In short: Airline Legacy does not collect your name, email, Steam ID or IP address. If you agree when the game first asks, it sends anonymous gameplay statistics that help balance the game. It also sends crash reports so bugs can be fixed. Nothing is sold, and there is no advertising. You can turn gameplay statistics off at any time in Settings → Privacy.

Who we are
Airline Legacy is made by Skyrocket Inc., the studio name of independent developer Piyoros Vephula. Skyrocket Inc. is not a registered company. The developer is responsible for the data described here.

What we collect and why
1. Anonymous gameplay statistics (only if you agree)
The first time you start the game, it asks whether you want to share anonymous gameplay data. Nothing is sent unless you choose Agree.

If you agree, the game sends events such as:
  • game started or ended, monthly results, and the game mode, starting era and difficulty you picked;
  • in-game actions such as routes, hubs, aircraft purchases, agents and marketing (cities and aircraft types, not anything about you);
  • the game version, the game's language, and your operating system name (for example "Windows").
These events are linked to a random ID created when the game is installed. The ID is not based on your device, your Steam account or anything else that identifies you. Each playthrough also gets its own random ID. These only let us see that several events came from the same installation or the same playthrough.

Not collected: your name, email, Steam ID or friends list, your IP address (our analytics provider is set to discard it), precise location, chat messages, or your save files.

Why: to understand how the game is played so it can be balanced and improved.
Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
Provider: PostHog, on servers in the European Union.
Kept for: 12 months, then deleted.
To stop: open Settings → Privacy and select Off. The game stops sending data right away, and anything not yet sent is discarded.

2. Crash reports
If the game hits an error or crashes, it sends a technical report so the bug can be found and fixed. A report contains the error message and where in the code it happened, plus the game version and basic technical details about your system (operating system, graphics card, memory). It does not contain your name, Steam ID, IP address (our crash-reporting provider is set not to store it) or save files.

Why: to fix bugs and keep the game stable.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing a working game.
Provider: Sentry, on servers in the United States. Sentry protects international transfers with recognised safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Kept for: up to 90 days, then deleted automatically.
Crash reports cannot be turned off in the game. If you object to them, email us and we will help.

3. Steam and multiplayer
The game runs through Steam. Your Steam account, purchases, achievements and friends list are handled by Valve under the Steam Privacy Policy. We do not receive your Steam login details.
In online multiplayer, your Steam display name, avatar and chat messages are sent directly to the other players in your match through Steam. They are not stored on any server of ours.

4. Data that stays on your computer
Your saves, settings, game logs and your analytics choice (with the random ID) are stored only on your own computer and are never uploaded:
  • Windows: %APPDATA%\Skyrocket Inc\Airline Legacy\
  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Skyrocket Inc/Airline Legacy/

What we don't do
  • We don't sell or rent data to anyone.
  • We don't show ads or use advertising or tracking SDKs.
  • We don't track you across other apps or websites.
  • We don't build profiles of individual players.

Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or Thailand's PDPA), you have the right to access, correct or delete data about you, to object to its use, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Because the data is anonymous, we usually can't tell which records are yours. To have your gameplay statistics deleted, email us your random ID. It's the "id" line in the file analytics.cfg in the folder listed above. We'll delete every event linked to it.

Children
Airline Legacy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects what is collected, the game will ask for your consent again.
