Suggestion: It would be really helpful if the map showed a marker indicating the player's current location. It's very easy to get lost in the jungle, especially for new players. There is no where near enough tribes people to fight, and you can tell that this game was made by someone that is artistic. And then randomly you just pick the sht up. I couldn't find a reason. most of the time I was trying to get the interface to work it wouldn't give me any directives as to what should be happening. "Make a fire" I tried, you won't let me. finally let's me. I also couldn't make a firestarter, due to not being able to craft/select the item from the book. literally wouldn't let me build it. had sticks out the arse, and couldn't do a thing. You have to balance 3 food groups as well as water, so eating the same thing over and over will not give you a full health bar. The drain on hunger and thirst is pretty severe, so I would not recommend playing on the difficulties that just increase their depletion. At first it's pretty hard to meet your food needs but once you find a few good sources it becomes pretty easy. The medical stuff can also be pretty complicated, but it becomes satisfying once the pieces start to click. Honestly in early game you might want to consult the wiki here and there to mitigate some frustration.
The base building is pretty simple and limited compared to some other games, but it's good enough. The game encourages you more to live on the move as you have to do a lot of exploring for the story. Exploration can be hard as you have to collect pieces of the map and there is no GPS, and at time very little landmarks. If you get lost easily you'll have a bad time.

The person I played with would save, only for us to load in during the next session and all of that progress to not have been saved properly, forcing us to re-do things, this was especially rough after a very long and productive session.
It is a lot of fun, the learning curve is rough but you feel so accomplished once you work things out... But the loss of hard won progress really did just kill it.
