Circuit Overload Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
This policy explains what information Circuit Overload collects, why, and how you can turn it off. The game is published by Neon Forge ("we").
What we collect
When the setting is on, the game sends anonymous gameplay statistics. These include:
- your progress: runs started and finished, waves and stages reached, how long runs lasted and how they ended
- your choices: starting weapons, upgrades, modules, Fusions, rerolls and Upgrades bought between runs
- bosses defeated, what ended a run, achievements earned and tutorial steps completed
- technical details: the game version, the Windows version, your screen resolution and your system language
- a random ID created by the game on your computer, so we can tell launches from the same installation apart
We do not collect:
- your Steam account ID or Steam name
- your friends list
- your chat
- your payment details
- recordings of your gameplay
Your IP address is discarded and is not used to work out your location.
Why we collect it
We use these statistics only to improve the game. They show us where players get stuck, which weapons and upgrades are too strong or too weak, and why players stop playing. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.
Who processes it
The statistics are stored by PostHog Inc. in its European Union data centre, on our behalf, and are kept for up to one year. Steam itself is run by Valve and is covered by the
Steam Privacy Policy (https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/).
Your choices
- Turn it off: open Settings and switch off Share anonymous gameplay data. The game then deletes its random ID and any statistics it has not sent yet, and stops sending anything.
- Delete what was sent: Settings shows the first 8 characters of your random ID. Email them to neonforgegaming@gmail.com and we will delete the matching data.
Children
Steam accounts are for people aged 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect information that identifies children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
