## Fixes

- Fixed matchmaking rating calculation formula. Before it only gave a certain set of values, now it should be a continuous range.

Welcome... to the new era of Project Zero Deaths!

Well, grand spectacle aside, this update is quite large, both in features and in general mindset of the game.

The update features 3 major things:

## Technology tree rework

In previous versions of PZD technologies (upgrades) were just that - upgrades. You unlock them, you get stronger. Which meant that we had to somehow segment players and level 1 and level 1000 could not play together because the level 1000 was obviously stronger.

This has been totally changed in this update.

Now you unlock technologies to customize your characters/weapons, instead of making them stronger. Which:

1) makes the game much more interesting as you can have different builds of weapons/heroes.
2) allows everyone to play together, as there is no such thing as players being stronger due to upgrades. Which means fewer bots in the matches.
3) Eliminates pay to win aspect.

The old upgrades that you have purchased will be fully refunded in tokens and gold.

## Chests rework

The refresh system with the timer is gone. Now it is simply you, your keys and whatever chest you want to purchase.

We have also changed chests to be less random. Now you can clearly purchase what you want: weapons, starter weapons, characters, boosters or skin tokens.

## New hero: Succubus

We added a new hero that everyone gets at level 2. Succubus is an assassin hero who can instantly teleport to an enemy with < 50% of health left and backstab him/her for 30 melee damage.



## Other changes

* New rank animation and icons after the match.
* Matchmaking was improved to minimize the number of bots in matches.
* Tons of balance changes.
* Party level limited is now gone.
* Bugfixes. And probably some extra bugs, with all these changes :))


New leaderboards with rank icons.


New hero talents. You can only pick one from a column.


The same is for weapons.


And you can make your weapons quite crazy. ;)

* Mouse aiming is now not limited near your character and you can freely move your crosshair around the screen. We did not implement the screen limits yet though (it takes some time and we wanted to get this update out to you as soon as possible), so it is possible to move your crosshair out of your screen. Will fix it in the next update though!
* You now get different amount of score per kill in Team Deathmatch depending on whether it is 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4.
* Hint that shift is the button for dropping weapon when you stand on it with a non-default weapon equipped.
* Laser handgun: replaced extra projectiles technology with 300% headshot damage.
* Homing Rocket Handgun: decreased rocket speed.
* Ice Shard Handgun: increased reload time.

- New Inbox menu for unclaimed mission rewards.
- Fixed a bug where sometimes you would not get rewards after bombing run match.
- Mini Laser - fixed permanent stun, multiple lasers hitting the same target do not increase damage anymore.
- Fixed explosion forces. Sometimes you were thrown away VERY strongly, even resulting in being thrown out from the map.
