The reason I gave this game a negative review is because of the balancing system for versus (pvp). Right now the system will detect when one team has more players than the other and will automatically switch the players around. The problem with this is that it ONLY balances based on player count and not player level. I just played a game where the enemy team was almost completely made up of level 1000+ players and my team didn't have a single player over level 500. You can guess how that went.
If the devs are reading this, PLEASE implement a system that not only detects the player count but also the player level and balances the teams based on that.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

I really hope the devs fix this amazing game, cuz every FPS should have a way to easily play with friends and/or private multiplayer matches. If they do I would definitely push more people I know to get in on it (and also change my review to "recommend"). If not, I'll probably never play it again because it's just too frustrating to play something so good that is also so unfinished.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Lots of recoil to deal with, gameplay rewards single firing mode, etc. Handling is kind of similar to ARMA Reforger with recoil, reload time, sway. Little bit more arcadey but gave me a similar vibe which I like!
The game could def use some improvements in movement but it's fine, you get used to it! Only played a little bit but player base seems nice, no trolling and not try hard serious. Seems most people just wanna play and have fun! No flaming on accidental friendly fire and such. 8/10 would recommend for hardcore shooter lovers!

To be fair, this game is so much fun. The gunfights feel real, the maps are gritty and loud, and every round has you holding your breath. When it works, it's hard to put down.
However, the game is about 8 years old now, and it shows. Servers drop you all the time. You'll spend more time rejoining than playing some nights.
So here's my advice if you pick it up: play local single player. No lag, no getting booted mid-fight, just you and the bots going at it. That's where this game still shines.

The guns sound and feel great with each having a "personality" and they are all lethal either instantly or within a few shots so no arcadey hopping around. I used to play this game a lot more back in the day (2021-2022) and I will say it was overall a good time. However, stepping back into this game with some friends last week made me realize that the vast majority of casual players have left and those who haven't are people who have 4000+ hours. The reason? My guess is the lack of evolution. There is only one true mode that anyone gives a ♥♥♥♥ about, and that's Push (maybe Domination if you just wanted to frag out) the other modes are completely dead, you will not find a game. This has been the case for years. The lack of big updates has also made the game feel very stale. After two years of not playing, I come back and it is the same game with ~ 3 new guns and one new map. After. Two. Years. This is not enough to keep people coming back to play, and now they're just in cruise control and praying more people will be dumb enough to buy the game and they aren't coming out with anything significant, just skin DLCs.
As for the actual gameplay, if you still feel like buying this game, it's alright... I guess. The gunplay is the strongest thing they have going for them. It's crisp, responsive, and above all, immersive. Guns are loud and really have that *oomph* to them. It's a milsim when it comes to the TTK, you will die fast and you will kill fast. This comes with some benefits and negatives. On one side, every gun is viable to an extent because 90% of them are a 2-3 shot kill center mass. However, this also means you can and will die to a single 7.92 mauser round, out of a 100-round MG-42 with a bipod and a 4x scope. You will find this as a common strat, someone prone in a different area code with a scoped LMG that is basically a fully automatic sniper with how accurate it is. It is one of the lamest things ever to die to. If they wanted their gameplay to feel more fair, remove anything above a 2x on everything besides snipers, so people (other than marksman who is supposed to play back) are incentivized to grow a spine and push. But who am I kidding? They haven't touched the balancing of the game in years, so they likely never will.
If you do buy this game, you will occasionally have some funny interactions with players, but the kind you'd have if you were playing Rust. Someone's raging, someone's casually throwing out slurs, and someone else is playing terrorist propaganda music through their phone speaker. But most of the time it's crickets.

I would say to play solo there is a slight mismatch where point defending turns cheesy for a moment, but other than that forgot last time i would come back whenever i got some time avaiable like good old CS times.
