To start, I want to say that I enjoy this game. As a creative person I love decorating and designing. I like being able to go in and clean up a house, and I like all the little minigames where you put things together and the painting/tiling. But this game REALLY lacks in the decorating and designing part of house flipping. Almost all of the furniture is either very basic or minimalist and modern so you're very limited in what kind of decor style you want to do unless you buy the overpriced DLC. The creators of this game really enjoy pumping out DLCs. The only saving grace is the workshop which can kind of allow you to add some more variety to your furniture and decorating.

Then, instead of finishing that sequel and adding needed content, they chose to make a "remaster" of this game (which is only 8 years old and still completely fine). They could have just improved on this game, but they saw an opportunity to grift people into buying a new copy of a game they might already own, and then all new DLC to go along with it - and that's not even counting the sequel. There are some outliers, but they are either the tiny and cheap 4 room houses that you buy at first, or the large houses that you don't get until you've saved up some serious cash.
Other than that it is a fun game, and a very calming one that I enjoy. I just wish they spent some more time on the house selection so that it didn't feel like I was flipping the same two houses over and over again.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

I spent around 160ish hours on Xbox before building a PC and moving away from console gaming. In 2025, I repurchased the game for PC along with all the DLCs. I wouldn’t recommend buying every DLC, as some, like Dine Out, can be underwhelming. If you’re considering House Flipper, I highly suggest the Garden Flipper and Farm Flipper expansions. While I’m not interested in the jobs or the animals these add-ons offer, the ability to build your own house is fantastic and truly enjoyable.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
