenges, including 5 with 100% objective bonus!
We have to say it - you guys rock!

Finally, we’ve also got some informative results here!

Most of you play:
  • on PC,
  • over 25 hours,
  • normal and harcore game modes, and
  • other driving simulator and race games.
What do you think of community’s favorite map and challenge? Was it expected, or a complete surprise? Let us know in the replies!

Please keep in mind that the purpose of this survey wasn't related to Mudrunner 2 features, but rather to know all of you a little better, for the benefit of the overall MudRunner experience, franchise, and future!

See you in April as we preview MudRunner 2 to the press in Focus Home’s yearly press event “What’s Next”. Stay tuned!
