NVIDIA COMPONENT TERMS FOR NITLINK ON STEAM
Revision: 2026-11-03
1. Scope and separate licenses
These terms supplement the Steam Subscriber Agreement as Subscription Terms for NitLink. They are offered by the publisher of NitLink identified on its Steam store page (the "Publisher"). They apply to NVIDIA proprietary runtime software supplied with NitLink, including the NVIDIA Video Effects SDK, Video Frame Generation runtime, NVIDIA TensorRT runtime, and their accompanying NVIDIA runtime dependencies (the "NVIDIA Runtime"). They do not change the license to the original NitLink code or to any component supplied under its own license.
NVIDIA models supplied under the NVIDIA Open Model License Agreement dated October 24, 2025 are governed by that separate agreement. The restrictions on the NVIDIA Runtime below do not replace or narrow the permissions granted by the Open Model License. Open-source and other separately licensed components retain their own notices, conditions, disclaimers and permissions. If a separate license grants rights that these terms would otherwise restrict, those rights remain available under that separate license. Mandatory rights under applicable law are unaffected.
2. Runtime license and ownership
Subject to these terms and your applicable NitLink Subscription, the Publisher grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to install, reproduce as needed for installation and authorized use, and use the NVIDIA Runtime as integrated into your lawfully obtained copy of NitLink. This license includes authorized personal and business use of NitLink. It does not grant a separate license to distribute, sublicense, sell, rent, transfer, modify or create derivative works of the NVIDIA Runtime. Additional rights you independently obtain from NVIDIA or under a separate component license remain unaffected.
NVIDIA and its licensors retain ownership of the NVIDIA Runtime and their intellectual property. No ownership or trademark rights are transferred to you. Keep copyright, license and other proprietary notices intact and do not misrepresent authorship or imply that NVIDIA sponsors or endorses NitLink or your activities without NVIDIA's written permission.
3. Runtime use conditions
Use the NVIDIA Runtime only for authorized purposes, in accordance with its documentation, applicable law, the rights of others, and NVIDIA's Trustworthy AI terms at https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/agreements/trustworthy-ai/terms/ . Components that NVIDIA licenses only for NVIDIA platforms, including the supplied CUDA runtime components, may be run only on systems with an NVIDIA platform as defined in the accompanying NVIDIA license. This platform condition does not limit NitLink modes that do not use those components.
Except where applicable law or an applicable separate license permits otherwise, you must not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble NVIDIA Runtime binaries, or otherwise attempt to obtain their source code; or reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble outputs generated by NVIDIA proprietary development tools or compilers.
- Circumvent technical limitations, encryption, security, digital rights management or authentication mechanisms in the NVIDIA Runtime.
- Use paid and unpaid NVIDIA components together to evade applicable license fees, limits or quotas.
- Use the NVIDIA Runtime in a way that subjects NVIDIA proprietary components to an open-source or shareware license. This is not a prohibition on using NitLink with compatible open-source software, and it does not restrict rights already granted under separate licenses.
- Replace proprietary NVIDIA Runtime components with other software implementing NVIDIA application programming interfaces.
- Use the NVIDIA Runtime or NVIDIA confidential information to develop competing products or technologies, assist others in doing so, or identify or support an intellectual-property assertion against NVIDIA, to the extent prohibited by the applicable NVIDIA terms.
- Use the NVIDIA Runtime or its components for emotion recognition, or infringe third-party intellectual-property rights.
Disclosure to third parties of benchmarking, competitive-analysis, regression or performance data relating to the NVIDIA Runtime requires NVIDIA's prior written permission, except as permitted by the exception at https://docs.nvidia.com/nvidia-containers-benchmarking.pdf or applicable law. This condition concerns the NVIDIA Runtime; it does not impose a general ban on reviews or discussion of NitLink or its separately licensed components.
Comply with applicable export, import, trade and economic-sanctions laws and restrictions concerning destinations, end users and end uses. Use must also be consistent with NVIDIA's Human Rights Policy referenced in the accompanying NVIDIA Software License Agreement.
4. Support, warranties and liability
NitLink support is provided by its publisher, not NVIDIA. These terms do not promise NVIDIA support or a service subscription. The NVIDIA Runtime is not tested or certified by NVIDIA for safety-critical applications; a user deploying it in such an application is responsible for required safety, redundancy and legal compliance.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NVIDIA supplies the NVIDIA Runtime as is and with all faults, without express, implied or statutory warranties, including warranties of title, non-infringement, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. NVIDIA does not warrant that the Runtime will meet your requirements or be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NVIDIA is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, punitive or consequential damages, replacement-goods costs, or lost profits, revenue, use, data or goodwill arising from use of the NVIDIA Runtime, even if advised of the possibility. NVIDIA's aggregate liability is limited by the license applicable to the component, including section 14.2 of the accompanying May 2025 NVIDIA Software License Agreement for VFG and section 7 of the accompanying TensorRT Software License Agreement for TensorRT. These limitations do not exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. The separately licensed models and third-party components retain the warranty and liability provisions of their own licenses.
5. End of runtime rights
Your rights to the NVIDIA Runtime end when your applicable NitLink license or the publisher's authority to sublicense that Runtime ends, subject to applicable law and any applicable notice or cure requirements. On termination, stop using and remove the affected NVIDIA Runtime copies. This does not terminate independent rights you hold under the MIT License, the NVIDIA Open Model License or other separate licenses. You may retain and use components to the extent those separate licenses permit.

The first two documents identify the NVIDIA runtime terms on which these end-user terms are based. The model agreement and third-party notices identify separate licenses. The runtime documents also contain terms governing the publisher's relationship with NVIDIA; these terms do not turn you into the purchaser of an NVIDIA enterprise subscription or transfer the publisher's procurement or reporting obligations to you. The publisher will present any necessary revisions to these end-user terms when applicable NVIDIA terms change. Applicable separate-license update provisions remain unaffected.
Original NitLink and other components are identified in LICENSES.md, LICENSE-NitLink-MIT.txt, THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt, and the accompanying license directories. Their grants and conditions remain in force.
The separate TensorRT 10.16.0.72 Software License Agreement and its TensorRT
Supplement are included in tensorrt/LICENSE.txt. TensorRT remains an
integrated dependency of NitLink; it is not offered as a standalone SDK.
