REAL-TIME SCREEN TRANSLATOR END USER LICENCE AGREEMENT

This End User Licence Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and Tarık Can Korkmaz (the "Publisher") and covers the Real-Time Screen Translator desktop software, updates, optional downloadable components and documentation (the "Product"). Contact: esti.live.translate@gmail.com. By selecting "I accept" or using the Product, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Product.
1. WHAT THE PRODUCT DOES
The Product uses optical character recognition (OCR) to read text only inside a screen area selected by you and displays a translation using the method you choose. It does not record screen video. During local use, screen text is not sent to the Publisher. Two temporary image files used by the OCR engine are repeatedly overwritten and deleted on normal shutdown; details are in the Privacy Notice.
2. LICENCE
Subject to this Agreement, the Publisher grants you a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to install and use the Product on devices under your control for personal or lawful professional purposes. The Product is licensed, not sold. Except where applicable law expressly permits, you may not redistribute or rent it, remove legal notices, bypass technical protections, provide an unauthorised hosted service, or reverse engineer it.
3. MACHINE TRANSLATION AND AI OUTPUT
Translations are generated automatically by neural-network models. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive or out of context and may mistranslate names, idioms, legal, medical or financial terms. It is not an official or certified translation and is not medical, legal, financial or emergency advice. You are responsible for verification before making an important decision.
4. AUTHORITY TO READ THE SCREEN
You are responsible for having the right to view and process the selected content. You may not use the Product to access personal data, confidential communications or trade secrets without authority; unlawfully monitor a person; or infringe copyright or a service's terms. Use on work, school or public devices is subject to the relevant organisation's rules.
5. OFFLINE TRANSLATION
The default method uses local models downloaded at your request. The selected image and recognised text are then processed on the device and are not sent to the Publisher or a translation provider. Hardware, model, language pair, font and image quality affect speed and accuracy.
6. LOCAL-ONLY STEAM DISTRIBUTION
The Steam distribution performs translation only with local models downloaded at the user's request. It does not offer user-configured external translation services. No external translation-service account, API key or separate service payment is required.
7. OPTIONAL MODEL DOWNLOADS
The Product shows each model's name, source, licence and approximate size before download. Download begins only after the user accepts the relevant package terms; the acceptance is recorded locally. To deliver the file, the hosting service may process ordinary network data such as IP address, request time, user agent and download details. Continued availability of a source is not guaranteed.
8. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS
Third-party software and model files remain subject to their own licences. Notices, sources and licence copies are available under "Third-party notices" in the Product. An open-source licence prevails for its component where it grants rights different from this Agreement. Third-party names and marks belong to their owners and do not imply endorsement or partnership.
9. PROHIBITED USE
You may not use the Product to violate law or third-party rights, distribute malware, defeat security, conduct unauthorised surveillance or process unlawful content. Disabling safety protections or model restrictions for those purposes is a material breach.
10. UPDATES, CONFORMITY AND TERMINATION
The Publisher may update the Product for security, compatibility or functionality. Updates and conformity remedies required by mandatory consumer law remain available. You may stop using the Product at any time. The licence may terminate for material breach; mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.
11. PURCHASES, REFUNDS AND CONSUMER RIGHTS
Purchases, payments and refunds through Steam are handled under the terms Steam presents to the user and applicable mandatory consumer law. Where the Product is not in conformity, this Agreement does not remove any applicable right to repair, bring into conformity, price reduction, termination or refund. Digital-content withdrawal rights and exceptions vary by country and delivery circumstances.
12. DISCLAIMER
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY MANDATORY LAW, THE PRODUCT AND TRANSLATION OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". ACCURACY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION ARE NOT GUARANTEED. THIS DOES NOT REMOVE NON-WAIVABLE CONSUMER RIGHTS.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY MANDATORY LAW, THE PUBLISHER IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE OR LOSS CAUSED BY RELIANCE ON TRANSLATION OUTPUT. THIS LIMIT DOES NOT APPLY TO INTENT, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, PERSONAL INJURY OR LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED.
14. GOVERNING RULES AND CONTACT
Mandatory consumer, intellectual-property and data-protection rights in your country remain unaffected. Turkish law applies to matters not governed by mandatory local law, without removing mandatory jurisdiction rights of consumers in their country.
