Forza Horizon 5 does all the basics correctly and is a great entry point for anyone looking to get into car games, but other than its large car list and decent handling system, there isn't much else.

A remake of the original game from 1998 that plays almost too much like it's from 1998. Unique gimmicks and gameplay just barely hold up the weak map design and occasionally awkward driving system.

Another game that's just "X, but not X". Taking bits and pieces of Trackmania and doing an okay job at remaking it. I'd recommend just going and playing the real thing if you want a time trial racer.

Amazing feeling of control over the car with a damage system that rivals Beam.NG. The game can be casual where you use your opponents as braking zones, or a hardcore feeling racer that requires focus.

The sometimes awkward driving in this game doesn't hold the overall package back much thanks to the fun and chaotic Power Plays and the how they bring a new view on the way you drive.

A lackluster nostalgia cash grab that stabs you in the throat with the sheer amount of also lackluster DLC. Driving feels about as good as Garfield Kart and the graphics are okay at best.

One of the worst handling systems I've seen in a triple A game in a long time. Truly unfortunate as the rest of the game is (mostly) good! The graphics look nice and the cars have plenty of options.

A great mix of a truck sim and a offroad sim held back by overly aggressive DLC. $6 for 3 useless trucks that isn't even included in the season pass? Really? The vanilla game is good, the DLC is not.

Any praise for this game would go to Flatout 2, it's direct inspiration that it wears on it's sleeve. Trailout by itself is a fine game for a development team of 4, but why not just play Flatout 2?

The handling system feels delightful and the graphics are good for a low poly game, but the overall package is held back by snails pace grinding that makes you feel like you never left your job.
