Spellburst - End User License Agreement
Last updated: 4 October 2026This End User License Agreement (the "Agreement") is a legal agreement between you and xixgames (Juan Belon), the developer and publisher of Spellburst (the "Developer", "we", "us"). It governs your use of the game Spellburst, including its updates, patches and any content we provide for it (together, the "Game"). By installing, launching or playing the Game you confirm that you have read and accept this Agreement. If you do not accept it, do not install or play the Game and request a refund through Steam under its refund policy.
1. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and play the Game on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial entertainment. The Game is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights not expressly granted to you.2. Steam
The Game is distributed through Steam. Your use of Steam, your Steam account and your purchase are governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement, which applies in addition to this Agreement. If the two conflict about your Steam account, purchases, refunds or Steam features, the Steam Subscriber Agreement prevails. You are responsible for keeping your Steam account secure.3. What you may not do
- Copy, rent, lease, sell, sublicense or distribute the Game or any part of it, except as Steam allows you to share it.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or extract the code, models, textures, sounds, music or other assets of the Game, except where the law gives you that right despite this restriction.
- Use the Game, its name, characters or assets for any commercial purpose, or in a way that suggests we endorse you.
- Cheat, or use hacks, exploits, bots, memory editors, modified clients or any tool that gives you an unfair advantage or harms other players' experience in online play.
- Disrupt or attack other players, hosts or sessions, or harass, threaten or abuse other players.
- Remove or hide any copyright or ownership notice in the Game.
4. Online and co-operative play
The Game lets you play alone or with other players in sessions hosted by one of the players. When you host or join a session, gameplay information such as your Steam display name, your chosen character and skin, your in-game actions and the match settings is shared with the other players in that session. The host's device runs the session, and we do not control other players or the sessions they host. You play with other players at your own risk and you agree to treat them with respect. We may take action against accounts that break section 3, including removing access to online features where we are able to.5. Progress, settings and your data
The Game stores your progress, owned cosmetics, in-game gold and preferences on your device, and in Steam Cloud if you have it enabled. This data is part of your profile for the Game and you are responsible for keeping it safe. We may reset or adjust progress, balance and rewards when we release updates, fix bugs or deal with cheating. Apart from what Steam provides to us as the developer and what is shared in multiplayer sessions as described above, we do not use your data for other purposes. If we add any feature that collects further personal data, we will describe it in a privacy notice before it is used.6. Virtual items and in-game gold
In-game gold, souls, cosmetic skins and other virtual items have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to anyone. You receive a limited license to use them inside the Game, not ownership of them. They may be changed or removed when we update the Game or if this Agreement ends. If paid cosmetic items are offered in the future, their terms of sale will be shown at the point of purchase and the Steam Subscriber Agreement will apply to the payment.7. Ownership and third-party materials
The Game, including its code, design, characters, audio and visuals, is owned by the Developer or used under license from third parties, and is protected by copyright and other laws. The Game is made with Unreal Engine, Copyright Epic Games, Inc., all rights reserved. Other third-party assets, such as models, animations, effects and sounds, are used under licenses from their respective creators and remain their property. Nothing in this Agreement gives you ownership of any of these materials.8. Updates and changes to the Game
We may update, change, add to or remove features of the Game at any time, including to fix problems, keep it secure and keep it compatible with Steam. Some online features may be changed or end in the future. Playing a newer version means you accept any updated terms that come with it.9. Health notice
The Game contains bright flashing lights, fast-moving visual effects and sudden loud sounds. A small percentage of people may experience seizures or blackouts when exposed to flashing lights or patterns, even without a history of epilepsy. Stop playing and see a doctor if you feel dizzy, disoriented, have involuntary movements or lose awareness. Take regular breaks when you play.10. Termination
This Agreement lasts until it is ended. You can end it at any time by uninstalling the Game and deleting your copies. We may end it and your license to use the Game if you materially break this Agreement, for example by cheating in online play. When it ends you must stop playing and delete the Game, and sections 6, 7, 11, 12 and 13 continue to apply.11. No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that the Game will meet your requirements. We do not guarantee that online features will always be available or that other players will be available.12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill or use, arising from or related to your use of the Game, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim related to the Game is limited to the amount you paid for the Game. Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or affects any mandatory rights you have as a consumer where you live.13. General
This Agreement, together with the Steam Subscriber Agreement, is the whole agreement between you and us about the Game. If a part of it is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer this Agreement to anyone else, but we may transfer it to a successor of the Game. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the country where the Developer is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and without affecting any mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live that cannot be waived by agreement.14. Changes to this Agreement and contact
We may update this Agreement, and the date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continuing to play the Game after a change means you accept it. For questions about this Agreement, contact us through the Spellburst page in the Steam Community or the support contact shown on the Spellburst Steam store page.
