BREW ALMIGHTY - END USER LICENCE AGREEMENT (EULA)

Last updated: 19 October 2026

This End User Licence Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and Dillan Stephenson trading as Sudo Games ("we", "us", "our"). It covers your use of the video game Brew Almighty, including any updates, patches, playtest builds, downloadable content, multiplayer features and related materials (together, the "Game").

By installing, copying or playing the Game you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or play the Game. If you bought the Game on Steam and do not accept this Agreement, you may be able to get a refund under Steam's refund policy.

This Agreement sits alongside the Steam Subscriber Agreement, which governs your Steam account and your purchase. Where the two conflict about your Steam account, purchases or refunds, the Steam Subscriber Agreement applies.

1. AGE AND CONTENT

1.1 The Game is intended for adults aged 18 and over. By playing it, you confirm you are 18 or older.

1.2 The Game is a work of fiction and satire. It contains strong language, violence, weapons, crime, alcohol, and a fictional substance. It does not endorse, encourage or give instructions for any illegal or dangerous activity, and nothing in it should be copied in real life.

1.3 All characters, businesses, organisations, products, places and events in the Game are fictional or used fictitiously. Any resemblance to real people, living or dead, or to real businesses is coincidental.

1.4 Please drink responsibly. The Game is not advice about brewing, selling or consuming alcohol, or about running a business, employing people or dealing with the authorities.

2. LICENCE TO USE THE GAME

2.1 Subject to this Agreement, we give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the Game for your own non-commercial entertainment, through the platform you got it from (for example Steam).

2.2 You are given a licence to use the Game. You do not buy the Game itself. We and our licensors keep all rights, title and ownership in it, including all code, art, models, animations, music, sound, text, characters and story.

3. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO

Except as expressly allowed by this Agreement, or where applicable law gives you a right that cannot be excluded, you must not:

(a) copy, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute or otherwise transfer the Game or any part of it;
(b) reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Game, or try to extract its source code or assets, except to the extent the law expressly permits;
(c) extract, re-use or redistribute the Game's art, models, music, sound or other assets in other products;
(d) use cheats, exploits, bots, hacks or unauthorised third-party software to gain an unfair advantage in multiplayer, or to disrupt other players' games;
(e) host, operate or take part in any unauthorised server or service that emulates or redirects the Game's multiplayer;
(f) remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other notice in the Game;
(g) get around, disable or share ways round any access control in the Game, such as a playtest time window or access code; or
(h) use the Game in any way that breaks the law.

The Game includes host-only debug and admin tools, such as the console and the admin menu. You may use them in your own sessions. You must not use them, or anything else, to harass, grief or harm other players without their agreement.

4. VIDEOS, STREAMS AND SCREENSHOTS

You may stream the Game, make and share videos and screenshots of it, and earn money from that content through the usual platform programmes (for example YouTube or Twitch monetisation), as long as:
(a) the content includes your own gameplay or commentary, and does not simply reproduce the Game's soundtrack, cutscenes or assets on their own;
(b) you do not suggest you are us, or that we endorse you; and
(c) you follow the rules of the platform you publish on.

We may withdraw this permission for specific content that we reasonably think is harmful, misleading or unlawful.

5. ONLINE AND CO-OPERATIVE PLAY

5.1 The Game includes online co-operative play hosted by players. When you host or join a session, the other players in that session can see your network connection details, such as your IP address, as is normal for player-hosted multiplayer. Only play with people you trust.

5.2 We do not run or moderate player-hosted sessions, in-game chat or player behaviour, and we are not responsible for what other players do or say. Please use your platform's reporting and blocking tools (for example Steam's) to report abuse.

5.3 Members of the development team may be shown in the Game with a "DEV" tag. Nobody else may claim to be, or pretend to be, a member of the development team.

5.4 Developer drop-in. In playtest builds, and in other builds if you switch it on, the Game lets members of the development team see that your session is running and join it to say hello, without an invite or password and even when it is full. To do this, while the setting is on, the Game lists your session in Steam's matchmaking service. The listing includes your Steam display name and Steam ID, your world's name, day and rank, the number of players and an approximate network region. Only development-team accounts can see the list in the Game, and everyone in the session is told when a developer joins. You can switch this off at any time in Settings ("Developers can drop in"), and your session is then not listed at all. The host can remove a developer from the session like any other player.

5.5 Online features may change, be limited, or stop working (for example if a platform service changes). We will try to give reasonable notice of any planned shutdown of features we control.

6. UPDATES, PLAYTESTS AND DEVELOPMENT

6.1 The Game may be updated, patched or changed over time, which can include adding, changing or removing content and features. Some updates may be needed to keep playing online, because different versions may not be able to connect to each other.

6.2 If the Game is offered in a beta, test, early access or in-development form, it may contain bugs, may change significantly, and save games from earlier versions may not always carry over. Please back up anything you care about.

6.3 Playtest builds are free, temporary and for testing only. They may only be playable during a set time window, may need a valid access code or key, and may stop working when the playtest ends. Access to a playtest does not include access to the full Game. Please do not share playtest builds, keys or codes with anyone else.

7. SAVES, DATA AND PRIVACY

7.1 The Game stores your save files and settings on your device, and may also store them in the platform's cloud storage (for example Steam Cloud) if you have that switched on.

7.2 Your platform account (for example your Steam account) is run by the platform operator under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details.

7.3 We do not sell your personal data. With your permission only, the Game sends anonymous gameplay and technical data to Unity Technologies ("Unity"), which provides our analytics service (Unity Gaming Services Analytics). The first time you start the Game it asks whether you want to share this data; nothing is collected unless you choose "Yes, share". If you agree, the Game sends: what you do in the Game (for example which tutorial steps you complete, which features you use, your Brewery Rank, in-game money and progress, and when you return to the menu), performance information (frame rate, the area of the game you are in), basic hardware and software details (graphics card, memory, processor, screen resolution, graphics quality setting and operating system), and short, anonymised error messages. This data is linked only to a random identifier created for your installation of the Game. It does not include your name, your Steam account ID or profile, your chat, or the names you give to your worlds or characters.

7.3A You can change your mind at any time in Settings ("Share anonymous gameplay data"). Turning it off stops collection straight away. "Delete my data" in Settings stops collection and asks Unity to delete the data already collected from your installation; if your device is offline, the request is sent the next time the Game can reach Unity.

7.3B Unity processes this data for us under its own privacy policy: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy. Any crash or log files stored on your device are only sent to us if you choose to send them.

7.4 The Game reads your Steam account ID and the current time from Steam on your device, to check playtest access and to show the "DEV" tag for the development team. This check happens on your device and during your multiplayer sessions, and, if developer drop-in is on, to list your session for the development team (see 5.4). The Game does not send your Steam account ID to us or to our analytics provider.

7.5 In playtest builds, the feedback key saves a screenshot and a short note (including the build version and your in-game position) to a folder on your device. Nothing is sent to us unless you choose to send it. If you have agreed to share anonymous gameplay data (section 7.3), the Game also records that the feedback key was pressed, but not the screenshot or the note.

7.6 If you have a question about your data, contact us using the details in section 15.

8. FEEDBACK

If you send us suggestions, bug reports or other feedback, you agree we may use them freely to improve the Game and our other products, without payment or credit to you.

9. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS

The Game includes software, assets, fonts and sounds licensed from third parties, which may be credited in the Game's credits or accompanying files. Those components remain the property of their owners and may be subject to their own licence terms. Nothing in this Agreement gives you any right to use them outside the Game.

10. ENDING THIS AGREEMENT

10.1 This Agreement applies until it is ended. You may end it at any time by uninstalling the Game and deleting your copies.

10.2 We may end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break this Agreement, for example by cheating to disrupt other players or by distributing the Game without permission. If that happens you must stop using the Game. Where the law requires, we will tell you why.

10.3 Sections 2.2, 3, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13 and 14 continue to apply after this Agreement ends.

11. YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE GAME

11.1 If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that this Agreement does not take away. For example, in the UK, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Nothing in this Agreement affects those rights.

11.2 To the extent the law allows, and apart from those rights, the Game is provided "as is". We do not promise that it will be free of bugs, errors or interruptions, or that it will run on every system, including systems below the minimum specification shown on the store page.

12. LIMITS ON OUR LIABILITY

12.1 Nothing in this Agreement limits or excludes our liability for:
(a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
(b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
(c) anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

12.2 If you are a consumer and we break this Agreement or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable.

12.3 If digital content we supply damages a device or other digital content that belongs to you, and this happens because we failed to use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you fair compensation.

12.4 We are not liable for business losses. The Game is for private, non-commercial use only.

12.5 Apart from section 12.1, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in connection with the Game is limited to the price you paid for it.

13. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or of the country where you live. If you live in another country, you also keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection laws of that country.

14. GENERAL

14.1 Changes. We may update this Agreement from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Game or the law. We will make the current version available on the Game's store page. If a change significantly affects your rights, we will try to give you notice, and you may stop using the Game if you do not agree.

14.2 If part of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of it still applies.

14.3 If we do not enforce a right straight away, that does not mean we have given it up.

14.4 This Agreement, together with the platform's terms, is the whole agreement between you and us about the Game.

14.5 We may transfer our rights and obligations under this Agreement to another business, for example if the Game is sold. This will not reduce your rights.
