Extremely interesting concept as playing as the AI / Computer during a horror game, but execution was pretty terrible. Visually the game was very impressive, but it failed in all other aspects. Other than vague ideas of cosmic horror nothing in this game is scary, things get weird but they never get scary. The game tries to get "tense" at some points but because you never get attached to the characters you don't really care. The story is pretty mediocre, its obviously inspired by older (and much better) sci-fi stories. The game leaves out SO MANY details that its a bit ridiculous. There is a difference between being selectively vague as not to give away too much and create interest, and then there is simply explaining nothing and then letting the audience decide pretty much everything for themselves...the latter is hardly a story.
The gameplay is just awful, the "puzzles" are 10 second minigames that have no tutorial, that's what makes them a "puzzle." (I'm not exaggerating or trying to sound condescending, the puzzles are dead simple!) The majority of the game is just spent trying to find where the next puzzle is. I beat this game in 4 hours, and I could have beat it much quicker if not for rummaging around trying to find the next puzzle. The game takes place on a space station...an environment where every room is pretty much identical and is just a hallway. Its realistic sure but not interesting to explore, making the roaming bits tedious and boring.
The gameplay is extremely easy and mistakes have no consequences, the horror aspects are not scary- even as psychological horror, the characters are forgettable because they are never explained, the story is very simple and very vague...so what does this game have? Normally I could forgive a good story game for having poor gameplay because its treating itself like an interactable movie, but if a game has no good gameplay AND no good story what does it have to offer? Good graphics? If the graphics alone attract you to this game I would recommend saving some money and just viewing the provided screenshots on the store page. If you MUST buy this game, buy it on sale.

Has a tiny bit in common with the movie Arrival, but if the aliens are a bit more "aggressive" and can corrupt your ship's AI. The perspective of controlling the corrupt AI felt new and unique. The 360 free-floating gimbal-type camera can be a bit nauseating for non FPS players.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

It took me out of it so damn hard. It nearly made me give this a bad review. It also happens when she holds the camera sphere. Had me clipping into the damn environment. Overall it's a very good game. I found the narrative interesting and it's fun to jump around between systems as an AI character. I've played the game a few times at this point thanks to Game Pass, but decided it was time to actually buy a copy for myself for my next replay.
There are some frustrations, though. While it is a very interesting game, the guidance could use a bit of work. You'll spend a lot of time in a few sections just wondering where the hell to go and the tip function ("X to repeat last request") is surprisingly useless. You'll find yourself lost in several sections and have to look up a walkthrough, even on your third playthrough (trust me), and you have to be very careful about missable documents if you want the achievement (I had to use a guide to find most of them).
Still, even though it is flawed and sometimes frustrates me with its confusing design, I keep coming back to it, so if that's not a ringing endorsement for it, I don't know what else to say.
I will give a few tips to help you, though, should you play the game for yourself:
-Use the map and your spheres CONSTANTLY. They really help you navigate the station where just rotating as a sphere can throw you off and disorient you. You can stop your sphere in an area to quickly find it on the map.
-There are unpowered laptops in several rooms. You can power them up by finding the (generally green) power cords along the walls leading to a plug. Interact with the plug to turn it on to power the laptop.
-You can combine data, but you only need to do it when the game tells you to. If you don't have the necessary files, the game won't tell you to do it, so don't bother with the feature.
-When you get the schematics for hatches in the various subsections of the station, you only really need to remember one command: the unlock function. You'll use the lock function eventually too, but just memorize the unlock function and then use it on every door you can find in quick succession. It's kind of satisfying and once you've done it, you won't need to do it for a while until the story progresses.
-When using the astrophysics terminal, you will probably get very confused. You need to go to the black splotch and use the near-field scan. Most targets have nonsense "ID" names, but the named target in that splotch is what you need. You can safely ignore everything else on that screen.

However considerable number of mechanics are frustrating - zero gravity and no map with no defined up and down is absolute nightmare to navigate. Many instructions are vague causing you to search for what to do next. This is rather poor exectution of brilliant idea. Few quality of life improvemnts, more detailed descriptions of what to do and it would be an increadible game. But due to the issues it's only decent.

There are many things that I find subjectively wrong with the game but it also comes with an unhealthy amount of bugs. Things I encountered: Animation issues, people teleporting, camera clipping into the level geometry, the game resolution changing automatically, audio getting stuck if you start interacting with something but get out of range.
It feels like a movie idea crammed into a game without thinking things through. Even visually it just always has black bars at the top and bottom. Not just for cinematic moments, it's like that the entire playtime. The basic concept is good but it fails to deliver an enjoyable game.
You are an AI and a lot of the game is about you following instructions. It is evident that the idea was to have minor puzzles that you have to solve and to give you room to investigate your surroundings and stumble over lore by doing so. Th issue is that it leads to many situations in which the game expects you to do a specific thing before you can progress and if you happen to not find the right item to interact with you are stuck.
At one point in my play through poor little AI me was sent to help a person that is outside of the station. The instructions are just to find the person that has active radio contact with us. You can ask the NPC that sent you to repeat what they want from you but at no point can you make the NPCs exchange/repeat information on what the current status is, what the NPC in need of help sees, if they can see the AI sphere approach... you are just left with radio silence and have to wonder around the station to maybe bump into the person you are looking for. Another instruction was to verify damages that were diagnosed through camera feeds earlier. How does AI me not have logs on where those were and how can AI me not visualize on the station map where I need to go? Who knows, hope you paid attention earlier otherwise you have to float around in space for 10 more minutes until you find what the game expects you to click on.

Some of the puzzles have those frustrating moments of "How should I have known to do that", but the UI and feel of the game make even those solutions feel worth it.
Great soundtrack, sound design, writing, pacing. Overall a great Puzzle game for the price (I got it on sale for $5-ish. I would have paid $10.

However, the execution did not keep my interest. The gameplay is slow and confusing. It's a pain to get through, honestly. The sound design can be hostile--the beeping and alarms are grating rather than atmospheric. If you must know the story, I recommend a Let's Play on Youtube instead.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
