Dave Assistant — Terms of Use (Steam)
Last updated: October 20, 2026

These terms apply to Dave, the Windows assistant developed in Türkiye ("we" means the developer of Dave), when you get it through Steam, and to the optional Dave account. By using Dave you accept them. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights that the consumer protection law of your country gives you. Contact: help@heydave.app

Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Dave on your own computers. You may not sell or redistribute Dave, distribute modified copies, or try to get around Premium.

Premium on Steam
In the Steam version, Premium is offered as downloadable content (DLC) and sold through Steam. The Steam store shows the price before you buy, and the Steam Subscriber Agreement applies to the purchase. Refunds for purchases made on Steam are handled by Steam under the Steam Refund Policy. This does not limit your statutory rights.

Account
An account is optional. You must be at least 13, or the age at which you may use such services without parental consent in your country. Keep your sign-in details safe and use an email address you can access.

Your legal rights if something doesn't work
Dave and Premium must work as described on the store page and in the app. We provide the updates, including security updates, needed to keep them working. If Premium does not work as described, you have the legal rights of your country for digital content and services: to have it brought into conformity, to a price reduction, or to end the contract and get a refund. These rights cannot be limited by these terms.

Free version and changes to Dave
The free version has no time limit. We may change Dave for valid reasons, such as new features, security, technical or legal requirements, at no extra cost to you. If a change significantly reduces your access to or use of Premium, we tell you in advance in Dave or on the Steam store page.

Third-party services
Some features use other services: AI providers (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Ollama), music apps, mail and calendar providers and exchanges. Their own terms apply when you use them with your accounts and subscriptions. We are not responsible for those services, but we remain responsible for Dave itself.

AI answers and commands
AI answers can be wrong or incomplete; check important information yourself. Dave only runs commands on your computer after you approve them.

Games and anti-cheat
Game mode is designed to keep Dave out of the way while you play: during a full-screen game Dave hides, does not read the mouse or keyboard, sends no keys and takes no screenshots. Anti-cheat systems are run by game publishers under their own rules, which we do not control and which can change. We therefore cannot guarantee that an anti-cheat will never flag Dave or take action against your game account while Dave is installed or running. If a game's rules do not allow other programs to run alongside it, or if you want to rule out any risk, fully quit Dave before playing (tray icon → Quit).

Acceptable use
Do not use Dave for anything illegal or to harm others, and do not try to disrupt our servers.

Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where mandatory law, such as product liability law, provides for it. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations (those that make proper use of Dave possible and on which you may rely), limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Ending use
You can stop using Dave and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that seriously breaks these terms, after a warning where this is reasonable.

Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we tell you at least 30 days before the change applies, in Dave or on the Steam store page.

Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring legal proceedings in the courts of that country. Please write to us first; most issues can be solved quickly.
