This game is pretty fun for what it is, if you don't go in expecting it to be like L4D2. The game has a deck system allowing you to change the way you play; that alone offers a lot of replayability. You can be either a full melee build, team doctor, or a coin scavenger. There's some aspect of team building when it comes to the deck system. Overall, yes, it is not L4D2 although it does share some aspects of it but, if you can get this game on sale , it is fun especially with friends.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

I also played Left 4 Dead quite a bit before Back 4 Blood, and after playing B4B for a while, I honestly find it difficult to go back to L4D.

The card system for gaining buffs and negative effects seemed odd to me, but the longer I played I started to see the benefits and like it. Supply chains give you a path through a set of upgrades to get more cards, and then you can assemble the cards into decks for specific runs.
The game has a hub system where after each run you return to a camp, which has stations to practice, spend supply points, customize weapons and launch runs. It is a nice touch,

I especially loved playing as Doc. There’s something incredibly satisfying about keeping everyone alive while the rest of the team is running around making questionable decisions. 😂
I’ll admit, I did NOT like the card system at first. When I started playing, I wasn’t really sold on it and thought it was just making things more complicated than they needed to be. But after playing more and experimenting with different builds, it slowly grew on me. Eventually, putting together a deck and figuring out what worked for my playstyle became part of the fun.
117.5 hours later, I’d say the game definitely got its money’s worth out of me.
If you have some friends willing to jump in and cause problems with you, Back 4 Blood is a pretty damn fun time.

\n\n\t\t\t\tI especially loved playing as Doc. There’s something incredibly satisfying about keeping everyone alive while the rest of the team is running around making questionable decisions. 😂
I’ll admit, I did NOT like the card system at first. When I started playing, I wasn’t really sold on it and thought it was just making things more complicated than they needed to be. But after playing more and experimenting with different builds, it slowly grew on me. Eventually, putting together a deck and figuring out what worked for my playstyle became part of the fun.
117.5 hours later, I’d say the game definitely got its money’s worth out of me.
If you have some friends willing to jump in and cause problems with you, Back 4 Blood is a pretty damn fun time.
