Strikemania – End User License Agreement
Last updated: October 7, 2026

1. Agreement and acceptance
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("you" or "User") and AlterEyes ("Publisher"), publisher of the video game Strikemania, developed by Michaël Jacquet ("Developer"). Strikemania includes the game software, any updates, downloadable content, artwork, audio, documentation and related materials (together, the "Game").

By installing, copying, accessing or playing the Game, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Game.

The Game is distributed through Steam, operated by Valve Corporation. Your use of Steam is also governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement. If this Agreement conflicts with the Steam Subscriber Agreement, the Steam Subscriber Agreement prevails to the extent of the conflict.

2. License grant
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, the Publisher grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use one copy of the Game for your personal, non-commercial entertainment, on devices you own or control, through your Steam account.

The Game is licensed, not sold. You acquire no ownership of the Game or any copy of it.

3. Restrictions
Except as expressly permitted by this Agreement or by applicable law, you may not:
  • Copy, sell, rent, lease, lend, sublicense, distribute or otherwise transfer the Game or any part of it.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive the source code of the Game.
  • Modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the Game, except through modding tools or features the Publisher officially provides.
  • Use cheats, bots, exploits, automation software, hacks or any unauthorized third-party software that modifies or interferes with the Game, or submit manipulated scores to leaderboards. The Publisher may remove such scores.
  • Remove, alter or obscure any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice in the Game.
  • Use the Game for any commercial purpose, including running it in an arcade, internet café or similar venue, without the Publisher's prior written consent.
  • Use the Game in any way that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.
You may stream, record and share videos and screenshots of your gameplay, including on monetized channels, provided you do not present the content as official material of the Publisher or Developer. The Publisher may withdraw this permission for specific content that it reasonably considers harmful or offensive.

4. Intellectual property
All rights, title and interest in and to the Game, including code, characters, names, artwork, music, sound effects, text and the "Strikemania" name and logo, are owned by the Developer and/or the Publisher or their licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

5. User content
If the Game lets you create or share content such as player names and scores submitted to online leaderboards ("User Content"), you keep ownership of it. You grant the Publisher and Developer a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, display and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Game. You are responsible for your User Content and must not post anything unlawful, infringing, hateful or abusive.

6. Online features, updates and data
Online leaderboards require an internet connection and a Steam account. The Game does not include online multiplayer. The Publisher may provide patches, updates or new content, which may be downloaded automatically through Steam and are covered by this Agreement. The Publisher may modify, suspend or discontinue online features at any time, and does not guarantee that any online service will remain available.

The Game may collect limited technical data, such as crash reports, performance data and gameplay statistics, to operate and improve the Game. Any personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data-protection law, including the GDPR where it applies, and the Publisher's privacy policy, if any.

7. Termination
This Agreement remains in effect until terminated. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling the Game and deleting all copies. The Publisher may terminate it if you breach any of its terms. On termination, your license ends and you must stop using the Game. Sections 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10 survive termination.

8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The Publisher and Developer do not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

Nothing in this Agreement limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law of your country of residence.

9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Publisher and Developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Game. Their total liability for any claim relating to the Game will not exceed the amount you paid for the Game.

These limitations do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. General
Governing law. This Agreement is governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

Changes. The Publisher may update this Agreement from time to time. Continued use of the Game after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect.

Entire agreement. This Agreement, together with the Steam Subscriber Agreement, is the entire agreement between you and the Publisher regarding the Game.
