MAYBE HERO — END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT
Version 1.0 — 5 October 2026
1. Scope and acceptance
This agreement is between you and Stormy Games, the publisher of Maybe Hero (the "Game"). It governs your use of the Game. Accept this agreement when Steam presents it before using the Game. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Game. Steam purchases, account access and refunds remain subject to the applicable Steam terms and mandatory consumer law.
2. License to use the Game
Stormy Games grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to install and play a lawfully obtained copy of the Game, subject to this agreement and the applicable distribution platform terms. This includes using the Game's enabled gameplay and player-content features. The Game is licensed, not sold. Stormy Games and the respective third-party rights holders retain their rights in the Game and its incorporated technology and content.
3. Unreal Engine and licensed third-party content
The Game incorporates Unreal Engine technology and content licensed from Epic Games and other licensors (collectively, the "Third-Party Materials"). Except for permissions granted separately under the licenses described in Section 4, your permission to use, reproduce, display and publicly perform the Third-Party Materials extends only to their incorporation in the Game in object-code form as an inseparable part of the Game and only to the extent necessary for permitted use of the Game. This agreement does not grant permission to extract and redistribute proprietary third-party source assets or incorporate Unreal Engine technology into another product.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STORMY GAMES, EPIC GAMES AND THE RESPECTIVE THIRD-PARTY LICENSORS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE THIRD-PARTY MATERIALS, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE THIRD-PARTY MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE".
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STORMY GAMES, EPIC GAMES AND THE RESPECTIVE THIRD-PARTY LICENSORS DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE THIRD-PARTY MATERIALS, INCLUDING LOSS OR DAMAGE RESULTING FROM THEIR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THEM.
4. Separate licenses and notices
Some components and assets are provided under separate open-source, Creative Commons or font licenses. Their copyright notices and applicable license texts or links are available in the Game's Credits and Content/Legal directory. Those licenses govern the respective components and assets. Nothing in this agreement limits permissions granted directly by those licenses, imposes additional restrictions inconsistent with them, or requires acceptance of this agreement to exercise those separate permissions. Where a separate license conflicts with this agreement, the separate license controls for the material it covers. Attribution does not imply endorsement by any third-party rights holder.
5. Mandatory rights
Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits any consumer right, warranty, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. The disclaimers in Section 3 apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Your applicable Steam refund rights remain unaffected.
