End User License Agreement for Hit The Buzzer
Last updated: October 25, 20261. Scope
This agreement is between you and Hypercorse UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Mittelstraße 1, 01445 Radebeul, Germany ("Hypercorse") for the game Hit The Buzzer, including updates and the online features (leaderboards, daily challenge). Valve Corporation's Steam Subscriber Agreement also applies.
2. License
Hypercorse grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the game for private, non-commercial purposes through your Steam account. Recordings, streams and videos of the game are expressly allowed, including monetized ones.
3. What is not allowed
You may not reverse engineer, decompile or modify the game except where the law mandatorily allows it. In ranked rounds you may not use programs, macros, scripts, devices or manipulations that generate input, alter times or influence results, nor bypass, disrupt or feed fabricated results to Hypercorse's servers.
4. Anti-cheat
To keep leaderboards fair, the game checks during ranked rounds for injected input, known cheat and macro programs, foreign libraries and a manipulated game clock, and reports the result to Hypercorse. Details are in the privacy policy (hypercorse.com/privacy) and at hypercorse.com/gaming/hit-the-buzzer/anti-cheat.
5. Consequences of violations
Implausible rounds are not ranked. On anti-cheat hits or other violations of section 3, Hypercorse may discard rounds and exclude you from the online leaderboards and the daily challenge in steps:
- Warning
- 7 days
- Permanently
6. Online features
The online features need an internet connection and a Steam account. Hypercorse aims for reliable operation but does not guarantee constant availability. Hypercorse may discontinue the online features with at least three months' notice; the game then stays playable offline. Statutory rights for digital products remain unaffected.
7. Liability
Hypercorse is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under product liability law. For slight negligence, Hypercorse is liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.
8. Term
This agreement applies as long as you use the game. For serious or repeated violations of section 3, Hypercorse may permanently block access to the online features.
9. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected. If a provision is invalid, the rest remains valid. Hypercorse does not take part in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board. In case of discrepancies, the German version prevails.
