G-Ball - Antara
Small update!
This is sometimes even better than big updates!

- Fixed a few issues on the Mars Landscape level where some jacks would not sync correctly.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Chariot Rover to vanish.
- The Chariot Rover will self-charge it's battery (in the same way as the buggy). Except the Chariot also needs to be dusted off.

- Asteroid fixes in the Mars & Saturn Orbit levels. You can now destroy asteroids and collect the pieces.
- You can now left click to target an asteroid.
- Fixed an issue that would cause debris and asteroids to not spawn (in some cases).

- Loaded habs will now properly be recognized by the blueprint menu.
- Rex saves and loads properly.
- You now spawn in the Mars Lander in the Tyrrhena Terra map.

- All ground buildings should save and load correctly (e.g., Engineering Garage).
- Fixed a typo in the Europa description.
Devs usually play at 4pm CST! Come and join us!

Hello everyone!

We’d like to take a moment to talk about how things have gone so far and our plans for the future, including our continuing efforts to improve our games.

First off, we’d like to thank you for your patience, feedback, and continuing support as we develop G-Ball. We have been in the process of developing the indie game Starlite: Astronaut Academy, made in conjunction with NASA, which is a multiplayer game that explores survival on Mars and other planets as the game expands.

G-Ball is a “milk-run” in the Starlite series of games. That means we wanted to discover problems and turn them into valuable advances, such as your ideas on the control scheme, and AI, all of which have been useful while developing Starlite: Astronaut Academy.

Our largest news is that we will begin closed Alpha testing of Starlite: Astronaut Academy in the coming weeks. We have been working hard to present to you, our fans, a sophisticated version of life on Mars. A closed alpha means you should sign up!

We are excited to see what you think of the novel game. In addition, we are discussing options for Early Access and Steam release. Starlite has been our main project since the release of G-Ball, and has required our full attention.

However, plans are in the works to improve G-Ball.

Here are the highlights:
  • An improved G-Ball control scheme is on the near horizon.
  • All G-Ball updates on STEAM will be free.
  • We will mail G-Ball players an equivalent discount code for Starlite: Astronaut Academy as our way of thanking you for playing along with us.
  • The often requested bots (AI) for G-Ball are needed and the tech is being investigated but most likely will not be in the first patch.
  • Starlite: Astronaut Academy is going to be loud over the next few months. Watch and see.
  • Regrettably, we will not be officially supporting Linux, because we cannot guarantee Linux functionality for the Starlite series.
We have been fortunate to receive support from CMF, NASA and the University of California Irvine, who in turn brought the Bill and Melinda Gates and MacArthur Foundations to back our efforts in making the scientific achievements meaningful while you play the game. In addition, we were fortunate to receive assistance from you, our fans, during our Kickstarter campaign.

There are more updates to come.

As always we welcome your constant communication!
