You're a journalist doing journalist things, investagating a series of disappearences that are tied to this cult. A certain name keeps coming up, so imagine the surprise when said name calls you to 'help you' along with your case. You're given a series of instructions, instructions that lead you down a dark rabbit hole, a rabbit hole that has you accessing the darkweb to find a series of keys to prevent another gruesome murder, cool. I mean, someone who definitely isn't me only ever used the darkweb to buy drugs and never once prevented any murders *shrug* So off you go in search, meanwhile, everything in this game is trying to kill you or ruin your day. Whether it's a polish hitman or the cult, or the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ feds, you will have a hard time completing the objectives given with the time you've been allocated. I often use the term 'frustration simulator' to describe games that have a steep learning curve. Welcome to the game 2 goes above and beyond that and transcends into something synonymous with malice and spite. Spite for you, the player. I don't think i've ever played a game this hard before, and just when I thought I had a handle of things, Welcome to the game 2 found a way to spit in my mouth and never once even brought me dinner first.
