We have updated the public release of Half-Life: Source. This update contains all the changes from the recent beta, thanks to the whole community for their help with testing and suggesting new features.

Changes in this update are:
  • Fixed crash when fighting the Apache helicopter
  • Added in drowning sound effects when drowning
  • Fixed glock to have 17 bullets per clip to match the original Half-Life
  • Fixed missing HEV suit when starting on Unforeseen Consequences and Residue Processing

  • Added support for Linux and Mac OS X operating systems

  • Added ability to run with the Half-Life 1 HD content pack. Go to the video options dialog and select "Load HD content if available" to enable this option. This HD content pack was adapted from the original Half-Life version by A. [Stone] Denisov.
  • Fixed skyboxes not showing correctly on Xen
  • Fixed muzzle flash from gunfire not showing
  • Fixed Nihilanth being very hard to kill
  • Fixed Alien Grunt armor not being taken into account during fights
  • Fixed Apache health amount to match Half-Life 1
  • Fixed map logic bug in c1a3 controlling the 2 sentry guns
  • Fixed flashlight rendering incorrectly when shone onto chrome object

Note - if you have a problem launching the current public release of Half-Life: Source then please opt into this beta
