END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA) - HALFTIME MANAGER
Version: October 9, 2026
This English version is a translation for information only. The German
version above is legally binding.
§ 1 Parties and scope
(1) The licensor is Frederik Selzer, trading as "Lazybraindev",
Schubertstrasse 24, 76437 Rastatt, Germany,
e-mail: lazybraindev@gmail.com ("Licensor").
(2) This agreement governs the use of the computer game "HALFTIME Manager",
including updates, program components, graphics, 3D models, animations,
sounds, texts and documentation ("Software").
(3) The Software is distributed through Valve Corporation's Steam platform.
The Steam Subscriber Agreement additionally applies to the purchase, the
Steam account and the platform.
§ 2 License
(1) For as long as the user is entitled through their Steam account, the
Licensor grants the user a simple, non-transferable and
non-sublicensable right to install and use the Software for private,
non-commercial purposes. Installation on several of the user's own
devices is permitted within Steam's rules.
(2) All rights in the Software that are not expressly granted remain with
the Licensor.
(3) Acts that are mandatorily permitted by law, in particular under
sections 69d and 69e of the German Copyright Act, remain unaffected.
§ 3 Prohibited acts
Unless mandatorily permitted by law, the user may not
a) copy, distribute, make publicly available, rent, lend or sell the
Software or parts of it, except through the functions Steam provides for
this purpose;
b) circumvent, remove or alter technical protection measures, in particular
the license check through Steam;
c) decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the Software, or translate or
modify its program code or create derivative works from it;
d) extract program components, graphics, 3D models, animations, sounds or
texts from the Software and use them outside the Software;
e) remove or alter copyright notices, trademarks or license notices;
f) use the Software commercially or provide it for a fee.
Mods under § 4 and videos under § 5 remain permitted.
§ 4 Mods and Steam Workshop
(1) Through the Software's official interfaces (mod files in the
lmp-mod.json format, world builder, sponsor editor, theme designer, Steam
Workshop), the user may create and use their own content ("Mods") and
share it with others free of charge. Mods may only be used together with
a lawfully acquired copy of the Software and may not be sold.
(2) Mods may not contain program components or content extracted from the
Software.
(3) The user is responsible for their Mods. Mods may not infringe the rights
of third parties, in particular trademark, name, personality or
copyrights, for example through real club crests, logos or player data
used without permission.
(4) By publishing a Mod in the Steam Workshop, the user grants the Licensor a
simple, free, worldwide and perpetual right to use, display and
distribute the Mod in connection with the Software, including in images
and videos about the Software. Valve's Workshop terms additionally apply
to the publication.
(5) The Licensor may report Mods that violate this agreement or the rights of
third parties and have them removed.
§ 5 Videos, streams and screenshots
The user may create and publish screenshots, videos and live streams of
gameplay, including with advertising or donation revenue. The Software itself
may not be made available in this way, and no impression of a cooperation
with the Licensor may be created.
§ 6 Data import
The optional import function loads data from a source chosen by the user
directly into the user's local storage. The Licensor does not supply or check
this data. The user is responsible for being entitled to retrieve and use it
and for complying with the source's terms.
§ 7 Early Access and updates
While the Software is in Early Access, it may be incomplete and contain
errors. Content and features may change through updates. Updates are provided
through Steam, and this agreement applies to them accordingly. Statutory
update obligations remain unaffected.
§ 8 Fictional content
All bundled club, player and person names are fictional. Any resemblance to
existing clubs, persons or trademarks is coincidental and unintended.
§ 9 Warranty
The statutory provisions apply to defects of the Software.
§ 10 Liability
(1) The Licensor is liable without limitation for intent and gross
negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product
Liability Act and to the extent of any guarantee given.
(2) In the event of a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual
obligation, meaning an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper
performance of the agreement possible in the first place and on whose
observance the user may regularly rely, liability is limited to the
typical, foreseeable damage.
(3) Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.
(4) For the loss of saved games, the Licensor is liable under paragraph 2
only to the extent that the loss would also have occurred with regular
backups, for example through Steam Cloud.
§ 11 Third-party components
The Software contains third-party components, such as open-source
libraries, 3D models, motion data and sounds, that are licensed under their
own terms. Those licenses take precedence for these components. The notices
are in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt in the game folder and on the "About HALFTIME
Manager" screen.
§ 12 Privacy
The Software does not transmit any personal data to the Licensor. Saved
games, settings and error logs remain on the user's device. Steam features
such as achievements, cloud storage, Workshop and rich presence are provided
by Valve, and Valve's privacy policy applies to them.
§ 13 Term and termination
This agreement runs for an indefinite period. In the event of a material
breach of this agreement, in particular of § 3, the Licensor may terminate it
for good cause. Upon termination the right of use ends, and the user must
delete the Software.
§ 14 Final provisions
(1) The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply, excluding the UN
Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For
consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive
them of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the country in
which they have their habitual residence.
(2) If any provision of this agreement is invalid, the remaining provisions
remain valid. The invalid provision is replaced by the statutory
provision.
