We did it, Agents! 🎉 The ZC-07 Security Turret, aka “Bear Archer” plush was successfully funded. We couldn’t have done it without you. No really — in all seriousness.

Our associates at Makeship have started production, and all secret operatives who ordered their very own cute-but-deadly bear plush can expect shipping to commence on or around Friday, December 15, 2023.

💥 That being said, we’re excited to formally kick off this special Handler debrief:


Just last week the Handlers embedded at Schell Games received time-sensitive intel about ZC-07 Security Turret — more commonly known as, “Bear Archer” or “Crossbow Bear” in the field. The untimely demise of multiple Agents in the I Expect You To Die universe was caused by Bear Archer and its use of infrared security cameras to hone in on its target. Truly unfortunate.

However, we have developed something that might come in handy on future missions…

In partnership with Makeship, another spy operation worth noting, we have successfully declassified and reverse engineered ZC-07 for Agency use.

What does this mean, exactly? 🐻

It means that we were able to produce the same technology found in ZC-07 in an inconspicuous plushie form to our Agents across the globe. Why plushie, you ask? Well, we thought a six-foot bear might be a bit conspicuous.

Indeed, the {LINK REMOVED}Bear Archer plushie is quite the cute but deadly weapon. Stop distracting us with your cuteness, ZC-07 — so, what’s the most important part of this mission?

The research team is quite excited to provide agents all over the globe with a mini version of ZC-07, though we aren’t quite sure if it works just yet. At least it’s cute. 🥺 Make sure you’re following our regular correspondence channels for the latest operative updates.


It also seems Agent Cigar Handler is expanding research around ZC-07 via Operation: Build-A-Bear. It’s unusual for agents to post their movements on YouTube of all places, but we hope he can complete the mission before his credentials are compromised. (If they aren’t already.)

“Paying homage to the 1960’s spy-fi inspired world of I Expect You To Die drew me to this project initially,” said singer Haley Reinhart. “My performance was inspired by the energy of the opening sequences of the first two games along with the sweeping melodies and robust orchestral sound featured on ‘Cog In The Machine.’ It was an absolute thrill to work with such an amazing team and channel a James Bond-like vocal performance (e.g. Shirley Bassey).
