Littlest Catalyst Privacy Policy
Effective 9/25/2026 - applies to the Littlest Catalyst demo and full game on Steam

The short version: Littlest Catalyst sends nothing anywhere unless you say yes. On first launch the game asks whether you want to share gameplay data; decline and it never asks again. There are no accounts, and we never collect your name, email address, or anything you type. You can change your answer at any time in Settings -> Interface -> SHARE GAMEPLAY DATA.

Who we are
Littlest Catalyst is developed by LittlestGameDev. For anything in this policy, contact littlestGameDev@gmail.com.

What we collect
— only if you opt in
If, and only if, you agree on the first-launch prompt (or turn the setting on later), the game sends the following while you play:

Gameplay events:
Level progress and results, waves survived, objectives completed, upgrades offered and chosen, structures built, in-game economy totals, session length, which menus and features were used

Device & system:
Operating system and version, device / GPU / CPU model, memory size, screen resolution, system language

Performance:
Average and low frame rate per level, scene load times
Error reports: Technical error messages and stack traces produced by the game, so I can fix bugs

Identifiers:
A random identifier created on your device at install (not linked to your name or Steam account), and a per-session identifier

We do not collect your name, email address, Steam identity, precise location, or the names you give your crew. Your IP address is used to deliver the data but is not stored with it.

Why we collect it
Three reasons, and nothing else: tuning difficulty and balance, finding and fixing bugs, and understanding which parts of the game get used. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps or websites.

Changing your mind
Turn off SHARE GAMEPLAY DATA in Settings -> Interface at any time. The game immediately stops sending data and deletes anything queued on your device that has not been sent yet. To have already-sent data deleted too, email us and we will remove it.

Who processes it
The data is processed on our behalf by PostHog Inc. on servers in the United States, under a data-processing agreement. PostHog participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which governs the transfer of data from the EU.

How long we keep it
Analytics data is kept for 12 months and then deleted.

Your rights
Under the GDPR (and similar laws elsewhere) you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, ask for a copy of it, and object to its processing. Email littlestgamedev@gmail.com and we will help — because the data is not linked to your name, we may ask you for the identifier from your install so we can find it. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Steam
Your purchase, ownership, and Steam profile are handled by Valve under the Steam Privacy Policy; we never see your payment details.

Children
Littlest Catalyst is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy
If what we collect ever changes, we will update this page, change the effective date above, and for anything new ask for your consent again in the game.
