This End-User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("User") and Hex Coded LLC ("Licensor") governing your use of Alt Tab Toolkit, including applicable updates, components, features, and downloadable content provided by Licensor (collectively, the "Software").
By installing, accessing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS AGREEMENT, DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THE SOFTWARE.
The Software is a system utility and visual customization platform that may interact with the operating system, display information alongside other applications, execute real-time visual effects, and support user-created content.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Software complies with the terms, rules, acceptable-use policies, and other requirements of any third-party applications, games, platforms, or services used alongside the Software.
1. GRANT OF LICENSE
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Licensor grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on computers under your control, provided that the Software is obtained through your authorized Steam account or another distribution method expressly authorized by Licensor.
This Agreement grants you a license to use the Software. It does not transfer ownership of the Software or any proprietary technology contained within it.
2. LICENSE RESTRICTIONS
Except where expressly permitted by applicable law, applicable third-party license terms, or written authorization from Licensor, you may not:
a) Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially distribute the Software or its proprietary components separately from an authorized copy of the Software.
b) Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble proprietary portions of the Software, except to the extent permitted by applicable law or applicable third-party license terms.
c) Remove, obscure, or alter copyright notices, proprietary notices, trademarks, attribution notices, or other ownership information included with the Software.
d) Use the Software to violate the terms, rules, or security requirements of any third-party application, game, service, or platform, including through cheating, gaining an unauthorized unfair advantage, bypassing security controls, or circumventing anti-cheat systems.
e) Use the Software in a manner intentionally designed to damage, interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to another application, computer, network, account, or service.
f) Extract, redistribute, sublicense, or incorporate proprietary Software components into another product, framework, library, development tool, or service except where expressly authorized in writing by Licensor.
3. COMPATIBILITY AND THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE
Alt Tab Toolkit is an independent system utility that may be used while other applications, games, overlays, security software, anti-cheat systems, graphics software, and other third-party programs are running.
Hex Coded LLC does not control the operation, policies, compatibility requirements, or enforcement decisions of third-party software or services.
Third-party applications, games, operating systems, drivers, security systems, anti-cheat systems, and platform policies may change over time and may affect compatibility with Alt Tab Toolkit.
Hex Coded LLC does not guarantee that Alt Tab Toolkit is approved, supported, or permitted for use with every third-party application, game, service, or security system.
You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the applicable rules, terms, and policies of third-party applications, games, platforms, and services you choose to use with Alt Tab Toolkit.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hex Coded LLC is not responsible for compatibility issues or actions taken by third parties under their own rules, policies, security systems, or enforcement processes.
4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Except for User Content and third-party materials described elsewhere in this Agreement, all rights, title, and interest in and to the Software are owned by Hex Coded LLC or its licensors.
This includes, where applicable, the Software's source and object code, executable files, libraries, user interface, original graphics and assets, documentation, designs, proprietary systems, and other original materials supplied by Licensor.
HLSX and ShaderUI are proprietary technologies of Hex Coded LLC.

HLSX software components, libraries, runtime components, compiler-related components, tools, documentation, and associated materials remain the property of Hex Coded LLC.
ShaderUI software components, libraries, rendering components, runtime components, tools, documentation, and associated materials remain the property of Hex Coded LLC.
Your possession or use of copies of HLSX or ShaderUI components distributed as part of Alt Tab Toolkit does not grant you a separate development, framework, SDK, redistribution, or standalone-use license for HLSX or ShaderUI.
Your permitted use of those components is limited to their use as part of the Software unless Hex Coded LLC grants you additional rights in a separate written agreement.
Additional proprietary notices may be included in Legal_Hlsx.txt and Legal_ShaderUI.txt distributed with the Software.
5. USER-CREATED CONTENT AND STEAM WORKSHOP
The Software may allow you to create, import, modify, save, display, download, or share content, including shaders, themes, visual configurations, images, media, presets, metadata, or other materials ("User Content").
5.1 Ownership of User Content
Hex Coded LLC does not claim ownership of your original User Content merely because it was created, edited, displayed, or processed using Alt Tab Toolkit, HLSX, ShaderUI, or other features of the Software.
Your rights in User Content remain subject to any rights belonging to third parties whose materials you incorporate into that content.
Nothing in this section grants you ownership of HLSX, ShaderUI, Alt Tab Toolkit, or proprietary Hex Coded LLC assets that may be used by or referenced by your User Content.
5.2 Steam Workshop
Content submitted through Steam Workshop is also subject to the Steam Subscriber Agreement, Steam Workshop terms, Steam Online Conduct rules, and other applicable Valve Corporation policies.
Those Steam terms govern rights and licenses associated with the submission, hosting, distribution, removal, and use of Workshop Contributions through Steam.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have all rights and permissions necessary to upload or distribute content through Steam Workshop.
5.3 Third-Party and Workshop Content
Workshop Content and other content created by users is not necessarily created, reviewed, tested, endorsed, or approved by Hex Coded LLC.
User-created content may contain visual effects, programming errors, excessive resource usage, incompatible behavior, offensive or unlawful material, copyrighted material, or other content outside Licensor's control.
Licensor may, but is not obligated to, moderate, restrict, disable, report, or request removal of User Content where permitted by the applicable platform and where Licensor determines such action is appropriate.
Availability of any particular Workshop item or other third-party content is not guaranteed.
5.4 Responsibility for Uploaded Content
You may not knowingly upload or distribute User Content through features associated with the Software if you do not have the necessary rights to distribute that content or if doing so would violate applicable law or applicable Steam rules.
6. PHOTOSENSITIVITY AND VISUAL EFFECTS
THE SOFTWARE CAN DISPLAY REAL-TIME SHADERS, ANIMATED EFFECTS, USER-CREATED CONTENT, AND STEAM WORKSHOP CONTENT THAT MAY CONTAIN FLASHING LIGHTS, RAPID CHANGES IN BRIGHTNESS OR COLOR, HIGH-CONTRAST PATTERNS, OR OTHER VISUAL EFFECTS.
Such visual effects may cause seizures or other adverse reactions in individuals with photosensitive epilepsy or other visual sensitivities. Some individuals may not previously be aware that they have such a sensitivity.
User-created and Steam Workshop content is not necessarily reviewed or tested by Hex Coded LLC for photosensitive effects.
If you experience dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitching, disorientation, loss of awareness, discomfort, or other unusual symptoms while viewing visual content, stop viewing the affected content immediately.
You are responsible for exercising appropriate caution when enabling, downloading, creating, or viewing user-created visual effects.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited under applicable law.
7. PRIVACY, DIAGNOSTICS, AND LOCAL LOGGING
Alt Tab Toolkit may generate diagnostic information and logs locally on your device for debugging, troubleshooting, and support purposes.
At the time of this Agreement, Alt Tab Toolkit does not automatically transmit diagnostic logs, analytics, telemetry, or usage information to Hex Coded LLC.
Diagnostic logs remain local unless you choose to retrieve and provide them to Hex Coded LLC, such as when requesting technical support.
Information you voluntarily provide to Hex Coded LLC for support may be used as reasonably necessary to investigate and respond to your request.
Steam, Steam Workshop, and other services operated by Valve Corporation may separately process information according to Valve's own agreements and privacy policies. Those services are outside the scope of Hex Coded LLC's local diagnostic logging practices.
If Licensor introduces automatic telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, or materially different data practices in the future, applicable disclosures or privacy terms will be updated as appropriate before or in connection with those practices.
8. UPDATES AND MODIFICATIONS
Licensor may update, modify, add, remove, or discontinue features of the Software.
Software updates may be required for continued compatibility, security, functionality, or access to online or platform-dependent features.
Licensor may also update this Agreement to reflect changes to the Software, applicable law, distribution platforms, or Licensor's practices.
Material changes to this Agreement may be communicated through Steam, the Software, or another reasonable method.
Where required by applicable law, Licensor will seek additional consent before updated terms become binding.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, continued use of the Software after an updated Agreement becomes effective may constitute acceptance of the updated Agreement.
If you do not agree to an updated Agreement, you may discontinue use of the Software.
9. TERMINATION
This Agreement remains effective until terminated.
Your rights under this Agreement may terminate if you materially fail to comply with its terms.
Upon termination of your license, you must cease use of the Software and uninstall copies of the Software to the extent required by the termination.
Termination does not affect provisions that by their nature should continue after termination, including provisions concerning intellectual property, warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, and applicable law.
10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LICENSOR DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.
LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY OPERATING SYSTEM, APPLICATION, GAME, DRIVER, GRAPHICS DEVICE, SECURITY SYSTEM, ANTI-CHEAT SYSTEM, WORKSHOP ITEM, OR OTHER THIRD-PARTY COMPONENT.
USER-CREATED CONTENT AND WORKSHOP CONTENT MAY BE CREATED BY INDEPENDENT THIRD PARTIES AND MAY NOT HAVE BEEN REVIEWED OR TESTED BY LICENSOR.
YOU ASSUME THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH USING THE SOFTWARE AND OPTIONAL USER-CREATED CONTENT EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT THAT SUCH RISKS OR RESPONSIBILITIES CANNOT LAWFULLY BE ASSIGNED TO YOU.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AND EXCEPT IN CASES OF LICENSOR'S WILLFUL, WANTON, OR RECKLESS MISCONDUCT OR WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT OTHERWISE LAWFULLY BE LIMITED OR EXCLUDED, LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SOFTWARE.
THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES ARISING FROM LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOSS OF ACCESS TO THIRD-PARTY ACCOUNTS OR SERVICES, THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE INCOMPATIBILITY, OR USER-CREATED CONTENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LICENSOR'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SOFTWARE OR THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
a) the amount you paid to Licensor for the Software giving rise to the claim; or
b) five U.S. dollars ($5.00 USD).
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. INDEMNIFICATION
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hex Coded LLC and its officers, employees, agents, and representatives from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from:
a) User Content you upload or distribute;
b) your infringement or violation of another person's intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
c) your intentional misuse of the Software;
d) your material violation of this Agreement; or
e) your violation of applicable law or applicable third-party terms.
This section does not require you to indemnify Licensor for claims caused by Licensor's own conduct where such indemnification would be prohibited by applicable law.
13. THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE AND SERVICES
The Software may contain, use, communicate with, or be distributed alongside third-party software, libraries, codecs, frameworks, services, or other components.
Third-party components may be governed by separate copyright notices, open-source licenses, proprietary licenses, or other terms.
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to restrict rights granted to you directly under an applicable third-party license.
Alt Tab Toolkit uses FFmpeg libraries. The FFmpeg build distributed with the Software is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 3 or later. FFmpeg is third-party software and is not owned by Hex Coded LLC. Applicable FFmpeg license texts, notices, build information, and corresponding source materials are provided with the Software or accompanying legal-notice materials.
FFmpeg and its covered libraries are licensed separately under their applicable open-source licenses. Your rights under those licenses, including any rights to modify, replace, reverse engineer, or debug the LGPL-covered libraries, remain governed by those licenses.
Where required, applicable third-party notices and license terms are provided with the Software or through accompanying legal-notice materials.
Steam and Steam Workshop are services of Valve Corporation and are governed by Valve's applicable agreements and policies.
14. GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Software shall be brought in a state or federal court of competent jurisdiction located in Ohio, and the parties consent to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to deprive a consumer of protections, rights, remedies, or forums that cannot lawfully be waived under the laws applicable to that consumer.
15. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or limited as necessary to make it enforceable.
If it cannot be made enforceable, the affected provision shall be severed to the minimum extent necessary.
The remaining provisions of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
16. RELATIONSHIP TO STEAM TERMS
Your use of Steam and Steam Workshop remains subject to the applicable agreements between you and Valve Corporation.
This Agreement governs your license to Alt Tab Toolkit from Hex Coded LLC and supplements applicable Steam terms with respect to the Software.
Nothing in this Agreement modifies or overrides obligations imposed directly by Valve Corporation through the Steam Subscriber Agreement, Steam Workshop terms, Steam Online Conduct rules, or other applicable Valve policies.
17. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Agreement, together with any additional terms expressly incorporated into it and any mandatory terms imposed by the platform through which the Software is distributed, constitutes the agreement between you and Hex Coded LLC concerning your license to the Software.
A failure by Licensor to enforce any provision of this Agreement on one occasion does not waive Licensor's right to enforce that provision or another provision in the future.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, continued use of the Software after an updated Agreement becomes effective may constitute acceptance of the updated Agreement.
If you do not agree to an updated Agreement, you may discontinue use of the Software.
9. TERMINATION
This Agreement remains effective until terminated.
Your rights under this Agreement may terminate if you materially fail to comply with its terms.
Upon termination of your license, you must cease use of the Software and uninstall copies of the Software to the extent required by the termination.
Termination does not affect provisions that by their nature should continue after termination, including provisions concerning intellectual property, warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, and applicable law.
10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LICENSOR DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.
LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY OPERATING SYSTEM, APPLICATION, GAME, DRIVER, GRAPHICS DEVICE, SECURITY SYSTEM, ANTI-CHEAT SYSTEM, WORKSHOP ITEM, OR OTHER THIRD-PARTY COMPONENT.
USER-CREATED CONTENT AND WORKSHOP CONTENT MAY BE CREATED BY INDEPENDENT THIRD PARTIES AND MAY NOT HAVE BEEN REVIEWED OR TESTED BY LICENSOR.
YOU ASSUME THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH USING THE SOFTWARE AND OPTIONAL USER-CREATED CONTENT EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT THAT SUCH RISKS OR RESPONSIBILITIES CANNOT LAWFULLY BE ASSIGNED TO YOU.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AND EXCEPT IN CASES OF LICENSOR'S WILLFUL, WANTON, OR RECKLESS MISCONDUCT OR WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT OTHERWISE LAWFULLY BE LIMITED OR EXCLUDED, LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SOFTWARE.
THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES ARISING FROM LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOSS OF ACCESS TO THIRD-PARTY ACCOUNTS OR SERVICES, THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE INCOMPATIBILITY, OR USER-CREATED CONTENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LICENSOR'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SOFTWARE OR THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
a) the amount you paid to Licensor for the Software giving rise to the claim; or
b) five U.S. dollars ($5.00 USD).
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. INDEMNIFICATION
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hex Coded LLC and its officers, employees, agents, and representatives from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from:
a) User Content you upload or distribute;
b) your infringement or violation of another person's intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
c) your intentional misuse of the Software;
d) your material violation of this Agreement; or
e) your violation of applicable law or applicable third-party terms.
This section does not require you to indemnify Licensor for claims caused by Licensor's own conduct where such indemnification would be prohibited by applicable law.
13. THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE AND SERVICES
The Software may contain, use, communicate with, or be distributed alongside third-party software, libraries, codecs, frameworks, services, or other components.
Third-party components may be governed by separate copyright notices, open-source licenses, proprietary licenses, or other terms.
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to restrict rights granted to you directly under an applicable third-party license.
Alt Tab Toolkit uses FFmpeg libraries. The FFmpeg build distributed with the Software is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 3 or later. FFmpeg is third-party software and is not owned by Hex Coded LLC. Applicable FFmpeg license texts, notices, build information, and corresponding source materials are provided with the Software or accompanying legal-notice materials.
FFmpeg and its covered libraries are licensed separately under their applicable open-source licenses. Your rights under those licenses, including any rights to modify, replace, reverse engineer, or debug the LGPL-covered libraries, remain governed by those licenses.
Where required, applicable third-party notices and license terms are provided with the Software or through accompanying legal-notice materials.
Steam and Steam Workshop are services of Valve Corporation and are governed by Valve's applicable agreements and policies.
14. GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Software shall be brought in a state or federal court of competent jurisdiction located in Ohio, and the parties consent to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to deprive a consumer of protections, rights, remedies, or forums that cannot lawfully be waived under the laws applicable to that consumer.
15. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or limited as necessary to make it enforceable.
If it cannot be made enforceable, the affected provision shall be severed to the minimum extent necessary.
The remaining provisions of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
16. RELATIONSHIP TO STEAM TERMS
Your use of Steam and Steam Workshop remains subject to the applicable agreements between you and Valve Corporation.
This Agreement governs your license to Alt Tab Toolkit from Hex Coded LLC and supplements applicable Steam terms with respect to the Software.
Nothing in this Agreement modifies or overrides obligations imposed directly by Valve Corporation through the Steam Subscriber Agreement, Steam Workshop terms, Steam Online Conduct rules, or other applicable Valve policies.
17. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Agreement, together with any additional terms expressly incorporated into it and any mandatory terms imposed by the platform through which the Software is distributed, constitutes the agreement between you and Hex Coded LLC concerning your license to the Software.
A failure by Licensor to enforce any provision of this Agreement on one occasion does not waive Licensor's right to enforce that provision or another provision in the future.
