The game has a lot of replayability and the DLC characters, bosses, and items really are worth getting as well. i personally waited until it was on sale to pull the trigger and so I've got an incredible value out of it for the price. I remember being worried when I saw the reviews coming in for seekers of the storm but I had faith in the new approach and they eventually fixed it and put the game in a really good position. Risk of Rain 2 might be one of my favorite games of all time, the music is amazing, the gameplay is great, the variation of runs allows for a lot of replay ability. However, after 400 hours I sit and look back at my time spent on the game and I have this feeling of dread in my stomach as I realized I played this game. I can't explain it, I feel a pit in my stomach and every few months I open it and play a run, I remember why I enjoy it, then as soon as I die, I alt f4 and want to forget everything I just did. This game, more than any other, makes me get up and walk away from my computer after completing one run, whether I won or lost it. - In-game builds are wide in selection, growing characters and feel their strength piling up makes the gameplay increasingly crazy with all the bangs and booms. This experience scales up with the combo of certain modifiers + co-op.
- The enemy types are also come in wide varieties in different maps. Not just simple repetitive attack patterns that makes the gameplay gets boring fast. They'll make players watch out in all angles and beating them feels rewarding, sometimes it even have me go "go eat sh*t" and flipping the bird to the screen.
