FaceRobots - Rules and Privacy

FaceRobots is an online game played with friends and strangers. Games run directly between your computers through Steam's network: there is no FaceRobots server recording what you do.

WEBCAM, IMAGES AND VIDEOS
If you turn it on, your webcam picture (or the image, GIF or video you pick) is sent LIVE to the players in your game and shown on your robot's screen. The game does not record or store it anywhere: it disappears when you turn it off or leave the game. But other players can take screenshots: never show anything you could regret.

VOICE CHAT
Your voice is sent live to the players near you in the game (through Steam). The game does not record or store it anywhere.

OFF BY DEFAULT
Your webcam, your images and voice chat are turned off every time the game starts. You turn them back on yourself in the options, with a warning before sharing. A logo at the bottom right shows when your camera is live.

WHAT IS FORBIDDEN (FaceRobots and Steam rules)
• Any sexual content or nudity, and absolutely any content involving minors.
• Hate, racism and discrimination (origin, religion, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation).
• Harassment, insults, threats and intimidation.
• Shocking real violence or gore.
• Sharing someone's personal information, impersonating someone, filming or showing a person without their consent.
• Illegal content or content you have no right to share (copyright).
• Cheating, spam and scams.

YOUR PROTECTION
When each player arrives, you choose whether you want to see their face. In the Escape menu, you can mute them, set their voice volume, block their face, block them completely or report them. A blocked player is kicked and can no longer join your games. Reports (Steam name, reasons, last picture of their face) are sent to the game team, who can forward them to Steam. Streamer mode (options) hides other players' faces and names.

MINORS
The game shows content made by other players, which nobody can check in advance. If you are a minor, preferably play with people you know, and talk to a trusted adult if something makes you uncomfortable.

By accepting, you confirm you have read these rules and agree to follow them, as well as the Steam Subscriber Agreement and Steam's online conduct rules. Breaking them can get you blocked by other players and reported to Steam.
