little tactical board game. It's more chess with giant robots than Battletech. Your goal in each mission is not to destroy the enemy, but to minimize the amount of damage they can cause within the turn limit and to try and complete certain tasks to gain points to buy upgrades for the rest of the campaign. There's not much in the way of a story—once you've played through every island, that's pretty much all the world building and character development you're going to get. The game is fun to play though, and there are a large number of different mechs with different abilities and weapons to try out. It's not the sort of epic adventure I'm going to devote a significant amount of time to, but it's cheap and it's a lot more fun than solitaire or minesweeper.\t\t\t\t\t<div good about this game, but I hated it. If you want a roguelike game where you can screw up in a single mission and waste a load of time then this if for you. It's heavy duty and complex. There's a degree of RNG that people claim to be able to mitigate, I was unable to get around it. I just found the whole thing incredibly unsatisfying and irritating. If you've played something like Tactical Breach Wizards or other tactics games, this is nothing like them, do not assume liking those games will get you into this.\t\t\t\t\t<div I've nearly gotten all the achievements and haven't tried the advanced missions or enemies. The final squad that you can get is also really challenging.
